Camping de Vidy Lausanne in Lac Léman (VD)

A bit difficult in winter because you can't drive onto the plots and stand on the road

Parking space right on the lake, the location is unique. The site was very busy with long-term campers, most of whom weren't there but had taken up everything. Sanitary facilities clean but very old; A renovation would soon be necessary. VE inconvenient, chemical toilet on the site outside.

Campsite directly on Lake Geneva/at the IOC. We arrived in the afternoon outside reception opening hours. Entrance and parking space selection was possible independently. Registration the following day without any problems. Staff very friendly. Sanitary facilities are outdated, but very clean. Public transport ticket for Lausanne included in the price. We would come again.

Awesome location, a little dated but serviceable-a lot of permanents make for a grubby look-great for a couple of nights

Nice location right on the lake. The receptionist was very friendly. The “winter price” of CHF 20 was good. The sanitary facilities were heated and well equipped, but had the charm of a military barracks. For us it is a good place to stay overnight.

Camping right on the lake. Sanitary facilities a little older but clean and good. Water, sewage and electricity on site. Good connection to Lausanne public transport. Staff super friendly and helpful. Price-performance good. Had a medical emergency and received excellent support from the staff.

A very nice campsite, very centrally located, you can easily explore the lake promenade by bike and also go a little further. Lausanne city center is also easy to reach on foot. Nice people at the reception. It's all ok. We'd love to come back.

A very large campsite where you have people who must live all year round. The sanitary facilities are vintage but clean and the services complete: ironing board. Shower and WC laundry. Garbage sorting hair dryer. Wireless. A restaurant is available. you cross it to go to the banks of the lake. The only downside is the lack of privacy of the pitches. The campsite offers you free bus tickets and as it is located in the city center, transport is available in front.

Perfect location for a campsite.

The location of the campsite is very good, but the sanitary facilities are underground. Very outdated! The operator of the CP is the city of Lausanne. Shameful! A core renovation is long overdue. In addition, there is no demarcation of the parking spaces. You stand in the middle of long-term campers.

We have stayed in the space reserved for motorhomes at the entrance. The woman who helped us at the reception was super friendly and also spoke Spanish. The location is perfect and the price for Switzerland is quite good.

Arrived for the night in a tent, very pleasant campsite, very well maintained, The pleasant neighborhood. The exceptional welcome, the kindness of this Lady. And a little bonus, a free all-day transport pass that she prepares for you the next day before leaving. Lovely girl, on reception and the campsite is ideal. Lovely and flat and only €20 for a tent and 2 cyclists. There was no problem getting us on, even though it was 7pm. before we arrived.

Nice campsite for city visits and cycling around Lake Geneva. Unfortunately, not everyone adheres to the privacy rules when positioning their camper or caravan. This means that you sometimes literally almost sit on each other's laps and when the whole family comes along, it is really annoying. Furthermore, it is Swiss expensive. 250km away in France, yes, it costs 1/4 of the money, but Lake Geneva is pricelessly beautiful.

Of all the Swiss sites, this one was the most run down facilities, barest minimum of shop items and general maintenance. Bummer for the price point which was also the highest across all the 2 weeks. Could do with some love!

Parking space in front of the actual campsite. With electricity (unfortunately not enough connections) and its own V+E, all facilities at the campsite can be used (showers, toilets, etc.). Free bus ticket to the city center. Only costs half the cost of parking spaces on the campsite.

Overall a nice place. The reception was very friendly and no matter when we had a question, we were always supported in an incredibly friendly manner. The site has nice, large pitches, lots of greenery and enough shade when the sun is shining. The way to the water is short and with the free ticket you can take the metro very quickly to the city. The good WiFi is worth mentioning and it would be nice if that were the case everywhere. The negative thing is the sanitary facilities, they are old and really not up to date. Otherwise there are a lot of long-term campers on the site, so I'm always a bit skeptical. But four stars are appropriate.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean but are getting old. Everything you need is there. It's quiet at night. The bus goes to the metro station every 15 minutes.

It's a campsite I just ate there. It's very good

The place is right on the lake. You should take the bus to the city center. Tickets can be obtained at reception. Every now and then you can hear the nearby street, but on the whole it's tolerable. Have stayed there several times for one night while passing through. Sanitary facilities are no longer brand new, nor are they still in order. There is a small shop that is open in the summer months. At Pentecost you have to either pre-order bread rolls in the restaurant or buy them outside.

