Our goodbye Switzerland dinner and we could not have made a better choice. Our table has a wonderful view of the river and church. We ordered one serving of the traditional fondue and one serving of goat cheese fondue. DELICIOUS! The house wine was a perfect compliment.

CHEESE! Try the goat cheese fondue with fruit- it's amazing. Wonderful service too. Make sure to book in advance, we saw a lot of people turned away because they didn't have reservations.

We really enjoyed our visit to the restaurant, which met our expectations, the food was good and reasonably priced, but the highlight of the experience was the service provided by Maria Ferreira, who made us want to return to the restaurant and made it much more pleasant. A warm hug to Maria Ferreira, a friendly and attentive Portuguese woman, with certain thanks and looking forward to the next visit.

So good. Perfect location, fantastic service, delicious fondue. We were 3 persons and we were fine with 1 portion of cheese, 1 portion of Chinese fondue (our 1st time trying and not our last-so good), and 1 portion of chocolate. The service is phenomenal. I tried it because it is the most popular fondue restaurant in Lucerne, but in my opinion, it is by far the best fondue I have eaten in Switzerland. The atmosphere is very stylish, the location of the place is very pleasant, the service is very good, the employees are very attentive and friendly, I chatted with the employee with slanted eyes, whom I thought was Korean, and the Portuguese employee with blonde curly hair, they were all very friendly, it was a very enjoyable meal. I definitely recommend it, definitely try it

Not nice ambience. Service staff understands almost no German. Fondue Chinoise is not what it should be. A pity

The view was amazing, really liked that there were no cig users due to the fact that most restaurants tend to allow smoking at the tables. The food was delicious, the portions were a really big. I would recommend taking only one portion for two people if both are not really hungry. Waiter brought cola insted of beer.

I made a reservation in advance for five people to dine. I didn’t know how to order at first, but the waiter kindly introduced me and gave me suggestions. We ordered the cheese pot for three people and the oil pot for two people. Plenty of side dishes, including meat and vegetables, great The cheese pot has great flavor! There is no foot odor or alcohol smell. I personally think it is a very good experience to try the cheese pot for the first time. But because we were dining with five people, we didn’t sit down so we could see the riverside and the scenery outside the window. This part is really a pity. If you want to eat cheese pot when you go to Lucerne, this restaurant is really recommended!

Amazing cheese fondue in Lucern city. Great views, good food and friendly staff. The protugese lady who was serving us gave a very good recommendation so we had ordered the classic, truffle, herb and swiss meat cheese fondue. The food portion was considerably good sufficient for a group of four persons. We had a sumptuous meal on the 1st night in Luzerne, thanks to the impeccable service of the restaurant. Will not hesitate to come back the next time ;)

Cheese fondue, great taste, less spicy

Amazing experience from start to finish and the perfect dinner for our anniversary. We opted for the cheese, meat and chocolate fondues and did NOT expect the amount of food that it included. We quickly got full off of just the cheese and meat fondues, and the restaurant very graciously allowed us to come back the next day to have the chocolate fondue. Very reasonable price for the area for the three courses and the staff was very friendly. Definitely worth the splurge!

Fantastic experience. We were received with great affection by Maria Ferreira, a kind Portuguese woman whose attention and affection we fell in love with. The fondues she recommended were delicious, we were very satisfied.

An amazing experience. I did the 3 courses of fondue by myself, and the staff was constantly coming by to ask if I wanted more of something or if I needed anything else. They all spoke English very well and were so genuine and nice. I was worried about paying so much for one meal for myself but I’m very glad I went here and got to experience this restaurant and eat the amazing food.

The cheese fondue was unreal! However what made the experience memorable was the amazing service and waitstaff. We had to wait only 8 mins for our table and they gave us drinks on the house. Would highly recommend visiting fondue house du pont.

I've never had such a strangely rubbery cheese fondue! I suspect that the fondues are not freshly prepared in the caquelon but in another pot. It was worse than any ready-made fondue I've ever eaten. The price is a disgrace for the quality offered. The service was fine.

You can really feel the spicy cheese fondue. I truly experienced Swiss prices. Potatoes, bread, and cheese fondue for two are about 130,000 won?? The server also recommended truffle fondue and chocolate fondue, but we only ate the cheese,,,^^ (The Swiss waterside experience is a bonus, so it's great 💖 The servers were so kind that I enjoyed my first meal in Switzerland!! The response was so good that I enjoyed my meal comfortably!

