Stunning vegetarian and meat dishes. We were both delighted by our curried lentil dish and veal tongue. Great beers en pression and cool staff.

Very kind staff with excellent level of English, not at all easy to find in Montreux. Impeccable food quality with fabulous desserts. Although the layout did not come close to our tastes, particular credit goes to the hygienic conditions of the services, which were also scented.

A safe bet in Montreux. A varied menu for fine, flavorful and generous dishes. The team on site is friendly. I really like going there.

I ordered the dish of the day and it was big! Taste was good and the beef very tender, I just need to be more hungry to finish it all 😉

Had a good Feuilleté Poireaux et Champignons (Puff Pastry with Leeks and Mushrooms), and a very good Choucroute (Sauerkraut with sausage, ham, and pork belly), better than what Brasserie Lipp serves in either Paris or Geneva. The Choucroute is moderately priced and there’s a lot of it. Service ok but not warm.

A restaurant with a refined and varied menu that is generally well managed. Like the service. Quite nice and helpful. A few false notes here and there (missing ingredient in a dessert even though an ingredient is added and not mentioned), but quickly corrected in the kitchen. Quite generous plates in a real high-end brasserie atmosphere. With a bar and a large choice of cocktails.

Never disappointed, both the service and the quality of the dishes. Always well received and also great dishes offered for children (with syrup and dessert included in the price).

We were there for a private event and we had a small room at the top with a beautiful view and an old-fashioned decoration that really had its effect! Excellent dinner meal and perfect service!

It was good and against menu components that you rarely get. Bravo 12 Gault Millau points hmmmm for my dining experience and hoteliers rather questionable. But OK.

Disappointed with the service and quality of the dishes. We had barely ordered aperitifs when our glasses of wine were taken away. When we ask the origin of the hunt we are told “certainly from Switzerland”. We then have to ask the waitress to find out, and finally tell us that the meat comes from New Zealand. We took mussels, a third of which were closed and some broken, so we ate with pieces of shell. The waiter said to us “oh damn, you’re not the first to say that”. Once the table was cleared, the cook offered to give us some more mussels; we preferred to eat the bread and butter (which arrived at the same time as the dishes). We asked that the waiter go see the manager to express our dissatisfaction, which seemed to bother him a lot. For dessert, we received a wrong order which we accepted anyway but unfortunately the crème brûlée was cold. At this moment, the manager who clears us offers to offer us coffee combined with the crème brûlée. In short, a shame because the manager seems to be the only one to serve with a smile and professionalism. The quality/price ratio was not there that evening.

Good restaurant. Classic decor and good dishes and snacks. The Cesar salad is delicious. Service in the internal area is quick, but in the external area it takes a long time. After 9pm, dinner only inside.

Random stop for dinner, very pleasant surprise. Great meal in a quiet setting. Partner had the mussels and enjoyed a generous serving. I enjoyed local fish dish.

3 of us ate the very small beef fillet with too little sauce fried too salty and the worst is Viennese schnitzel what is your goal to send a fried cigarette leaf? 😅I am a chef and here is my note personally I do not send this in my restaurant there is no flavor!

The welcome and service were very friendly. The dishes are generally good, but.... The fillet of beef, meat requested rare, arrived at the right point (overcooked), the shallot sauce too reduced, pasta too salty, puff pastry mushroom starter, lack of salt (for my taste, but we can always add that) as for the gratin, although made for the day, inedible, as if it had gone bad (supposedly because of the cheese mixture used) and although reported (nothing eaten), no action The setting is modern, it's nice

In Montreux, you will find a brasserie "La Brasserie J5" in the city center. It is rare to find well-made brasserie dishes at affordable prices. In addition, in summer you can enjoy a very nice little terrace. In the evening we tasted the foie gras as a starter which was excellent and a fish steak with vegetables. The fish was fresh and very well cooked. We finished with a chocolate dessert. The service was attentive. The wine list will introduce you to certain wines like “Olivers Pino Grigio” with sumptuous floral notes. A brewery to discover if you stop in Montreux.

Amazing food, service and ambience. Overall great experience with amazing food. Our server was very efficient and made sure we are comfortable and all our requests were fulfilled. Cocktails were amazing too. High recommended to try out if you are in Montreux. Chris restaurant manager was superb, friendly and accommodating.

The place is very good, whoever stays at the attached hotel gets a drink. Beers, wines, drinks, varied menu. Expensive like everything in Montreux, but nice atmosphere, very friendly service, tasty food. Extensive opening hours. In front of the Montreaux Casino. We ate there twice and really enjoyed it. Burgers with all-you-can-eat fries, dishes with various meats, pasta.

We liked the restaurant, a young team that still needs to come together a bit, but we enjoyed the food and my God, I'm on vacation, I also have time... if everything doesn't turn out 100% perfect straight away. We waited a little long for our dinner and were immediately offered two glasses of wine and even coffee. The waitresses are all very friendly. Keep it up!!!

Very friendly service and super fine food

Nice location, steak is a tough if it were juicier the restaurant would be a 5 star, fries is also not great, potatoe greton is great, also wished the menu included if a dish had win/or alchohol in it. A good restaurant. The steak is dry and the fries are ordinary. Make sure there is no alcohol in some of the meals, as the employees are not aware of this point for Muslims.

