Lovely site, visited in 2019 at Easter and again in 2023 - was markedly busier between the 2 visits and looked stowed out this Easter (2024) 🐣so happily avoided this time.🚫 Has an onsite shop and restaurant that serves nice pizzas 🍕 and also offers take out to take back to ur MH🚍 which we prefer

Superbly equipped campsite in a wonderful setting with a view of waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Every half hour a post bus runs to the train station with connections to the Jungfrau region. Extremely nice team, very clean washrooms and the cozy Weidstübl Restaurant serves delicious Swiss specialties. We'd love to come back. Thanks to all.

The girl at the campsite store is very unfriendly. Yesterday, 1 minute before closing time and customers still leaving, they didn't let us in to buy 3 chocolates, it was a matter of 1 minute too. The next morning we had to leave, there were 10 minutes left to open and they didn't allow us to enter either. Very upset. The pillows are the worst I have ever seen. They don't give you bedding at 5 degrees and they charge you more than €5 for a blanket.

Camping is ok. We made a reservation for 6 nights, but then had to leave a day early. Still we had to pay for 6 nights. We would have paid for the place, but we can't understand why we also had to pay tourist tax for the people who weren't there. The campsite also canceled all discount options (green camping card, etc.) at the turn of the year. There were enough guests!!

I really wonder how this place gets 5 stars. When we arrived we were greeted extremely unfriendly at check-in. A man with glasses checked us in. It seems to be some kind of temporary worker who doesn't understand anything about guest service. I think his colleague called him Thomas. Only the groundskeeper Berry is really top. He explained everything to us, connected the electricity and was super friendly. The whole place is very unkempt. The sanitary facilities are getting old and only seem to be cleaned once a day. Of the 6 family pools, 2 are permanently closed. The condition does not correspond to a 5 star place. The hair dryer is completely rusted. In the evening that means no warm water. A long-term camper said that there are often problems with the hot water, but only makeshift repairs are made. According to the long-term camper, the locked family bathrooms are also a permanent condition. The wash house below is also in a similar condition. There is a baby bath, but exactly opposite. the entrance door. No radiant heater, no pad, nothing. We've never seen anything like it anywhere. In general the place is not child friendly. There are no children's washbasins etc. in any washhouse. Not even a stool so that the children can get to the washbasin. There are washing machines, but only with an app. The stopper on the hand washing sink for clothes is missing. So you are forced to use the washing machines. The sinks for dishes are ok. There are 2 dishwashers that can be used for 3 CHF. A photo is attached. These machines are horror. Nobody cleans these. Anyone who washes dishes here needs a doctor! The shop offers a small selection of groceries at extremely overpriced prices. The bread roll prices are a complete rip-off. The same rolls cost half as much in the local supermarket and still cost 0.50 CHF per piece less at the bakery. Campers are literally being ripped off here. Here too, a long-term camper reported that prices have doubled or even tripled since last season. The playgrounds for children are a joke. A lot of things are defective or not safe for kids. In the evening the camping site is lit with what feels like 6 W bulbs. You can't move around without a flashlight. In some areas there is no light at all, such as the barbecue areas. If you want to grill there you either have to wait for summer or bring a lantern. There is a drying room for towels etc. Ski boots, car mats, etc. are also dried there, so it stinks. We didn't put our towels in there. Completely incomprehensible why the operator doesn't intervene here and everyone does what they want. Who wants to hang up their towels where others are drying their floor mats or where there is an extremely smelly smell of welding shoes. There is another room for ski boots, but this is more like a lumber room. There are 2 old rickety wooden shelves in the room and several tables and 1 chair. A long-term camper said that these tables and junk have been here for years. He has complained about it many times, but nothing has happened. When the skiers return, everyone has to share a chair or change boots while standing. Half of the room is unusable. Completely incomprehensible why the junk isn't cleared out and the space isn't used properly. The operator probably has other priorities. We're definitely coming. not again and would like to warn other campers. As beautiful as the area is, the place is an absolute disaster. And the guy at the reception who also did our check out said def. missed his job. Please replace him and let him work in the kitchen.

A wonderful, fabulous place. Clean, very nice staff. Lots of spacious showers, plenty of space to wash dishes. There is a room where you can wash a dog, even a small one. Camping 2023 - 11 days Spontaneous arrival after shock at another campsite. Since we stayed 11 days, we even got a discount. The staff are all really nice and attentive, high praise. The sanitary rooms are in good condition, there are 2 buildings that contain showers and bathrooms for both M and W. However, I have to say that in the building near the campsites, I think the changing rooms are a bit narrow, it is difficult to change into dry clothes after showering, there is no rubber mat or something similar with grooves here. In addition, a lot of soil/mud from street shoes collects on the ground due to the moisture, which I didn't like at all. There is a kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer that could perhaps be renewed. Otherwise there are several hobs to use for little money, dishes to borrow and a microwave + kettle. We felt very comfortable and the campsite is in a very good location. Every now and then a helicopter takes off somewhere nearby during the day, so you should be aware of that. If we hadn't already seen everything, we would book the place again.