We come on Saturday around 3pm without reservation and were given nice table for 4 beside the window, thanks to waiter ! Very nice fondue ! Local beer is fantastic! Great location with beautiful scenery, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere..

Food very mediocre vegetables taste microwaves meat was not ver flavorful and fondue not great in my opinion. We left most of it and for $200 CHF would have expected better.

Fondue tastes great!!! I went alone and had tomato cheese fondue. It will suit the taste of Koreans well. The service was good. I was alone so they gave recommendations and helped me a lot. Next time I come again, I will definitely try the chocolate fondue. They also gave me chocolate after the meal haha.

Th food was great, the service was terrible. Not worth it, would not go back, was quite disappointed. Scroll through the reviews, I see several people had a similar experience! I also came with elderly parents and we were treated very poorly. It was hot outside and I had to go find someone to bring us water after 30min. Took us an hour to get food. Our server had super cool blue hair, but a super terrible ego and attitude.

We were here as part of a tour group and were looking forward to a cozy evening. Unfortunately, it became quite stressful. We sat at a table for four with hardly any space for plates and warmers. Water glasses threatened to fall down or became hot, as did the side dishes that were served. The meat and side dishes were of good quality, but we had to constantly pass them back and forth over the hot stoves. Sauces were indefinable and were not explained even when asked. Cheese tasted sour. Grease in the fondue pot splashed and stained my blouse and hurt my face. I would have liked to have a drink with my meal, but there was no room for glasses. Service completely disinterested, hardly speaking German. Chocolate dessert was a laughing stock, a slice of banana, apple and March Mallows for everyone, some liquid chocolate. The store was packed, commensurate with the noise level. It's a shame about time and money. Once and definitely not again.

One of the greatest experiences of my life, having a three course meal with cheese fondue, meat and dessert. The serving is incredible, the idea of fondue, preparing your meat and then topped up with the incredible dessert with Swiss chocolate. It is more than worth a visit if you are around Luzern as it is a really amazing hidden gem here.

We decided to try it because it was recommended to us and the truth is we were happy and full. We went without a reservation and the man was kind and told us that if we waited they could serve us (I recommend making a reservation so the same thing doesn't happen to you) The service and food was good We ordered the Fondue Festival: the one with cheese, chicken, meat and chocolate, this way you try a little of everything because it includes what you see in the photo and apart from the chocolate fondue that makes for dessert 🍮 I think there was a lot of food for 2 people but this amount is mandatory because the price is 67.5CHF per person. The fondue cheese was not very strong and that makes it good because I didn't like it very much, I was able to eat it perfectly✨ The incredible dessert 😻 I will surely return for my family 🏠 Total ticket with 2 waters 135CHF

Nice atmosphere and my first time trying cheese fondue. Taste is amazing and not too strong. Remember to scrap the bottom of the pot for amazing crispy cheese at the end.

The right place to taste Swiss fondue. We were lucky that we could get a space to taste Swiss cheese fondue. We did not reserve seats but we decided to give a try to see if we can get some space there. And.. we got it. And the cheese fondue was delicious. Will come back here again if I am in town.

First time having cheese foudue, what a fun experience! The waitress very patiently explained to us how we can order, the right way of enjoy it, give her a thumb up 👍🏻 of her good service. We order beef as additional side dish to dip the cheese foudue, and I find the beef much better than traditional bread + potato, so order some meat to go with it 😄

Not suitable for vegans at all. It's on the website, but it's not offered that way. Our server couldn't explain to us exactly how the vegan option works. I paid 40 for vegetables/rice and salad. Don't recommend it. The toilet smelled bad.

Perfect place! Excellent typical Swiss food! I highly recommend getting the raclette and bourguignon fondue! The portions are large, the service is excellent. And most importantly - a beautiful view on the terrace.

Disappointment for this restaurant which seems to be seriously lacking in hygiene... (sticky menu, cook without protection for the beard or charlotte, cluttered and dilapidated room). Wine recommended by the undrinkable waitress. On the other hand, pleasant waitresses. I don't recommend.

