Beautifully located terrace, attentive boss

I've had nothing but great experiences over the last few years. Very cute place with good wines. The German lady did NOT point out that the wines that are declared as "here or across the street" and are consumed in the café cost 30 (!!) francs. With lame excuses that she said that (which no one heard) and zero goodwill, it was a big disappointment! Please adjust the card and explain hospitality to the lady!

This family hotel located at an altitude of almost 2000 m is a beautiful and romantic place for the most demanding skiers. Great gastronomy, top wellness with a large pool! I recommend!!

Anyone who loves the Engadine, especially Sils Maria, should definitely get to know the Hotel Restaurant Maria. A warm, friendly, competent welcome gives us high expectations in all respects. The restaurant exudes homely warmth and a cultivated ambience. The staff is very accommodating, very polite and very competent. What comes from the kitchen to the table is simply sensational. The dishes are presented with a lot of love and the quality of the products used is simply top notch. The kitchen team does a sensationally excellent job. Bravo. See you again soon!

Es gibt viele andere bessere Möglichkeiten zum Essen am Berg. Es ist ein schöner Ort, um draußen oder drinnen ein Getränk zu trinken. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und wärmend - der Service war so. Wir teilten uns die Spareribs, aber sie waren etwas trocken. Die Ofenkartoffel war völlig ungekocht und hart und der Salat überkleidet. Der Hausrotwein war schön, würde aber nicht wiederholen.

Nice little bar. Everyone from the village comes together here. As a tourist you have the chance to come into contact with locals. Prices are cheap by Swiss standards.

Wie im Namen angegeben, ist der Speisesaal wunderschön mit Holz dekoriert. Die Gerichte sind hauptsächlich regional und von sehr guter Qualität. Perfekter und freundlicher Service.

We have known the Grond for years and we always enjoy coming back. Since it is such a popular place, it always has a lot of guests - but that is the only downside. The staff is friendly and courteous. We enjoyed a tuna Silserli that couldn't be beaten in terms of freshness and goodness. Before we drove back into the lowlands, we bought bread and plaited bread in the Grond. This leaves us with a small, delicious souvenir of a wonderful holiday in the Engadine.

An inn/hotel could hardly be more idyllic. What unfortunately doesn't match the fantastic location is the service and the price/performance ratio at the Hotel Fex. The first question is: "Do you have a reservation?" With a bit of luck you can get a table even without a reservation - of course a less nice one (I understand that). The range of food and drinks is good, but is disproportionate to the performance. In my opinion the prices are massively overpriced. The special location at the end of the Fex Valley and the unique selling point of the Hotel Fex are being exploited here, which I don't think is right. As more and more guests arrived and we were already starting to leave, I offered our table to a new guest. But I did the bill without the snotty waitress! "Don't get involved in this!!!" So something like that doesn't work at all! Please give your service staff the basics of customer friendliness. The future guests will be happy - unfortunately we are no longer one of them.

Cake and cappuccino to recommend.

Neither the pumpkin soup (13.50 CHF) nor the fruit tart (7.50 CHF) convinced us. Unfortunately, there was also a smell of oil coming from the kitchen in the self-service restaurant. You can eat there, but it's definitely not an insider tip.

Freundliche Begrüßung. Sitzplatz-Vergabe-System funktioniert nicht recht, lange Wartezeit schon bei wenig Gästen. Pommes total fettig und sehr trocken. Schade.

Very tasty lunch in a cozy atmosphere and with friendly service. Regional dishes with game, rösti, polenta.
