Beautiful lake view terrace, the spot is really nice. Once installed, they bring you various breads, olive oil and salt as well as a tomato-based sauce to help you wait. We then had the burrata with tomato and a beef tagliatta. The quantities are a little small but it was good. In the end the bill is steep for the quantity served.

The waiting time is very long, even for desserts. The toilet pictograms are clearly in poor taste, even vulgar, and what can we say about the dessert... A frozen lemon soufflé which is not soufflé-like but very compact and above all much too sweet. The waiters aren't particularly friendly either... An army of servers but no service commensurate with the establishment and the price. Yes they are nice but too junior... The wine was self-service, the aperitifs and appetizers were not cleared and the dishes followed the starter too closely, yes we took our time but we didn't have a train to catch, for such an establishment it's a real shame . The cuisine: the quality has really dropped, the artichoke salad lacks pep, for the asparagus and morel pasta we were looking for them and the osso bucco is dry, too dry! And the departure in practically incognito mode! No one to give us back our jackets and say goodbye. In short, the value for money is unfortunately no longer there. In short, 400.- for 3 people, main course starters + wine...it hurts a little.

Our hotel reception recommended this place to us and since we love pasta and wanted to stay close to the hotel, it was a good option. At the beginning, nice welcome, the staff is attentive and attentive, good wine recommendation, and the entrance is very correct. They also bring different kinds of bread, foccacia etc... and so far it has been good. Then a long wait between the starter and the dishes... finally when the dishes arrived at the table, it turned out that they were much too salty and we had to repack them! Fortunately the server was responsive and immediately offered to change them. Finally, out of 4 dishes, 3 were too salty and the 4th, the squid was super rubbery... in short, nothing to be happy about... but that's not all, we ordered pasta with langoustines and there was some. only one on the plate! At 60 euros per dish, I think it's a scam. The portions are small, except Italian gastronomy is rather known for its gluttony and generosity!! We got 400 bucks worth of it and we would have had to spend 700 bucks to leave the table with a full stomach and yet it wasn't even delicious. Having traveled all over the world, being part of a family with hotels and restaurants myself, you should not take people for idiots! You can eat in a starred restaurant at that price, but at least it was excellent... not to be done again!

Well it was the same for us. We love pasta, we have traveled to the four corners of the world, but here, they have a big problem with salt!!! The dining room team was very receptive and responsive but the kitchen had major problems with salt. Too salty pasta and a quantity that looks more like a diet “as I like” than an Italian table which means greedy, generous and delicious!!! Paying is not a problem, but when you have pasta that has to come back exaggerating to €5/plate being large and you pay €58 per dish. And I understand that electricity is expensive, that staff is hard to find, etc.... you understand that there is a problem!!! That said, I hope they will make an effort to change strategy or leader. I don't like to complain, but tonight I feel like I was a turkey!!!

Disappointment unfortunately. Professional welcome but a little overwhelmed. The main problem is not the welcome but the food (we still come to eat well). My poor children's pastas were really way too salty. And the accompaniment of this overcooked (!) and much too salty pasta was symbolic (see photos). The beef Tagliata (Chf. 58.-) was not bad; but small quantity (I'm not a big eater) and rather tough. More than discreet vegetable accompaniment. Without wanting to be unnecessarily hurtful, we need to review a lot of things in the kitchen… But the tourists and other birthday tables seemed happy… I promised myself that I would only publish positive reviews, but now, really, it’s too much…

Pleasant location (almost) on the lake. There is a street in front, but it is closed on weekends. Beautiful atmosphere and direct view of the mountains. Friendly, but slightly indifferent service. Even at CHF 150 per bottle of wine, you have to refill your own wine. The dishes are average to good. The tuna tartare, buried under a pile of unseasoned salad, contains more (canned) capers and hazelnuts than tuna. The spaghetti al nero is tasty, unfortunately overcooked. For an Italian restaurant, quite unforgivable. My companion has better luck with his Panzanella and Tagliata which suit him. Allow min. 30min between dishes, which seems very long to us. In the end, it is the beautiful atmosphere by the lake that wins the 4th star, but the quality/price ratio of the restaurant itself is average.

