It's just not what it used to be... 2-3 weeks ago, about 1 hour before closing time, there were no more curries and today we had another experience like that: at 7:15 p.m. I wanted to order a mint tea with my salad, which unfortunately wasn't possible because the coffee machine had already been cleaned and was therefore switched off. I actually really like the D&D concept, it's practical, especially near the train station, but I probably won't go there anymore (also because of the pretty disproportionate prices now).

I went to the restaurant with a colleague to enjoy a dessert, which was delicious. There was a strong Javel smell coming from the kitchen, which we interpreted as a sign of cleanliness. However, a few minutes later I spotted a live cockroach on the floor walking towards the kitchen. In an attempt to be polite, I informed a staff member about this. However, her reaction was one of little surprise and she told me that the cockroaches keep coming from outside.

When it comes to sandwiches, the mozzarella is always sour and doesn't taste good anymore and they sell it anyway.

The food is very tasty and the service is friendly.

I do not eat here often as it is a bit out of the way for me, but when i get the chance i always use it. The staff is super friendly and the Manager runs a smooth operation here! The food is incredible, my favorite is the chicken teriaki bowl, and even here and now writing this review already makes my mouth water and i can't wait to go there again!

I ordered 2 salads from take away because the combination of ingredients sounded very tasty. The quality of the food and freshness was really good, but disappointing for what you get and a lot too expensive! About 80 percent was green leaf lettuce and then very little of the other ingredients... and for that I pay over CHF 20 per salad! Even though no one else was waiting, the service was extremely stressed and tended to be unfriendly and just threw the ingredients into the containers. It's just too expensive overall and what you get isn't worth the price for me!

Super delicious food! Healthy and really great! Nice employees! Gladly again! A small (wheelchair) ramp into the store would be great and necessary!

The food is good, but the prices are extremely high for the quantity (delivery may vary locally). I had the Salmon Spring salad with two extras (cucumber and egg) and paid CHF 38. The extras are barely noticeable (e.g. 2 cucumber slices).

Really invest in some customer service! Did not have a chance to try food I ordered by uber due to lack of service at restaurant

The food itself is great and so is the atmosphere, but it is far too hot in the restaurant in the afternoon. I wonder how the employees can stand it, you can tell that it's too hot for them too. This is an imposition.

Actually good food but there is no air conditioning! I almost died it was just way too hot in the restaurant...

Delicious cardamom sandwich. Well tasting ginger tea with honey. Clean everywhere. Comfortable furniture. Fast wlan. Good lighting solutions.

It's more of a small restaurant, the back area was cordoned off. The ambience is okay. Because the rear area was closed, you didn't have many options. As soon as the door opens in winter, a chill permeates the entire restaurant, making it rather uncomfortable. The food was okay and the service was friendly.

I ordered an avocado sandwich with mozzarella. I now realized that I got one with chicken. I'm a vegetarian. 8.90Fr. for that. Great.

The food was good. We wanted to choose our food in peace and quiet. But the card does not have any prices. Formerly on Hendrik Peter Str. you could easily put together your meal at your seat. You could also have half portions of almost all dishes. The food is brought to your table, which is a plus point.

Sorry. I took one salad „take away” and in hotel i see no dressing. It’s really so complicated to prepare 1 salad as it should be???

What a poorly run restaurant! Popular menu items are often unavailable making lunchtime unnecessarily stressful. Had to settle for a poorly prepared flatbread. Even McDonalds is more dependable than this place. Sad.

Dean&David served us well, both in terms of food (if that's even a word) and in terms of atmosphere. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. The restaurant is very centrally located and is easy to find.

What a juice shop! First we were relieved of 100 CHF without anything in return and the phone number was just for decoration. Nobody picks up. Never again!

Fast and friendly service and the place is clean. But the food is mediocre and tastes like a high school cafeteria. Tomatoes were tasteless and soggy, the chicken tasted like it was microwaved. The portion for the price is also significantly behind the competition.

Terrible experience with our online order. We've ordered two Big Easy Beef salads via UberEats. The beef inside was unchewable, it was like rubbery. So we immediately called the restaurant and informed them. The lady on the phone was super reckless. She just told me the manager will return back to me. I've also emailed them with the photo as I didn't like the approach on the phone. No return, no reply after almost 10 days. Definitely do not recommend.

