What a disappointment for an ice cream lover: for the two ice creams tasted: "fiori di latte and salted butter caramel". I didn't find the taste of these two flavors but only sweet. The producer should go and taste the competition. Damage.

Was positively impressed with the quality of this gelateria, lady behind the counter was professional and kind enough to speak English to my husband who doesn’t speak french ❤️

The cake we bought wasn't too good. We also had to pay 10 chf for an inconvenient box to return because the shop in Grancy was always closed for one reason or another, and the shop in Flon cannot take the box for some mysterious reason.

It’s really worth trying. The Yuzu flavor is very refreshing and the other flavors are also delicious.

Top ice cream... large choice of flavors and special mention for the black sesame ice cream

For me the best ice cream in Lausanne. The value for money is excellent (6 CHF for 3 flavors). Moreover, if you are hesitant you can even ask for a taste. Their speculoos ice cream is just amazing and they have many relatively “unique” flavors. The only downside is that the pistachio ice cream, although good, is not at the level I expected even though it is one of my favorite flavors but it is the tastes and the colors and I largely find my account with other perfumes ;)

Great spot for ice cream near the main train station at Lausanne. The queue can be long sometimes but it's definitely worth the wait.

It's always worth waiting in line! The ice creams are very good and have flavors that are difficult to find in other ice cream parlors. They also have many sorbet flavors (they're dairy-free so they're ideal for those with intolerances!)

Waited ten minutes alone in the store and no one was there or came out...after 10 min i started to walk towards the back to see if anyone was there and if there was something wrong and i see the employee sitting behine the door on her phone and she doesnt even hear me. I didnt dare bother her but it is unprofessional to expect customers to waste time for someone not even dling their jobs....so i left. Edited to add- judging by your nasty response with info i didnt give you- i ws there at about 12in the afternoon the door was OPEN and as i said the employee was on their phone hidden behind the door. Nice customer service, you should take that attitude with an employee not doing their job and not a (former) customer who came in wanting and WAITING to by an ice cream for their kid and noticing your employee wasnt doing their job. Seeing how you speak to customers, however, i will make it a point not to return (far better gelato out there without a nasty rude response from a business owner who doesnt respect their customer) and i will let the other parents around the neighborhood know exactly how you treat your customers. Too bad you cant jusr be respectful and say- damn, sometimes people mess up or have to get in touch in an emergency on the job and we apologize. Instead of insulting customers and making up stories to cover your inadequecy. You have two jobs- serve gelato and make customers happy. Failed on both.

By far not worth the GEA one at the top of rue de Bourg! Took 3 flavors for 6.- Hibiscus, cherry, salted pistachio EDIT: no, I choose quality (taste) over quantity 😉

Not bad, but generally overrated. Edit: Okay, let me elaborate. I came with very high expectations, as I had heard really good things. While the gelato is decent and tastes good, it didn't blow my mind, thus the 4 stars. Perhaps I had set myself up for disappointment. I am not a food critic, don't take it personally, it's just my opinion ;-)

The ice creams are exceptional! I didn't find a match in Lausanne that held up. Original perfumes, very successful, not too sweet. 4 stars and not 5 for 2 reasons: - disposable plastic spoons for pots, too much plastic waste. - extremely long service while there is a queue outside.

The ice cream here is good, no question, and not that expensive if we are to compare it with the other similar options around or by the lake. However, the stubbornness of not using air conditioning is not only making no difference to the energy bill, since the ice cream is cooled with ambient temperature, but if this ambient temperature is about 40C inside the premises it would make the freezers work much harder cancelling any energy saving from not using an AC. Furthermore, you'll have soaked in sweat customers and nearly fainted staff. How does that make any sense Loom 1900 ? What's the point of treating your staff and customers like that ? A ventilation system to bring out the hot air from compressors out directly would be the bare minimum, plus it would prolong the life of your logistics and your staff, you know. I know AC legislation is tough, but solutions do exist.

The ice creams are magnificent! The service is too, too, too slow! Today, May 2, 2023 I waited approx. 5 min and I saw that for 5 min. that! two customers were served, so two cones! I would say it's more than too slow. I left without waiting 40 minutes. stand in line. Damage !