Probably THE BEST fondue I've ever had. I have been so excited to try authentic Swiss fondue for 40 years. The minute we got to the hotel, my husband laid down and I lit out for some fondue. I was a pig and order the triple fondue meal, cheese w/bread for dipping, tender beef and chicken with hot oil, and chocolat with fruit to dip, not realizing it comes with a salad, rice, potatoes, veggies. I ate as much as I could, but wanted more it was THAT GOOD!! Service was excellent and more food than one person could eat. Husband got a bunch of leftovers when he felt better. We will be back. Highly recommend and bring your appetite.

This was my first time eating cheese fondue so I could be biased here. The cheese was soo good as was the bread and veggies. The sever was very nice and walked us through eating it correctly and the ambience was great with a view of the water. It’s expensive but is a great place if you are celebrating something.

Very bad service, stressed. They charged you for apple juice and didn't bring it. We had to ask for everything three times to get it. We don't go there anymore.

Fondue was super tasty. The Location and the view from the restaurant is very pleasant. The attendant arranged a table for us even if we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked. We are glad we could eat here. I have had fondue in the swiss multiple times. This was by far the best. I don't know whether it was authentic or not. But it wasn't smelly and tasted really goodm They have many side dishes those go well with it. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Very tasty fondue. For those who receive payments in Euros and Swiss Francs, the price is fair. For us Brazilians who have to convert the currency from the Real, it ends up being an expensive dinner (but this is true throughout Switzerland). Worth knowing.

We visited Lucerne in the Summer and this is off season for fondue, so we didn't have lots of options to pick from. We came across Fondue House Du Pont after reading some online reviews and I'm so pleased this is where we chose. We had a fabulous view from our seat on the balcony, overlooking the river and Chapel Bridge. There was lots of choice for fondue, I went with goat cheese and it was amazing! They don't skimp on potatoes or bread, we struggled to get through it and definitely wouldn't have needed to ask for more. The waitress who served us was fantastic. She was friendly, helpful and funny, and nothing was too much trouble. She made me a special Hugo spritz using rosé prosecco and it was delicious. I would highly recommend if you're looking for fondue in Lucerne. But be aware there aren't loads of outdoor tables so if you want a view you might need to book in advance.

Visited around 5:30 PM on Wednesday. There were no seats, so I made a reservation for 6:30 and went back. The staff were so friendly and cheerful. The view from the terrace seats was great, and the raclette was delicious. Lucerne Weizen beer is also delicious.

We had an amazing romantic dinner at Fondue House Du Pont in Luzern. We sat at a table on the patio overseeing the lake and walkway below. Our host Mikoel and hostess Ha along with the other staff were so helpful, friendly and charming as it was our first time experiencing fondue in Europe. We ordered the truffle fondue which came with bread and baked potatoes. We had a side of vegetables which also tasted great with the cheese, and a side of beef for more protein. We had a great dinner and learned how to properly mix the cheese to avoid it settling. Ha expertly removed the charred crisps of cheese from the bottom of the pot and it tasted like fresh cheese chips!! We did not save room for dessert but we were both very happy with the meal! It was nice they included the allergen menu for each fondue type in the back because my husband has allergies to peanuts, seafood and shellfish.

We enjoyed our dinner at Fondue House. We made a reservation which made it easy. We ordered one portion of the moite moite cheese and then one portion of Swiss chocolate. We also added in vegetables. Everything was tasty. Service was on the slower side which I feel is classic for Europe, and everyone was really nice. I’d suggest ordering one serving of cheese for two people. You do have to pay for one dish for each person though (restaurant rules) but it does allow you to finish both cheese and chocolate which I’d highly recommend

Best fondu I've ever had! Amazing service and super friendly staff.

I made a reservation and visited. The window seat seemed to be cool with the lake view, but there were mostly two-person seats, and we were seated inside, but it was really, really hot. But they brought a fan and turned it on, and were very attentive. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Since you can order fondue for one person, I just ordered different types. Oil fondue, tomato cheese fondue, raclette. The oil fondue is made by cooking beef and chicken in oil, and it was okay. I didn't ask for the cheese fondue to be alcohol-free, but it didn't smell too bad and was delicious. The raclette was delicious because it had a different cheese flavor. I ordered the portion for 3 people and I almost got full.

A bit bad without a reservation but we were served and given a table at the back entrance outside where the staff sat and smoked. A quiet corner. Was nice. Unfortunately, the service didn't come out at all, and the neighboring table also waited a long time. Until we got someone. Food came before drinks. Staff talked a lot among themselves instead of paying attention. If you offer seats at the back outside, you shouldn't forget them either. Very bad service. Food delicious. But not worth the price.