Descubrí a Dean y David durante un viaje de negocios. Habiendo tenido suficiente de la cocina tradicional suiza en los días anteriores, la comida fresca y saludable aquí realmente me atrajo. Almorcé un curry rojo tailandés y volví a comer un plato crujiente de pollo para la cena. Quinua, arroz integral, mango, cebolla frita, ensalada, frijoles edamame, aderezo fuerte. . . Ñam! Asientos cómodos y ambiente relajado. Buena clientela internacional. Bien ubicado frente a la estación de tren. Personal amable, pero podría usar a otra persona o dos detrás del mostrador cuando está ocupado.

Das Essen passt super in den Magen nicht zu viel oder zu wenig. Es sind auch gesunde Produkte und werden frisch vor den Augen des Besuchers zubereitet. Der Geschmack ist 1+ mit Sternchen und die Geschmäcker sind gut miteinander abgestimmt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und man fühlt sich dank Ambiente und der Umgangsweise des Personals wie zuhause.

This is a very nice place I don't have much time to eat in this area. Other than miguro, there is no place to eat near the station. They also sell vegetarian food, ready-to-cook meals, and sandwiches. In particular, these crunchy beef balls are very cost-effective and delicious. I definitely recommend them. The Burger King set is 16 francs, this is 18 francs👍👍 A hearty meal👍

A vegetarian restaurant right in front of the station? It's the same place It's delicious, but I think I paid almost 30 francs for the two dishes in the picture. I'm taking off one star because prices are high in Switzerland.

One of those chain thingies... not too bad, but not really good either. And after witnessing a member of staff taking excessive minutes to make a simple two component lemonade and failing miserably (she forgot to stir and the juices were all on the bottom, water on top), I kinda lost some respect for the chain. Still much better than subway and they’ll have some lovely products. :-)

There are salads with chicken and olives every day. For dessert there is mouffin. Lots of cool drinks, including beer.

During our stay in Basel we ate at Dean and David 5 times. Great experience !! Friendly service, excellent english (our swiss german is rusty)

Estaba tan feliz de ver a un Dean y David cerca del HB en Basilea. Si no estás en McDonalds o Subway, este lugar ofrece una gran selección de ensaladas y curry, y todo está preparado fresco.Los asientos son adecuados (salí de la hora pico principal) y la comida estaba deliciosa.El personal es super amable y estaba dispuesto a hacer ajustes a su menú para satisfacer mis peticiones específicas.Necesitamos más lugares como este.

Food was great, service good, nice interior, but a bit cold to sit in in winter.

Ich habe jetzt schon ein paar mal hier gegessen und ich war jedes mal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet und ist sehr Lecker. Auch die Bedienung ist stets freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Konzept sieht Selbstbdienung vor aber mir wurde am Abend meistens das Essen und die Getränke serviert.

Too few staff for the number of guests. Declaration incorrect: Orange juice poured into green smoothy instead of oranges as listed in the green smoothy, tasted totally like sugar and orange juice and does not correspond to the origin of a green smoothy. Sorry, that doesn't work at all!

Ich wollte vor dem Beginn einer Weiterbildung gemütlich einen Kaffee trinken. Leider waren alle Zeitungen vom Vortag, das Lokal und die Toiletten schmutzig und die Angestellten sehr unfreundlich. Hinzu kam ein permanentes Pfeifen der Lüftung. Der Kaffee war gut, jedoch völlig überteuert.

Loved this salad joint during my trip to Basel this June. They use excellent leafy vegetable and the quantity was great for a full meal. The place get quite crowded from 12 noon, but wait is worth. There is enough seating places, so better to take the token and wait..will worth it :)

Unsere Salate waren der Knaller, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Für ein Selbstbedienungsrestaurant nettes Ambiente. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

There is a lot of tasty and healthy food here I highly recommend Green Chai latte or tea with honey and mint. As for food, I really like their salads and sandwiches.

If you are looking for fast food don't go there.it takes them 20min to prepare a rice bowl with rare salmon... not ideal next to a trainstation

Good & Healthy at the railway station

Good and healthy food! It's a shame that the staff in Switzerland doesn't speak Swiss German!

Während ich das Konzept von D & D mag, aber es ist einfach nicht meine Tasse Tee. Für mich schmeckt das Essen etwas langweilig und ich bin so über diesen Schüsseln. Aber das ist nur für mich. Sie bieten jedoch eine Vielzahl anderer toller Dinge, so dass Sie immer etwas finden werden, auf das Sie sich freuen können.Personal ist ok, am Centralbahnplatz findet man auch schnell einen Platz zum Sitzen wenn man vor 12 Uhr ankommt.Dies ist ein typisches Mittagessen oder zum Abendessen etwas zu greifen.

It's odd to get one of those alarm things after ordering a coffee only, but else... The quality is just fine.