Huge disappointment both in terms of service and cuisine. Makes you wonder if this isn't an establishment that only targets tourism and those who don't know how to eat. In order to be as transparent as possible, here are my observations regarding what went wrong. As a regular of Italian cuisine but also with more than ten years of experience in the sector, I think I'm being quite honest in telling you that I have never been so disappointed by an Italian restaurant. - we were addressed in English, French and Italian, although we did not speak a language other than French during the entire meal. - The waitress took away our bread plates from us while we were still eating, the latter, after having done so and seeing that we were eating, asked us if we had finished, obviously not. The food wasn't ready so she could clearly have waited a bit. - No more sardines on the menu as starters, well, that's the limit. But it was the only entry that changed a little from the rest and in principle we announce this before the customer takes the order, it avoids finding ourselves in this situation. - Bad luck, we order the only bottle of wine that they apparently no longer have. Well, this is purely bad luck. But that doesn't help with a good first impression. Kitchen side - Linguine with vongoles, which they bring to us announcing "spaghetti with vongoles", it's already off to a good start, even if it sometimes gets confusing. In terms of form it looks good, the quantity seems correct and the appearance is quite good. However the pasta, although correctly cooked, has absolutely no taste, it is bland and without any seasoning, although yes there was some taste given that we only felt the taste of the olive oil. olive. It was basically pasta with olive oil, salty vongoles (too much) but no taste in the pasta, neither vongoles nor salt, we only had oil. No garlic, almost non-existent parsley, in general this dish is a little spicy with chili but nothing this time. It was really very, very bland. Unanimously. -Chittara spaghetti. Already the quantity is ridiculous compared to the dish above, it was at least half in quantity if not even less, which I find astonishing knowing that it is almost a pasta dish THE More expensive on the menu (45.-), at this price for pasta you still expect something very good. I even had to ask if it was the “flat” size, something which I still doubt at the moment even if we paid 45.- for. The squid ink pasta is pretty, said homemade, well made and well cooked but without taste there is only color. sauce wise it was a disaster, we can't call it a "shellfish" sauce, it had NO taste, bland once again and no shellfish taste, really nothing. The almost cold plate causing the “sauce” to gel and the pasta to cool in 5 minutes does not contribute to a good experience. Next to it is a gamberoni “tartare” which in no way justifies the price of the dish. There must have been between 30 and 50 grams, an unseasoned tartare, with nothing in it, just cut up gamberoni and perhaps a little oiled. A few points of an uninteresting sauce either with the dish. - Arriving at the end of the meal, the waitress asks us how it went. In a nice way I said to him “like If like that”, the latter retorts “ah for the sardines and the wine it’s not our fault”, well in fact, yes, it’s definitely theirs for once 🤣. A truly pathetic attempt at justification. - the bill arrives, the bottle of wine was counted. Surely a mistake can happen even if a double check doesn't do any harm, or we had too many pigeon faces. No commercial gesture either for all the inconveniences. I will never return there.

Got a reservation here through our hotel Beau Rivage Palace. We're so happy. The view of the mountains and lake against the sunset were top notch. The food was excellent. The bread starter, the palate cleanser, and the burratta dish were phenomenal. This might've been the best burratta I've had - it was so milky and juicy and soft. The gnocchi pasta was sooooo good. They were pan seared and so they were crunchy but still on the inside were super duper soft and doughy. Maybe this is the best gnocchi I've had too (my favorite variation). The lamb chops were cooked nicely too. Finally, the tiramisu dish was excellent. Thank you!

Great view of the lake from the terasse and the front line tables in the restaurant. The food is a mixed review with some strong and weaker dishes. The flavors of Italian cuisine look succulent when reading the menu. Indeed, the taste buds are delighted. Sold by Gault & Millau as the best Italian restaurant in Lausanne. Unfortunately, it is not the case. Over the last 7 years, I have tried my luck there 3 times, with each new chef arriving from the peninsula. But let's stick with the impression of my last visit, 3 weeks ago. The welcome and the service are correct (smile of complacency), it could gain in authenticity. The foccacia and olive oil, brought upon arrival, are always just as good. For the meal, I had a Milanese osso bucco with a mixed salad on the side. The mixed salad was very fresh and of good quality, but lacked seasoning. Unfortunately, the dish turned out to be far too dry, without flavor and no generosity. After 3 unsuccessful attempts for this Michelin-starred restaurant (1), I will only return there when the Lausanne public approves it after an authentic change.

If you want to be received like trash, I recommend this place. If not, Le Château d’Ouchy is not far away and the welcome is much warmer!

First time inside, usually we sat outside in the summer. The food is really good! Service was poor. Astonishing. Taking used glass a off the table? My coke glass from the aperitif stayed until we left 2 hours later, so did many other stuff. A couple sitting next to us spilled their wine glass. They moped the floor and their table themselves for minutes, no one ever came. We gave them serviettes from neighboring tables. When we asked if we could have some more French fries, the waiter told us that NO because kitchen was closing soon. I asked when and he answered in 30 minutes… I guess they had to grow the potatoes for the fries first? Ridiculous. Last time we’re coming, unfortunately. A truly great restaurant in its decline.

According to a recent article in Gault et Millau, he is the best Italian in Lausanne since the arrival of a new chef in January.... what a disappointment!! A very common antipasto misto, unsurprisingly. A frito misto "del mafioso": 40g of Julienne vegetables barely coated in a batter without seasoning for 28.-! It's making fun of the customer, a real scam...and to finish, linguine alle vongole is perfectly cooked, but too salty, too much garlic and floury. In short, usually, we follow the recommendations of Gault et Millau....but this time, it was a mistake.

Was expecting a good dinner but left with slight disappointment because the restaurant didn’t meet my expectation. I was expecting good food & good service at this price, from a prestigious hotel chain. Among multiple appetizers explicitly mentioned that were to be shared, the burrata didn’t come with serving spoon/fork, so it was messy when ~8 people used their own utensils in the same bowl. My gambas risotto came with lots of sour cream on top of the rice, which was weird to my taste, plus the stiff prawns (I wondered whether they were frozen prawns). Vegan panna cotta was not of my taste - it might be just me. I also had to ask for drinks menu after I sat down + a waiter came to ask what I’d like to order for drink. Not a big deal at all, but wasn’t expecting this at such restaurant.

We enjoyed our dinner at L‘Accademia. At the same time, I think there are an opportunity to bring it to the next level. What is great: Awesome presentation of dishes (see pictures), fast and professional service, rich and creative dishes. What could be improved: The taste of the dishes was sometimes a bit flat, too little spices - would be great if this could match with the presentation of the dishes!

Great service and plating, very good dishes, apart from the linguine alle vongole which was too heavy, probably better w spaghetti. The place has a great view of the lake. However the serenity and great ambience are destroyed by the street traffic just in front of it. Good Italian in general, not sure I would recommend for a return trip. The loud passing traffic really irritated me.
