Kornsilo in Zürich

Great place for a late brunch. Sunday until 3pm. Loved the Egg Benedict& Shakshuka& Focchia. Daily soup ( lentils) was a bit salty. They have kids corner, kids chairs, and plenty of tables outside. It tends to get a bit noisy inside. Service was super nice. We got a free croissant with the take away coffee because they were about to close anyway.

Very pleasantly quiet in the afternoon for meetings and working. Ginger tea and chai latte taste great.

Brunch: Overpriced, small portions and very loud.

Had the crispy tofu with lentils, delicious. Great price for Zürich aswell

Favorite café - you can always find space here, the atmosphere is great and the coffee and food are great, whether for brunch, cake or whatever.

The grain silo is within walking distance of Tiefenbrunnen train station. For me it is the perfect place to enjoy a great meal over lunch. A diverse menu and fair prices await you here. The friendly and attentive service completes the experience. I can fully recommend the grain silo. Be sure to try the grain silo with crispy fish, it's world class!

I usually get my lunch as takeaway. The food is always fresh, varied and very tasty. The chef knows his craft. Service is great, I never have to wait long. Prices for Zurich are very fair. Thanks to the entire team

Coffee was good, brunch was ok with room for improvement.

Nice location (in an old factory) and a great atmosphere thanks to all the shops and the theater in the immediate vicinity. You were served quickly and friendly and felt like you were in good hands. Coffee was delicious and food was good (no wow factor but totally fine)! So if you're looking for a place for coffee or food after a walk by the lake or Chinese garden, you can try the Kornsilo!

Actually quite a nice café, especially outside. Iced latte is really good, but what doesn't work at all is when the glass of tap water at the café (it's otherwise free in every café in Seefeld without asking) is added to the bill without pointing it out.

And industrial environment with some kind of healthy food. The menu is not amazing. The place is ok. The service varies from great to poor. I like the light with all this big windows and sitting outside in summer. In the end all the “modern” touches look to me as a good way to disguise cheapness. Nothing special bout the place the than luminosity.

The ambience and service are amazing and if you're looking for a great place to work or read, this is it. A coffee and croissant are the way to go, but sadly the lunch was too salty (twice) and I left feeling that this place has all the potential in the world, which a good chef and revamped menu could really capitalise on! Wish them luck as they move forward. I want to see it thrive!

Very nice bar & restaurant located in the Muhle Tiefenbrunnen. The place is modern, stilish and spacious. I often work here (as a digital nomad 🤣) and I find it comfortable for remote working. Families with children come here for brunch on weekends, while during the week it is good for work lunch break The staff is nice and food is good. I have given 4 stars out of 5 because sometimes the place is booked for private events and I could not stay there to work, which was a bit problematic for me sometimes. Apart from this, I love this place and its ambiance.

We enjoy coming to Kornsilon every time. The service is so friendly and you are more than welcome with children! A real rarity in Zurich! Oh and I can only recommend the café!!

Went on a quiet Sunday for a coffee. Ordered a flat white, had to wait about 25 minutes for it to arrive, it seemed they forgot about the order. it was not a good coffee, and cost 7.50CHF, more than the best flat whites in Zurich. Tap water costs 1CHF. Shame because its a nice looking cafe, somewhere where there are not so many.

The coffee is great, the service is quick and very friendly. There is a star deduction for the QR menu. This may have been necessary in Corona times. Now it excludes anyone who doesn't have a smartphone handy.

Great coffee - crispy sandwiches - friendly staff. The restaurant is in a historic location! A hidden gem and a good spot for writing. Wonderfully fine lunch.

A big thank you to the Kornsilo and Blaue Ente team! We were able to celebrate our wedding in the grain silo a week ago and it was a huge success. The organization by Philipp was very pleasant and uncomplicated, despite short-term changes on our part. The local food and drinks were well received by our guests. The service staff was extremely attentive, friendly & helpful. The bartender even picked up on a guest's request and surprised the guest with it. We would like to come again.

Large, spacious and light space, good coffee and cakes. Great lunch menu and friendly, helpful staff. I can highly recommend it. Also, outside tables in a quiet space.

Very cool loft-style location. Had breakfast there for the second time and would go there again. Food was tasty and service was fine.

Bad service with indifferent attitude to customers. No even Hi or Bye. Coffee is terrible as well. Very sad.

Cooler Place, good food, chicken on salad is the best I ever had

I go here for lunch practically every day and have never been disappointed. The menu is always different, extremely tasty and even very inexpensive. There is a familiar and incredibly friendly atmosphere.