I cannot say how much I enjoyed my meal here. The service was fantastic, and the food was tasty. Fair warning: go hungry because the portion sizes are absolutely massive. I recommend making a reservation to be seated near the window as it's a great view

We visited Luzern from Spain and had fondue and raclette. They were both delicious and Maria, the waitress, who also spoke Spanish, was super nice. My friend had a bite of chilli thinking it wouldn't be so spicy and Maria offered her some milk, which was very kind and my friend sure appreciated! Would recommend :)

A normal fondue in a crowded place without air conditioning. Not worth it.

One wait staff was semi knowledgeable which somewhat helped. Other had no clue and tried to argue with guest. Bathroom was dirty. The fondue was okay, but nothing spectacular. Definitely would try somewhere else in Lucerne

THE BEST FONDUE 🫕 I have ever had. I was worried this would be a tourist trap but absolutely not...their selection of fondues are delicious and I highly recommend to those visiting Lucerne. There are so many fondue flavors to try, I want to go back and have it all again. I had fondue at other restaurants in the area and this definitely ranked the best. While the prices are similar to other restaurants in the area, Fondue Du pont specializes in fondue so has so many more unique flavours to choose from. We ordered 3 different fondue flavors (classic, truffle and goats cheese) and the raclette so tried a whole selection from their menu...the favourite by far among our group was the TRUFFLE! It's the one that finished the quickest. I also thought the accompanying bread and potatoes were great (I've had some at other restaurants that were either stale or hard). The raclette comes with fruit and pickles so worth trying both the truffle fondue and raclette for the full experience! Finally the service was amazing, our server, Maria, was so welcoming, funny and walked us through the menu highlights. She was a joy to meet.

Given the great reviews, I booked a dinner reservation here weeks in advance for one of our 3 meals while in Lucerne. We arrived and were ignored for 7 minutes. there must have been 4 employees who all walked by 2x each and didn’t even acknowledge our presence. We truly thought we came in through the back entrance so I walked up to someone further in the restaurant and she said there was only one person who can help me get checked in. That one person came a few min later and seated us. We were next to 3 other groups of 4. Then waited another 15 min where we were ignored (no water on a hot day, no one to take our drink orders etc). In fact there was zero service to that section of customers for that time. My parents are elderly and needed water (and frankly we saw this as being representative of the rest of the meal) so we left the restaurant. Was not acknowledged by anyone working at the restaurant as we walked out (not even the person who seated us). Expected a lot more from a place with such great reviews.

Big variety of fondue: - Between Burgundy fondue, Chinese fondue, raclette, cheese fondue with multiple flavors….half and half formula…you have the choice - The tomato fondue and the classic fondue were the best for me - I recommend that you take a Burgundian fondue and a Chinese fondue so that you can eat the meat and vegetables with the fondue cheese - Vegetables are unlimited in the Burgundian fondue, just like the bread in the cheese fondue. - It was very good but not great value for money - There were 8 of us and we had to take 8 fondues despite the fact that some people can't stand cheese - A very mixed service: a friendly-funny-warm waitress of Asian origin, frankly nothing to say, we love her!! I would give it a 5 star if only…… - Another young, bitter redhead waitress made us live a nightmare: 1st time I have seen such a rude waitress, refused us our vegetables normally at will, did not give us change for 10CHF - Fortunately we checked and then asked for our change, absolutely no forgiveness from her, we had to insist on the 10CHF so that she gave them back to us without a pardon and then turned her back on us

Unfortunately not as good as last time. The store was full to capacity. We had a bit of trouble getting to our place with the stroller, even though we had registered by phone. We sat in the back corner, where unfortunately it was also very hot. Food was good.

It's great that fondue (cheese and meat) and raclette are also offered in summer. The raclette spreader is suboptimal. The service was very friendly and accommodating, the prices were moderate.

I went to this reputed restaurant last month ( June,2023).I was shocked to ecounter such rude behavior from one of the lady staff members (with fair complexion) at this reputed restaurant. Instead of assisting us in understanding the menu, she treated us with disrespect and handed over our order to another staff member. When we inquired about her behavior, the male staff member also responded strangely and stated us that she was tired from handling the crowd, without even offering an apology for her conduct. After reading various reviews about her behavior, I am certain that her actions will significantly tarnish the reputation of this well reputed restaurant.
