Chef Decottered came to our table to talk with us. It was very nice of him to do that.

Meals at the bistro: very beautiful view, notable designer and furniture, good parking, pleasant and professional welcome, spacious tables sufficiently far apart. Impeccable service from the chef, but the food... bland: (heart of lettuce and salmon croquettes, tasteless, accompanied by a tasteless sauce, without originality... for the dishes: the overcooked spare ribs, tasteless vegetables,... the fries were good! And the Vaudoise sausage: the proportions were adequate, and the leek gratin excellent, but the sausage poorly cooked. Although the choice of wine by the glass was very limited, we were fine recommended, but for this first try it is clear that we paid for the location, but going to the restaurant we would have liked a kitchen to match. We were not convinced and we are glad we were careful for not having started with the gastronomic. We will not go and return to the bistro.

Very very little to eat! Very friendly service. The flavors of the dishes were very good, however the quantities are really a mockery, especially the main course. Being used to the quantities of gourmet restaurants, this is the first time that we have said to ourselves that we are mainly paying for the view and the staff. Too bad we didn't think to take a photo of the main dish (beef). In short, we won't come back...

Was the chef on holiday? Had lunch at the bistro. Expected a far bit more to be honest. A nice drive up the hills, beautiful views. Friendly reception. Table with views of the town and lake below. The starters were great, beautiful hand cut steak tartare and pate en croute. But the mains were very disappointing and below stander for a place like this. “Fish and Chips” if you fry fish with a batter crust, make sure it’s crispy! Same for the fries, they were soggy and completely soaked with fat. Turn the fryer up! Fry at higher temperature? And don’t leave it on the pass to long….. The home made pork sausage was way too dry, needed more of the fatty meat and needed more flavouring too. The baked potato and veggies tasted as if they were reheated in the microwave! So we were very disappointed by the mains and side dishes. Basically ruining what was supposed to have been a beautiful experience…..

We ate at the bistro one day in July at noon. Lovely table by the window with amazing view. A good glass of champagne...that augured good times ahead. Unfortunately that more or less stopped there. The waitress was extremely unfriendly. Not a word of welcome, not a friendly word, not the hint of a smile, a face of stone. We didn't worry too much at first, we were well settled and we were looking forward to our meal. The dishes were good but nothing more, nothing very inventive apart from the lettuce heart which was beautifully presented and was delicious. Disappointment with the can and tian of summer vegetables. The meat and its sauce were good but the tian vegetables were not cooked at all; and raw eggplants are absolutely inedible. I pointed this out to our waitress when she came to clear it. She whispered that she would mention it in the kitchen but didn't apologize. After dessert and coffee and waited a long time for the bill. By checking the bill I expected at least that coffee or dessert would be deducted as compensation for the tian. But no nothing, and still no excuses. Then she made an error against us on the amount charged to our credit card. We point this out to him and ask him to correct it. She looks at us in bewilderment, turns her back and leaves without saying anything. Finally a gentleman comes to us apologizing and saying that he will give us the refund and redo the transaction. At least there is someone professional in this restaurant. We left extremely disappointed, vowing to never set foot there again.

This restaurant was the top Michelin restaurants which I have been. The view, ambiance, taste of dishes, level of service was very high. We ordered Boeuf Sarrasin, Les Haricots, Chariot fromages etc. Everything we tasted was perfect but my fav was Ribs Wagyu beef. I strongly recommend to visit this place👍

We had the tasting menu and were pleasantly surprised by the Chef's research. Unfortunately we chose the wine pairing with the menu at 115 CHF p.p. and spent a meal finishing glass bottoms. We later realized that it is marked on the menu that the 7 glasses of wine are served in ounces (? We don't use this measurement in Europe). Please note that 1 ounce is less than 30 ml. This means that you will drink the equivalent of two glasses of wine (210ml) for more than 115 euros. At this price you can take 2 bottles a la carte and thus avoid just wetting your lips throughout the meal... The wines entirely offered are Swiss and respectable but not up to the standard of the cuisine offered... Too bad.

It was my first Michelin-starred restaurant. Expectations were high. The food did not disappoint. Neither does the environment. Neither is the service there. But, as we are talking about an entire experience, I find it unforgivable that I got there after climbing a staircase of 1055 steps, wearing a long dress. *****The restaurant should warn you that it is not accessible on foot!***** It was 400 meters from my hotel and so I thought it was easy to walk. But they were on stairs!! Absurd and really ruined the charm of the night. I was literally afraid to spend the night alone in the forest. My legs couldn't go up (or down) anymore. The view, after climbing so much, is wonderful.

My opinion concerns Bistro Décotterd. The view is incredible, the room rather pleasant, the service attentive, but I was frankly disappointed by the cuisine and the quality/price ratio. No appetizer (only butter) or small sweets offered at the end of the meal. Boards to share without refinement and it's almost a shame to start the meal with cheese and bread. I opted for the perch fish & chips which was not great (bland and fatty fish, lettuce hearts with a horrible white sauce and the same seeds as for the vegetables in the starter), but the matchstick potatoes were delicious. With the support of Chef Décotterd, I expected much more finesse and refinement in the tastes and in the execution of the dishes from starter to dessert.

The service was excellent and so the location and space. However, some of the dishes were a bit disappointing and the waiting time was excessive often between dishes.

The whole family came for dinner. Nice bright interior. Excellent view of the lake and its surroundings. Polite and attentive staff. Delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. We chose the test menu and had great gastronomic pleasure.

The view of the lake is incredible and worth the trip alone. Well-executed cuisine: delicious chestnut cream ravioli. Very fine truffle cards: the card is julienned, and we would almost like a few larger pieces for more rusticity. Good meats, perhaps not very original (low temperature and slow cooking style). The sauces, in particular, are very successful. wine list quite short, but with good references. The 2018 Berceau Gerbet Fixin was particularly delicious.

The service at the lounge bar is absolutely terrible. We waited an hour for our first drinks, 30 minutes for one dessert, 40 minutes for some bread that did not even come with butter even after we asked for it. After waiting a further 30 minutes to order a second drink, we were told that the bar had closed, after we were ignored for the whole time by the service team. For a restaurant/bar that claims to be 5 stars I am appalled by the level of service that they are giving. They either need more staff or better staff.

The first time I went with my parents and they were very polite and the service was good. When I went there with my friends the server gave a very lazy like attitude and little to no show of interest. I expected more from a restaurant in a hospitality school. They should know better than to differentiate between costumers even if it was a student or someone younger.

An exceptional view all over the Montreux Riviera, a stunning restaurant which after its renovation has gained on charming and intimate spaces. The service which is mostly by the students of the Hotel School of Glion. All are very well trained and working with enthusiasm so as a big smile, even behind these annoying masks. The food is fantastic, art on the plate as you can see on the images. Local and seasonal food, with a wonderful wine and champagne selection. The Comtes worked very well with the menu.