Nice cabin with all the kitchen facilities which were spotlessly clean. They had all the amenities for cooking. Good location close to waterfall and water stream. It's nice and cozy esp in the night. It's away from bus stop so if Ur travelling with luggage it's a long walk. They do have a pick up and drop service to the station but have to inform them a day early. The staff do not help you with the luggage from the reception to the cabin. It's very difficult to drag your luggage to the cabin as the pathway is of mud. They should atleast have a golf cart to transfer the luggage to the cabins.

The special location of the campsite made it so interesting for our visit to Lauterbrunnen. You can marvel at the mountains and waterfalls all around. The sanitary facilities are in tip top order and modern. The only drawback is the prices. Here you can pay for the beautiful location. We paid €70 per night with our motorhome, for electricity and for two people. If you stay for two nights it hurts a bit, after all you're traveling in your own "house" and aren't booking a hotel room. Therefore 4*

Using public facilities is not as convenient as homes or hotels, but campers live with it and camp for other values Campers take the inconvenience and camp for other values. That's not a complaint. Outsiders come in and give fire to people staying at the campsite, but it can't be managed - take a shower, put a lot of luggage on the sink, put your feet on, etc I put our breakfast in the public refrigerator, but it was so unpleasant that all the food was gone overnight (I even wrote my name on the polybag) The time the reception was running was too limited, and there was nowhere to be helped when this happened. It's hard to predict what will happen, but shouldn't they be improved if they happen? I don't think it's well managed in that regard The five-star review is too much. Because there are so many good facilities and good management He said he didn't quite understand what I was talking about, so I wrote it again in short English. ----- As I heard, the scenery at the campsite is nothing better. The waterfall is close by, and the Schilthorn is also close to climbing. It was an incredibly happy experience to be able to view the three major mountains while camping. Just taking a walk around the area is healing itself. This is why I go camping despite the inconveniences. Stayed here for 4 nights It is also good manners to remove moisture after showering or washing dishes. However, in contrast, a refrigerator that has no sense of hygiene is really comparable. The morning of check-out The pizza, cheese and vegetables that were stored in the public refrigerator were gone. I spent again for meals. No matter where you go in the world, there are beggars with no manners. It was a small thing, but it was very unpleasant, There are many out-of-towners who go hiking and go to the train station, so it is inconvenient to use the shower or restroom. I've seen many 5-star reviews saying that the facilities are very convenient, but there are too many places with good facilities. The scenery was the best for me I'm going to the hotel

Overall it's a nice place and has a big area for camping. It's nice to have a playground inside, even if it's small, for children. The room we got was smaller than the pictures uploaded on the website. Last month, around this time, we stayed there for 5 days. Luckily, the shower was blocked twice and I had to clean it myself. I think it's bad that the stoves work with coins and we didn't know about it. We were early and since we didn't have any change with us, we couldn't have breakfast until the lobby opened. This was a sad situation for us on the first morning of the holiday. It is in a very good place in terms of its location. Loads of amenities but actual pitch was poor. Rock solid ground that wouldn't take pegs, big incline and under a bright street light that stayed on all night. Not a bad place, but I suspect the many good reviews are based a lot on the location and the beautiful nature around. Here are some things we were not super happy with: 1) Super slow / spotty wifi. Also super annoying you have to re-enter username and password many times per day. 2) The main road in the camp sight really need some signs with max speed limit. There are camp spots on both sites with small kids playing, but every day we saw cars and motorcycle drive 30-40 km/h there. 3) The playground really needs renovation 4) Showers, bathrooms, etc. are not bad, but a little old. The water in the room for washing dishes, only runs for a very few seconds, then you have to press again. Makes it super annoying to wash your dishes. We are not unhappy about our stay, but would probably not go again.

Good campsite in a special location just outside the center. Very busy when we arrived because of the marathon. (You just have to know) Luckily I was able to get a place that they apparently keep in reserve for silly campers like us. Unfortunately, the toilets are currently not designed for so many visitors. There will be some waiting time and...: cleaners will be available more often! Fortunately, there are family bathrooms with toilets to switch to. Places with grass and gravel. Swampy places unfortunately damaged. Not much is being done about that. A lot of noise during the day from helicopters flying in and out next to the campsite, which could bother you. Very friendly team at reception and helpful with questions. Unfortunately we were unable to eat in the restaurant. Ruhetag on Monday and Tuesday. Is there a food truck? Full kitchen to use at the campsite. You don't see that often. And a good camper maintenance place. View of the illuminated waterfall next to the campsite at night. The sun arrives relatively late and certainly leaves early due to the high mountain walls. That last star can only be earned by looking at yourself more carefully and paying just a little more attention to everything. A swimming pool would be unique and definitely score well.

