Excellent coffee. But pastries industrial - makes no sense - do a deal with the excellent pastry shop next door!

Cozy and welcoming, the bar service is perfect, it's like being at home. Exquisite coffee and cuisine. I will return with great pleasure and very welcome for dogs.

I love this warm place, the friendly welcome. The coffees are sublime, as is the variety of fruit and vegetable juices. The choice of delicacies always renewed. I happily take my friends there.

One of the best places to take a gourmet break in Geneva 😋 The pastries are great and the hot drinks too. We have a weakness for the Matcha Pumpkin Spice Lattes. + the atmosphere is cozy and warm

Had a flat white and the coffee was great. The chocolate cake was quite bland. Unfortunately they also have a no laptop policy. Since I like working in cafes this is very unfortunate

Very pleasant atmosphere, very well attended, so there is a lot to do. Espresso is highly recommended, pastries are fresh and delicious.

I really liked this coffee! It is located in the old town of Geneva, which gives it all its charm! The menu is diverse, there are plenty of choices (drinks and homemade food). However, the prices hurt the wallet. You don't have to come every day otherwise you risk leaving all your savings there. Without this detail, nothing to say, I recommend it.

Great place for a coffee in Geneva. You can sit either outsite or inside. You can also study inside it is very cozy.

More than mediocre coffee for a place like this. Far from the standards of other similar places in town. The food is the same as what you would find at Starbucks, nothing homemade. Too bad since the location is great, but everything seems to have been focused on it to the detriment of a real effort on the drinks and food. Using the term specialty Coffee is completely misleading and just a marketing tool.

Very nice café with fast and efficient service in the morning, ideal for grabbing a croissant and coffee to take away. On site, the decor is nice and the service is very good, the employees being also very friendly. I recommend this address!

Super cozy! The coffees are excellent, as well as the service (fast), most of the time I take their caramel latte macchiato. (+ don’t hesitate to have a slice of cheesecake)

Nice coffee place. Cozy and comfortable. No air conditioning, therefore avoid during the hot days, but it is okay since quite a lot of places do not have it. For coffee lovers I recommend it

Good cafeteria. The only thing I missed was that there was no air conditioning inside, and the tables on the street were too hot.

My green smoothie had a fly which I ended up chewing only to realise it wasn’t part of the drink 🫣 The drink tasted fine up until then! The waiters were kind and gave me another drink. As a cafe, it has great atmosphere which I enjoyed thoroughly.

A coffee and relaxation break at Ferdinand’s! A pleasantly cozy place in the heart of the magnificent old town of Geneva. Friendly service, excellent coffee without forgetting the accompanying vegetable milk, freshly squeezed fruit juices, original pastries that will make us regret the diet 😄 Laptops prohibited…. is this to respect the less connected atmosphere of 1989?

Small cafe with a nice atmosphere indoors with some outdoor seating. Good coffee, and great pastries. Expect to spend CHF 10-15 for coffee and a snack. Get a seat outdoors if you can!

A great location with a small but chic terrace, it is in the historic part of town with beautiful streets and quaint houses. As we ate breakfast, piano music could be heard from the par across the street. It was a lovely experience.

Extremely expensive. Double espresso (2 sips) in a bag that was too large that was not even half full, piece of vegan cake and organic lemonade more than 18 euros. Tiny terrace where you could barely move. not to be repeated

We came here yesterday in the afternoon. Lovely place to stop for a coffee and a cake. One of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice atmosphere, the servers are very smiling And kind The sandwiches and tartlets are delicious. The only problem is that I find it a bit expensive. But it's good. Salmon sandwich.

No laptops allowed? And obviously they tell you after paying. What a shame, it looks like a cosy café but they just want you to drink your coffee and leave asap. And they charge extra for non dairy milk. There are countless cafes in town that deserve more your money

Very good moccachino and banana cake. You have to be careful to choose the most freshly cut slices. Otherwise it happens that the cake is a little dry... great place for a coffee break when there aren't many people because the place is as wide as a corridor.

Great quality coffee place. A few stuff to choose from which is always great. Can be pricey but almost all of Swiss is. Nice atmosphere inside with a lot of young people chatting and enjoying each other’s company. Lovely to see no computers and just people chatting and enjoying themselves.

The carrot cake was great. My acai smoothie and my partner's cappuccino were also very good. The sandwiches were decent (salmon and veggie) It is a laptop-free zone, perhaps only for the weekends? But we saw them ask someone that took out a laptop to refrain from using it - it creates a nice atmosphere for conversation. :)

Very pleasant café in the city center of Geneva, although a little noisy when it is full. The coffee is good, the staff friendly. There needs to be more clarity on the menu to know what size of drink corresponds to what, it's confusing.