Well located campsite with access to the lake

The place itself is quite nice and close to the water, but the sanitary facilities are the last thing. Very rustic and absolutely not up to date, some showers don't drain or don't have warm water. In the morning when everyone wants to use the toilet, it is closed for over an hour to clean. You can also save yourself the restaurant, as the food is available at exorbitant prices and then it is at best passable.

Really very nice campsite, very clean very close to the lake just one downside, some Spanish motorhome drivers are real idiots without embarrassment and rude...

Camping very well located to see Lausanne. On the shore of Lake Geneva. The plots are quite large. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and speak Spanish very well. Public transport included in the price and is taken next to the campsite. The only downside is that the bathrooms are quite old and there aren't many of them, so with the large influx of people there were, they are small. Of course, very clean and with paper and soap. recommendable

really great camping and I love that you din't need a reservation for a tend. friendly people and has everything that's needed. toilets and showers are alright and the restaurant is great, although it closes way earlier then what they say.

We were able to stay here for one night without a reservation. The location is perfect, right on Lake Geneva and Lausanne. The campsite is spacious and beautifully laid out. On the square there is a restaurant, a few slot machines, a nice playground and a small shop (but the prices are reasonable!) Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities for a **** campsite are totally outdated and dirty. Really sad given the location and these prices! We paid €75 for a car, a small caravan, two adults and two children (4+6) with electricity. Free WiFi and bus tickets included.

The Vidy campsite restaurant serves delicious meals. The campsite is nice, but I've never been there

Paying €68 for one night, with a tiny pitch and dilapidated toilets from the 60s is unacceptable!!!

The lake view behind the campsite is mesmerising! People at reception are very helpful and kind, had a very convenient stay over all.

Beautifully located campsite right near the park and beach with a nice restaurant. The young woman at reception was very friendly and helpful, we always felt very well advised. A special plus point are the free bus tickets. The sanitary facilities are a bit old and could use some renovation, but they were always clean.

With our camper and daughter + dog, we had a very positive experience at this campsite. We thought it was expensive for €110 for two nights, but it was worth it. Reception is great, they speak their languages ​​and they arranged a bus ticket for Lausanne which we did. Sanitary facilities are not new but clean, working and easily accessible. Fine for us. Camper spots are also fine. Location was very surprising because the boulevard is right next to the campsite where you can walk all day long, people, swimming, eating, drinking or exercising.

Large campsite with many pitches and a lot of activity. Older but clean sanitary facilities. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you should look further, but if you are looking for conviviality, you have come to the right place. There is a restaurant with a decent menu and the lake is just steps away.

Receptionists lovely and extra helpful. Tent area ok ish. Restroom facilities weird but ok. Shop useful but limited, restaurant reasonable , on cycle path next to lake so lovely view.

Nice location by the lake, at least 30 minutes walk to the city center, the free bus ticket is great. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, the space is otherwise great, free choice of space for tents, staff very friendly!

The camping itself is really large and is placed nicely by the water. The woman in the reception is extremely friendly. The camping has playgrounds and a restaurant where you can get good food and drinks, but kitchen is closed from around 13.30 to 19.00. It also has a shop where you can buy camping stuff and groceries. The beach and ocean is easily accessible through a gate. The only reason I give one less star is that the sanitary buildings seems to be from the ww2. Its really old, but its free so I cant complain. But as other people say, it works, but does not feel very clean. Free public transport pass are given out to go into the city during your stay. And free wifi. Washing machines and dryers.

Nice place with spacious plots, open-air tois takes a bit of getting used to, everything is expensive as usual, location is great.

My family and I stayed here with the caravan for one night. The lake was easy to walk on and you could see the sunset well. There are lots of playgrounds, which is great fun for the little ones. The WiFi is very tempting for teenagers ;) The price is normal for Switzerland.

A holiday feel in a beautiful, clean, family-friendly place. The lake is the only swimming pool, and that's a good thing. the hysterical cries of children are absent, which is unexpected. 😁

The campsite is beautifully located, right on the lake and near Lusanne. You have a free choice of places on the lawn. The sanitary facilities are getting old, which isn't a tragedy in itself, but they are also extremely dirty in the morning. This is rather unpleasant and not suitable for 4 stars.