It's a nice and calm place... close to the lake, to a gym... i was there for breakfast and afterlunch, i found the time and the concentration for working a little!

Great atmosphere, beautiful space, friendly & accommodating staff, tasty food with local ingredients, very good coffee (non dairy options) and tea, good wifi. One of my favourites for coffee, remote work, weekend brunches. Great in Summer on the terrace and in Winter inside - Highly recommended!

Small, almost cheeky portions for the prices. People preferred to pay attention to the appearance of the waitresses rather than their vibe and ability to carry out tasks. Was here last time. Architecture is really beautiful. That's why the 2 stars.

Small selection, (still) long waiting times, small portions. Vegi burger for 18.50 comes without any side dishes the size of a McDonald's hamburger (yes, the one for Fr. 2.50). Maybe OK for coffee and cake, but nothing for lunch.

Great coffee in a wonderful building. If you love the brick look of London cafes, you should take a look here. Also great for visiting with kids. There are children's books on site and enough space to park strollers, Likeabikes or the like

Overpriced. I had vegetarian chicken ceasar for 18 CHf with was all lettuce with one boiled egg sprinkled over and they charged for tap water.

So far I've had lunch and coffee here (well hot chocolate) and both were lovely. Very kind staff, pretty indoor space and nice terrace, if you can bear the cigarette smokers. The food was simple but tasty, nothing refined, but very good all the same. The croissant was excellent though! I'll be back as it's handy for meeting people and killing time in the area :-)

This restaurant is simple and discreetly decorated. It is located in a historic building - looks more like a bunker from the inside. Unfortunately, the vegetarian food hasn't really been convincing so far, and there's also the very small quantity. So with one drink you pay around 25+ and you won't be full afterwards, which is a shame. Great potential, something is missing, maybe they need to try other dishes and definitely explore more.

We were thoroughly spoiled from A to Z at brunch on Saturday. Merci beaucoup!!

Service was ok, not super friendly, but ok. Food (breakfast) and drinks (coffee, juice) were very good. Prices are beyond the pale for me as a small town resident, but probably within the usual range in ZH. Special atmosphere, concrete walls, I liked it. What really brought it down for me was the music. Brutally loud and brutally bad (retro radio pop).

Too bad, location is nice and our waiter was attentive... But the food just didn't make it. I live röstis, but these were really almost burned in bad oil, and the other ingredients (tomato and cheese for Walliseller röstis) were really low grade. Especially for the price!

Unfortunately, poor service: when asked twice about the menu he replied: I think so, I don't know, without making any effort to clarify this in the kitchen. A guest tipped over a glass and the waiter left it completely to the guest to get a rag and wipe the table and floor clean. This is a clear no-go. Food okay, nothing more. The menu said stew with vegetables and bacon with potatoes. It was a stew with potatoes, bacon and a few vegetables. When I responded it said "okay", which it wasn't really. It's a shame, nice restaurant, but I'll definitely not be back. I then talk to the guest who had to clean himself: he works here in the mill and has gotten used to the low service level... Again: what a shame!

Don't go in if you're hungry, not because the food is bad but the opposite - way too tempting. Barista coffee. Light and open inside. Reasonable prices (for Zurich...)

Rustic café with sweet and salty crepes. Wähe with celery is highly recommended 👍 Breakfast until 2 p.m. Well located at the BH Tiefenbrunnen. Nice MA and moderate prices.

Really jice pkace for breakfast!! Good coffee but most important is how good are all the cakes they have. Also if you chose a muesli or any of their healthy options is really good as well. They have a big terrace and when it's sunny is nice to be outside.

Nice place for breakfast! This is a very nice and cozy place to take breakfast, in the close proximity of the Tiefenbrunnen train station. I visited this place a few times and each time I had a good experience. The interior of the place is very nice and it looks very well refurbished out of an old corn mill. The service is very good, although sometimes it can feel a little slow. The place is suitable for families with kids.

It's a great place to chill out and enjoy a weekend brunch. The breakfast menu is quite good, although more consistency on quality and service would definitely improve my rating. Overall a good experience and good value.

Such a good rösti and okay priced by Swiss standards. I keep coming back for it! And the coffees are pretty good too. Just a pity about getting charged 1chf for a glass of tap water! I've been here a few times before for breakfast and it's the first time I was told I would be charged for tap water. Not sure what that was about...

Nice industrial atmosphere. A few nice snacks. Staff was not particularly busy but still very slow to come to your table. There was a daily menu for lunch but 2 out of the 3 options were not available. Too pricey (e.g. a glass of ginger tea was 6,5 CHF)
