We have known the Grond for years and we always enjoy coming back. Since it is such a popular place, it always has a lot of guests - but that is the only downside. The staff is friendly and courteous. We enjoyed a tuna Silserli that couldn't be beaten in terms of freshness and goodness. Before we drove back into the lowlands, we bought bread and plaited bread in the Grond. This leaves us with a small, delicious souvenir of a wonderful holiday in the Engadine.

Unfriendly service at the counter, very careless packing of two pieces of cake and when this was criticized, she gave her colleague an annoyed look.

A must for young and old sweet tooths. The coffee, the Engadine cake and the berry slices were super delicious. 🫶

Very disappointing lunch. Rösti probably heated in the microwave, which if I buy it at Coop and I cook it myself is much better, plus the portion was really small. While as for the desserts, they are good.

Very fine patisserie, sandwiches, cheese cakes. The best great Florentines! Before we go home, we always stock up on a few!

The prices on the scanned menu do not correspond with the billing made by the waitress which is higher! The rostis with cheese are reheated in the microwave. The place relies a lot on its advantageous location near the lake. Too bad!

For years when I'm in the area I've stopped for my lunch break and I'm always very satisfied, excellent quality and excellent service!

Warm up in the ground after hiking or cross-country skiing or in between and eat something delicious, that's always good...!

Birchermüsli for 8.60 is a yoghurt with Flöckli and the only fruity thing is an apple slice as decoration A large cappuccino 5.90 is a diluted café with milk foam that tastes like nothing 😤 really disappointed 😞

We were able to stop for a quick coffee. Although it is open in the middle of the season, outside there is only self service and coffee in cardboard cups.

We went to the café for a snack. Great cake offer. What's a little special is that cakes are self-service but drinks are served and paid for at your seat.

Engadin cake (along with the Engadin NUS cake) is a delight. We also recommend the wonderful croissants. (We were there in June 22!)

Lovely bakery - cafe - restaurant, we stopped here for a coffee and cake after hiking, the choice of various sweets and pastries was just amazing! Much wider choice than a usual confectionery and in excellent quality. If you plan to have breakfast or lunch here, they also seem to have a big menu card for warm and savory dishes. Outdoor seating available too.

Beautiful patisserie and cafe, friendly staff. However, being located in a tourist and dare I say magical place such as Sils, the prices are high and they don't consider tourism a resource, so they take advantage of it...not popular prices.

Delicious croissant 🥐 and fresh bread

A large selection of cakes, tarts and patisserie are available in attractive portions at reasonable prices. The bread also tastes very good. Unfortunately, various varieties have large holes and are therefore not very suitable for painting (morning).

Full marks for everything that you have to experience

Thirst-quenching drinks after a walk on the lakes. the desserts look inviting, I'll try them next time.

Pleasant environment, friendly and efficient staff. Good products from bread to desserts. One of the few pastry shops in the Engadine. After a walk, a stop for years that never disappoints.

Excellent bakery and cafeteria for lunch break or a quick coffee break. Pastries are home made and simply exquisite; coffee is also excellent. The staff is super friendly and kind. In summer you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine while the typical breeze of that area keeps you fresh: pure blessing.

We were just there, we asked if we could sit, and Perdonal told us we had to wait a moment here at the bar. A table became free, but it was immediately occupied by others. Shortly afterwards a table became available again, the older gentleman left and we went "yeeeeyyy". The staff came and asked us to free up the table, it was a table for 4 people... We should wait again until a smaller table became available. However, the older gentleman in front of us was allowed to occupy the table alone. NOT RECOMMENDED for people aged 20-35!!!

A café that doesn't necessarily inspire you but does what it's supposed to do well. The location of the Grond in Sils is nice and central. Functionally furnished, it offers guests a beautiful terrace. The selection of pastries and cakes is large and everyone will find something for themselves. The quality of the goods is good, but not outstanding. For example, the Engadin nut cake in Kochendörfer (Pontresina) is better. The amaretti is recommended. Conclusion: - centrally located - has a terrace - good choice - Quality is good, but still has potential

Great cakes are available. A visit is an absolute must. The fine bread is also a delight.

Of course take away at the moment, but great coffee and the best pastries in the area!! Always my first choice for a small snack or coffee and cake. Top!

A wide choice ranging from breads to cakes to regional specialties. Unfortunately when you come in the late afternoon or evening, the foods offered are no longer the freshest

I would actually have to give it a full 5 stars because everything is extremely tasty, the seating is comfortable and the service leaves nothing to be desired. What bothers me personally is the use of palm oil. Since you are so honest and show that, then the 2nd star. It's a shame - I think such a high level of confectionery should be able to do without palm oil. Maybe a challenge to the 'sweet artists' of the house. Without this flaw - unreservedly 5 stars (deserved and happy).

Staff in the bakery do not know the origin and composition of the products they sell. They also have a poor understanding of the German language. A coffee for tourists. The prices accordingly.

Always delicious. The rolls should not be missing from any breakfast table. The breakfast on site is plentiful, very good quality and the service is friendly.

Staff very nice and attentive! Nice cafe terrace. We would take a break here again. Had barley soup with wienerli which was OK. Dessert Silserkugel is nothing special, more of a dry affair, we wouldn't choose it again.