The medical facilities are bottomless and very ugly and not recommended.

We ate well there and the cordon bleus are homemade. a real treat. terrace without car passage overlooking the lake. I really recommend this address.

The person at the reception was charming. I am surprised by people's opinions regarding this campsite. In my case, when I go to a campsite I like that the services function, that is, that the water comes out hot, that the toilets are clean, that the reception moment is agile and pleasant... yes, the toilets will be old, but the water comes out hot, with pressure and they are clean, what more could you ask for. It has access to the lake, an ideal place to take a dip and disconnect. They also give you a ticket to go to the center and take a pleasant walk. The campsite was very full and the night silence was respected. For me a ten.

Been there several times. Was always treated in a friendly and courteous manner. Cleanliness is good. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are already getting old. There is certainly a need for trade here. But otherwise very good and close to the city with a free public transport ticket that will be given. I'd love to come back :-)

Right on the lake. Free transport tickets for visiting Lausanne was a bonus. Downside - our pitch was next to the maintenance shed and a tractor pulling a train of wheelie bins went by at 8am (fine if you're an early riser!)

Very, very nice campsite, with a great location. Prices are very fair and tent meadow offers some shady spots. The only drawback would be the sanitary facilities, which are a bit old, but still only a small point of criticism as they still work perfectly. Recommended!!

When I said “right on Lake Geneva” I had imagined a place with a lake view, but for that you have to go through the restaurant. Weird atmosphere with lots of long-term campers. But the worst thing is the old, smelly and dirty sanitary facilities - that's really not possible and is no longer up to date. You get the feeling that they are resting on the good location and postponing necessary modernizations. The only plus is the central location and the children's playground.

If the weather is good, you can cycle along the lake to Lausanne. Very helpful staff, nice children's playground, fine restaurant by the lake with great offers. Yes, many people say negative things about the sanitary facilities, but for me as a camper they have to work and be clean! They definitely are, and I never found an unclean toilet or shower facility. Schöner, grosser camping sehr nahe am stadtzentrum. Es hat einen kleinen Spielplatz, ein Restaurant, einen Shop und diverse Sanitäre Einrichtungen. Empfehlenswert.

Pas bon, rien de frais, salade en sachet, ananas et cerises en boîte,. Sauce industrielle, sauce poulet take away, crêpe inmangeable. Je ne recommande pas et sur je ne reviendrais pas.

Camping hat wenig Charmes. Sehr kleine Plätze kein oder nur sehr wenig Zugang zu Wasser. Für zwei Nächte 100CHF. Zugang zur Stadt Lausanne sehr gut erschlossen. Schöner Weg von Vidy nach Ouchy dem See entlang!

Freundlicher Empfang, schöne Plätze mit Rasen und Bäumen, gute Lage am See, ÖV direkt in der Nähe, gut funktionierende und saubere Sanitäranlagen (wenn auch etwas alt), gute Entsorgungsstelle, in der Nacht sehr ruhig, Preis/Leistung gut, WLAN leider nicht gratis.

Personnel de l'accueuil sympa. Places pour camping cars parfaits. Vivement que le resto soit réouvert ....

Preis/ Leistung nicht gerecht .Viel zu teuer für eine Nacht ,kein direkter Zugang zum See . Personal sehr freundlich. Platz an sich sehr einfach gehalten.

Camping sehr gut gelegen direkt am lac leman. Direkter Zugang zum See und Promenade. Stellplätze sind gross genug. Leider sind die WC's und Duschen sehr alt. Ansonsten sehr freundliches Personal.

Super ruhiger Campingplatz. Nahe vom See und vom Zentrum. Wir waren jetzt im Winter hier 20/21 Februar. Der Camping ist Preiswert und man bekommt sogar gratis Tickets für Bus und metro. Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis für ein Schweizer Campingplatz hervorragend. Sanitäre Anlagen eher älter aber sehr gepflegt. Im Sommer ist da sicher sehr viel Betrieb. Aber dann bin ich nicht auf den Campingplätze. Wirklich ein toller Platz....

Petit camping tranquille en ville au bord du lac léman

Sehr schön die Möglichkeit für 24.- zu übernachten. Man ist nicht im Camping drin, sondern auf einen geschlossenen Areal ausserhalb des Campingplatzes mit aber Strom, Wasser und Sanitäranlagen.