We had lunch today. As I am celiac we ordered gluten free bread and beer. Traditional swiss food and veggetarian as well. Food was amazing!! We were hosted by Sergei very good service , fast, and incredibly caring for all our needs. Very good quality price ratio. All other servers very helpfull and nice too.

food poisoning, like several other reviews earlier. however, that is not why I write this post. food poisoning can happen anywhere at any time and can be forgiven. what can not be forgiven is empty restaurant, weekday, 230 pm in the off season, with four servers never once looking up to scan the room and provide service if needed. after food arrived, we never saw a server again. finally walked up to the bar to pay.

Beautiful place with a smiling and friendly welcome. The meat was well prepared and the fries excellent. The small downside...music too loud. Thank you for this pleasant moment and see you soon.

Yesterday, we arrived in Montreux from Amsterdam on the first day of 2023. I took my wife, mother-in law and sister-law to what I was hoping to be a wonderful dinner. Unfortunately, I was wrong... Once seated, we ordered a bottle of wine, Rautilus, which was very nice. The waiter took over an hour to come take our order. We finished our bottle of wine before we placed our appetizers and entrees. Needless to say unacceptable, especially since the occupancy was 50%. Regardless, I'm with my wife and in-laws having a nice time so no big deal. Our waitress once she finally came over was pleasant. We ordered around $600 dollars of food for us to share. Three hours later and as I continue to write we're wrapped around toliettes with FOOD POISIONING. Not the way we wanted to start 2023. La Brasserie, we're extremely disappointed in your food quality, lack of attention for customers. I hope the health inspector takes a look at this review so others don't have this miserable experience. A refund would be more appropriate.

Very tasty food. Had a veal schnitzel and entrecôte once. The dessert (crème brûlée and cheesecake + 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream) was also excellently prepared!

Great brasserie in Montreux with generous portions. Went there wuth my hubby. I had the butternut cappuccino to start with, the milanese veal ( which was huge! It is a battered and pan fried, served with salad and fries) as a main and baba au rhum for dessert. We also had a bottle or local pinot noir. The bill was chf90 per person - which is expensive but it is the average price in Montreux.

Super delicious food and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Montreaux.

Should definitely try the Autumn Menu. Venison medallions was one of the best foods I've ever had.

Spot on medium rare Swiss entrecôte, Sea bass also cooked perfectly, finished 2 baskets of bread with the sauce, amazing service and we really enjoyed the time, highly recommend!

One of my favourite brasseries in Montreux. Nice choice of dishes and wine. Great steak with fries! Service is kind and professional. Good choice for everyone, friends, families or couples. The restaurant is located in the ground floor of a hotel with a separate entrance. 👌🏻

The staff is very friendly and the food is also very good.

Wonderful experience this evening. We had the Swiss entrecote and the linguine and both were phenomenal! Never had anything like them. My drink was also amazing! Highly recommend, this will go down as one of our favorite dinners overseas!

Worst waiters ever, disrespectful and uncomfortable to deal with. I hear them constantly make fun of customers in German, and French. Our first visit we tipped them well, despite the bad service we had. The Next visit, one waiter says to another "stupid rich people" thinking we don't understand. His friend started acting stupid and overcharged our bill when we got mad. Save your money, there are a lot of much better places and less expensive in Montreux than this 3-stars restaurant

Amazing service, creative and well executed dishes in a nice location. Great value for money as well, 180 CFH for 2 person dinner with a bottle of wine. Only minus was that the table on the terrace was a bit small and not standing flat. Best restaurant in Montreux nevertheless in my experience.

Came here with friends and had a lovely meal. The veg curry is very nice and the escargot is super buttery and garlicky, just what you want. Our server was super nice and spoke English to us. It appears that many of the servers speak English.

We ate well, however at the end we had to wait more than 30 minutes for the dessert menu and finally we asked for the bill without having dessert or coffee. In addition to that, you have to take into account that the restaurant was half empty and that a good number of the servers were doing nothing. I was disappointed.

Had a lovely dinner for 2 here, booked in advance to avoid being disappointed during peak hours but turned out to be unnecessary it was relatively quiet. As a starter I enjoyed the tuna tartare with avocado and wasabi cream the combination was just right and tasted great. Main course we ordered: Dish 1- Special of the day which was beef chunks in a mustard sauce with veggies and butter pappardelle pasta. What a burst of flavor from such a basic looking dish, with every the taste was divine. Highly recommend! Dish 2 Sea bass with asparagus, saffron sauce, potatoes and fennel. I was disappointed at the fact that this dish was previously served with mussels according to customers photos. Even though the dish was altered I still decided to give it a try. Boy was I speechless, the dish was beautifully plated and served hot. The saffron sauce was deliciously prepared nothing I’ve ever had before, just heavenly to taste. The fish was cooked to perfection and the sides accompanied the dish well. Highly recommend to seafood lovers! Dessert: Strawberry Tree (recommend to share between 2 persons) 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream Friendly and attentive service along with a large variety of drinks. A must visit if you are in Montreux and prices are reasonable P.s local white wine called Aigle les Murailles is worth a try.

Impeccable service: kindness, humor, dynamism, professionalism...they are adorable! And the food is delicious. Certainly, the terrace is not at the edge of the lake, but the quality of the cuisine and the kindness of the wait staff more than make up for it!