Unfortunately the campsite was not as quiet as advertised. Helicopter flights in the valley all day - nothing against the helicopters and air rescue - but idyllic and close to nature and relaxing as described on the website is something else. In the first sanitary building near reception there were only 3 showers - I often had to stand in line and wait. Sanitary buildings are clearly too small for the size of the place. The staff were nice and helpful. I booked online and made a typo when booking. I wanted to shorten 1 day immediately upon arrival - but the receptionist asked the boss and the result was NO - very rude. Unfortunately I had to pay for the day - the place is not cheap even by Swiss standards. We still left early and paid for the day. Lauterbrunnen offers many activities and opportunities - but there is just too much going on in the corner to relax. Nothing for those looking for relaxation.

The restaurant is highly recommended, but reservations should definitely be made in advance. The shop on the camping site offers everything you need in terms of food, but little to almost nothing for camping needs. The only big minus for us were the opening hours of the shop, which were 'only' from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during our stay. Anyone who comes later or wants/needs to leave early will come away empty-handed.

We stayed in one of the mobile homes which had everything we needed pack into very modern little space. The space was immaculate, included a double bed in one room with small closet, two twins in another with small closet, a kitchen with stove, sink, refrigerator, a table for 5-6 and a bathroom with a shower. The place included all the little extra things you might not think of but need like hooks for towels, overhead storage for bags, quality kitchen equipment, curtains on all windows and doors to block the sun during the day. The site contains a ton of other things that you can read about in other reviews: great store, great restaurant, a small bar and lounge area, laundry, and a great view of the falls.

In terms of price it is already one of the most expensive, but this is certainly due to the generally higher Swiss prices and the location. Everything can be easily reached from the square. The only 2 things we didnt like were that the kitchen closes at 10pm (we don’t understand why we can’t access our food from the refrigerator if we wanted to after that), and the fact that the checkout time was at 10am even for us who only had 1 tent (not even a car). Not sure why so early since you dont need to clean or anything. However, it was very flexible and nobody would come say anything if you stayed longer. I appreciate that! Lastly, bare in mind that you have to pay 1 CHF for every 20mins using the stove, and there’s no oven.

We spent two nights at this beautiful campsite. It is busy, but that is not surprising in this beautiful place. Always enjoy the impressive rock formation and the waterfall that is illuminated at night. Sanitary facilities are good and clean, staff super friendly. If you arrive outside reception hours on the day, you will be kindly met by an employee on a bicycle who will take you to your place. You can then go to reception with a note. Reservations are useful because we have seen many campers leave again. Also possible for a single or 2 nights. From the campsite you can walk your way through the imperturbable Japanese towards the station. You can visit beautiful places by train. We went to the Jungfraujoch. Bought the tickets at reception and we received a clear explanation of how it worked, including train times. And yes …. Switzerland is simply expensive. Compared other European countries as well as this campsite and the train journeys. The quality is good and that's what matters. Definitely recommend this campsite and location.

Watch out when booking for photos of bungalows and you may be booking a room with a shared bathroom and kitchen next to reception. Well located, good service and very quiet with no car traffic around. The room is ok but could be modernized

Not the place for some peace and quiet. Good location for exploring the valley and neighbouring villages. Visited in beginning of September. Reserved pitch via internet, did a small payment ahead for doing so. Our pitch was in front of the second sanitary building, which made a lot of people pass by our pitch, we had a lot of light from the building at night, it wasn't quiet until way past 22h, at 6h you could hear the cleaners. At night you could hear the music of the sanitary building. Overall, lower rating due to our pitch location. If you are in the back of the campsite it's way less busy. However the sanitary building in the back is very much outdated and you are closed to the helicopter field. Even though the campsite wasnt full there were sometimes queues for showers or all stalls were taken, building would get dirty quite quickly. In the morning all stuff would be soaking wet (tent, clothes, chairs) due to humidity (because of the waterfalls? Or just general humidity). During the day there is a continuous flow of helicopters flying over, this is quite loud. The sun dissapears and appears later due to being in the valley, makes a difference of about 3 hours. The nature around Lauterbrunnen is amazing and we enjoyed our hike, although in general everything is quite expensive in swiss. The overall price of the campsite still surprised me, negatively, we had to pay for our car and electricity on top of tent and two adults. For two nights this was about 125 euros. Later on I wondered if you had to still pay for your car if you would park at the top of the campsite and not on your pitch, makes a difference of 20eur. And you can charge your phone while brushing teeth at the sanitary building. Charging of electric cars not allowed on pitch, you need to pay extra is you wanna use their charger at reception. Overall reception was great, staff was great but my biggest issue is really with the price and location worthiness. Glad to have ticked off Lauterbrunnen and nature areas of my wish list, probably wont come back. Would recommend maybe camping nearby Interlaken, taking the train to Lauterbrunnen. This also gives you a bigger area to explore outside of Lauterbrunnen such as Grindelwald.