Lovely food and coffee in a relaxed and cosy setting

Nice place to get a coffee and some small foods. I had some glue wine (gluhwein). Its not very spacious but if you are three-five there is a nice cozy sofa setup in the back. The staff helped me finetune my gluhwein by adding some rum and some hazelnut syrup

Friendly, cosy cafe with good coffee and light meals. Banana bread is amazing, setting is great. This is probably my favourite cafe in Geneva. It doesn't quite have the best coffee, but it's a great place to stop after a walk through the old town. There is a good selection of drinks, including beer and fresh juice, and the atmosphere is great. It's always busy, but I always find a seat.

Overpriced for simple coffee and now laptops are no longer allowed. I bought a coffee and was planning to study on my computer like I regularly do; however, they came to me 5 mins later and told me I would have to leave.

Don't allow you to use your laptop.

Honestly don’t know the point of the coffee shop. One juice is around 9 CHF and it does not taste fresh. Most importantly, laptops are not allowed to use bc they think you are going to sit for too long.

Please don’t come here if you want to work on your laptop. Wanted to explore new options of coffee places. I guess Starbucks is the only option if you want to have both work done and have a good time. Besides staff are rude and unwelcoming. Wasted my time and money. Besides desserts are pretty mediocre despite having a good presentation. Chocolate cake tasted undercooked.

I advise against : Said to be quality coffee, but turns out to be more than disappointing, and for a price that is not seen at a discount.. A vain attempt at competition at Boréal Café.

The waiters was rude & not respectful. They charge you a lot of money for a vegetarian version of coffee even if you can‘t digest diary products. They don‘t allow any laptops, even if you use it for not work related reasons! A coffee shop should feel chill & give you the feeling of freedom, the rules of this café feels more like being in a prison!

This coffee place could be nice. Sadly, they overcharge the dairy free options regardless of health issues of their customers and inform you, once you spent too much money for coffee and cake, that you cannot be on your laptop because “other clients want to sit”… It is therefore understood that this coffee is pure “capitalism” and not a nice place to enjoy a day off.

Amazing cozy little place in the old town. Framboisier was beyond delicious, coffee is amazing and the staff are super friendly and chatty. Definitely a place I would visit every time I’m in Geneva. P.S. it is indeed quite expensive though.

Really good coffee, fresh croissants and delicious quiché

Coffee is not bad but “laptop are not allowed” (smelly barking dogs are ok). They should let you know this before you pay, seat down and start to enjoy the place. They had me to leave just because I wanted to re-read some documents before an appointment, though the place was not full. Won’t come back.

Cozy place, good coffee and good service

A huge warmth greets you when you walk in the door! They have a great selection of fresh salads (to go). They also have salmon, vegetarian or pastrami focaccia ( or sandwiches) which are delicious! But the best is the pastries from freshly baked croissants and a must must try the cinnamon roll that just melts in your mouth! If you’re looking for a quick bite, good coffee and some nice warmth this is the place to go! Also, the staff was absolutely kind and hospitable!

A lovely spot for meeting with friends, their coffee is delicious, the food is a bit expensive, but we're in the heart of Geneva... Smiling and pleasant stuff, the terrasse is better to my mind, as it's a bit dark inside. Will come back :)

Used to love this place but when they told me I couldn’t use my laptop there anymore (the café wants us to “pretend it’s 1995” but still allows smartphones…?!) I was slightly annoyed. But what really gets me is that as a student, when I asked if reading a book was still permitted, I was told that “for now yes, but step by step we’ll want people to come for a quick coffee and chat.” As far as I know, lounging in a café with a good book existed in 1995? My point is, I’m sad to have been made feeling like a nuisance in a place I used to come to regularly. What is advertised as a throwback to a low-tech, friendlier age feels more like an excuse to make more profit by making customers leave ASAP. Yay to capitalism. Well, I guess I’ll miss those cinnamon rolls and comfy sofas.

We grabbed a couple of donuts that were delicious! And the staff is very friendly and close.

Excellent coffee. The waiters are very nice and helpful. On the other hand, the manager is very unpleasant, she makes remarks about customers out loud. She yells at the waiters. For that alone I won't come back. Damage...

Good location in the heart of the old Town of Geneva. The place is nice, the coffe is good but the carrot cake we took was stale, at least a week old. The cream on the top had started to smell like it had stayed for so long closed in a fridge.

You absolutely have to try their coffee. I'm making the detour just for that