Ideally located campsite and facilities in perfect condition. I chose this place because of its good reviews and I confirm it. The best thing without a doubt is the attention of the receptionists! I had a breakdown with my van and Manuela was concerned about my arrival and relocating me in the best way possible. Thank you!

Place beautiful. The campsite doesn't have any activities to offer, so you have to leave the site to experience something (by car, on foot, by train or otherwise, everything is possible). The little town of Lauterbrunnen is cute and from there you can fan out in many directions. What's really not that nice... the place is next to a helipad (for sightseeing flights), where helicopters fly over the place every 10 minutes a day, that's not such an idyllic sound. Otherwise everything is clean and the staff is friendly.

I stayed at the tent. It is an extremely noisy area, helicopters fly all day. From morning till night. It was fun at first, until it wasn't. At night, after people go to bed, big cars come, probably picking up the garbage... I don't know exactly, but they are definitely trucks. The sanitary facilities are ok, even modern, with automatic doors and all kinds of equipment (hair dryer, individual clothespins for washing in the morning, and others) but quite a few toilets (4 for women) for such a large campsite. I liked that if it's muddy after the rains, there are wooden platforms at your discretion from which you can make your access clean or even the terrace. The view of the Staubbach waterfall more than compensates for the shortcomings. Regarding the price, it's the most expensive campsite (compared to others in Switzerland) that I've stayed in since I've been going to such locations. I will definitely look for something else next time.

Great campsite with everything a camper’s heart needs. However, due to the great location and facilities, the price is a bit higher. Located on the edge of Lauterbrunnen, about a 15 minute walk to the center and directly below the Staubbach Falls. Great location to explore the region.

Camping in a spectacular environment, with many services (clothes drying room, dishwasher, children's toilets, etc.), clean toilets and very good service. The train station is a 15-minute walk from the campsite. It has a helipad right next door that operates from sunrise to sunset.

Great camp site! Very friendly staff, good sanitair great location! Our daughter loved the bouncy castle and the playground. Only minus I would say is that one expects a little bigger spot for the price-tag of this camping.

Very nice and dark at night. Perfect place to see the stars. Lights on the waterfall turn off exacy at 11 so it's possible to star gaze. Owners of the houses are not too nice as I wanted an uplclose pic, (this was durring the day) so i stood on the sidewalk of "her area" and within one second, this nasty lady came out and started yelling. Like she sits there all day watching cameras waiting for someone to trespass (no signs that say no trespassing). I can understand not wanting people on your lawn but this was a sidewalk and i had a camera in my hand pointed at the waterfall. Im sure she gets this all day but you can still be nice about it or put up a fance or chain or even just a sign in english

Nice campsite in a beautiful location with many arterial roads. Lots to do in the region! Lovely hot showers, which you can arrange yourself. Sanitary facilities were very clean and very friendly staff. Nice camping shop, of course a bit pricey, but that is the case throughout Switzerland. We stood by the water, consciously asked for it. Beautiful place, but take into account the noise that comes from this! Also a lot of noise from the helicopter next to the campsite. A bit impressive at first, but after a few days you're done with it. Please take into account the enormous crowds when you drive towards the campsite, tourism in Lauterbrunnen will unfortunately hold us back for the high season. There were also a lot of hikers walking through the campsite, which we thought was a bit less.

Located in a fairytale place with two waterfalls behind it and a mountain stream nearby, it has both pitches for tents and campers as well as other accommodations (2-person bungalows and houses for more people). A short distance from the bus stop and the train station from which to depart for various excursions.

The campsite itself is very beautiful, the first day we found lots of worms on the ground and we smelled manure. On the last day we found some people camping in our pitch. On the same day we no longer found any of our food in the refrigerator which was closed in plastic packages (I understand that these two things are not the fault of the campsite). From the bathrooms, however, there are only two and they are really small, especially the main one.

The location of the campsite is perfect for exploring the region. The shop offers fresh baked goods every day, the prices for which are typically high. Unfortunately, the place seems a bit confusing, in some areas there is no clear division. This could also be because the place was completely overcrowded when I visited and the operators wanted to use every centimeter. Unfortunately, the atmosphere suffered as a result and the sanitary facilities were not designed for the number of visitors. The price is too high for what is on offer, but that seems to be standard in Switzerland.

Not worth the money... We stayed here for 1 night and paid almost €60 for 2 people, excluding electricity. The location is beautiful, but the sanitary facilities are very poor. There are too few showers, the sanitary facilities are dirty and the hot water is cold. For this price you can really expect something better. I get the feeling; mass is cash register at this campsite.