An insider tip for really good and high-quality gelato in Lausanne! A large and regularly changing selection of classic and unusual varieties including vegan options. I was able to test the Eau de la Rose, Yuzu, Fruit de la Passion, Coconut and Basil varieties and I'm thrilled! Really aromatic and light ice cream, generous portions and pure enjoyment. My favorites: yuzu and basil. Eau de la Rose was a bit too subtle in taste and was a bit lost in comparison to the other varieties. I would love to come back next time I visit Lausanne 😋.

THE place for ice cream, I usually go for Pistachio, Black sesame or Speculoos. Be warned, the lines are long, but you won’t be disappointed. They offer take away as well.

Frankly disappointed, the salted butter caramel ice cream is really of mediocre quality, no music, no flavor, just a uniform light-colored sweet ball, no piece of caramel or small grain of salt that crunches under the tooth, which would have been the minimum, right? My friend took mango, and upon tasting its scent, I immediately smelled the sweeteners and their bitterness, also the taste of mango was frankly not pronounced, no physical trace of the fruit? I see the incredibly positive reviews, my word have you never been to Italy to eat real ice cream? I pass.

For your information, I was the penultimate customer of the day, I came for 1 liter of ice cream and I offered to TWINT to the staff, easy, fast and honest! But nothing! Very very disappointed, we don't care about the customers. In response to your answer! (Unfortunately we cannot comment on the answers given.) I in no way chose this method of payment, but being a regular, I respected what you write in bulk in front of your cash register, i.e. YOUR preference for TWINT or payment cards. You turn to your service provider, a somewhat easy attitude, but your customers who are waiting in line have the right to know that you have a problem... A WORD on the window or a message from your staff to inform would have been more than sufficient . They know how to do it to announce the closure! This could have allowed customers, because I was not the only one, to be able to go to a distributor! So, YES, it’s not caring about your customers!

The ice cream is really good at this place but I must say that the waiting lines are reaaally long. I should also say that the place was closing at 21.00, we arrived hurrying at 20.54 to see already a small waiting line in front of us ( just some people) and the lady just waved us many times that we wouldn't be served. Normally the place wasn't already closed and we should be able to wait in line and be served. I just find it's a real pitty!

How lucky to have stumbled upon this glacier by chance! The queue in front of the sign attests to the quality of the product... It's hot but people are waiting for their ice cream, so it must be worth it. After 10 minutes of waiting (time to choose our flavors from the long list of ice creams and sorbets) it's our turn. Orange blossom, hibiscus, yuzu, black sesame, rose water, etc. a multitude of original perfumes, but also the great classics are available. The taste is there, although a little light on certain flavors. In short, it makes you want it and the desire is satisfied when you eat, you want to go back there.

In my opinion, one of the main qualities of an ice cream. And that must be refreshing. And not disgusting. I have confirmation from my girlfriend who often eats it with me. (matcha is the only flavor that goes down well. Surely the bitterness breaks the sugar). Have you changed who prepares them? Or the recipe? Damage. I think I'll continue to make my own ice cream. Really excellent gelateria! I would even say that a visit to Lausanne is worth it just for this gelateria! The ice cream is exactly as excellent quality ice cream should be: not artfully piled up on the counter, but from deeper containers. The cups and waffles are piled high with spatulas. I think it's great that there are also very special flavors: I had Nepalese pepper and salted pistachio. There are some bad reviews relating to the long queues. The gelateria really can't do anything about that! I do it so that I go to such providers either at off-peak times or when the weather is bad. Alternatively, I take a large portion home with me. Maybe you could also have small mobile sales points in the city and on the lakeshore in 2022? It didn't cost much rent and more guests could enjoy your ice cream. In the picture is my daughter's little Cornet Vanilla+Almond.

You can't beat their sesame flavours (black for the aesthetic vibe 🔥); matcha (on the bitter side of bittersweet) and yuzu (lightweight but with sparks of freeze dried yuzu for its bright flavour). Difficult for us to finish our two perfumes and impatient to be able to drink a glass of water to wash away the taste of "aspartame" and bitterness. Top artisanal ice creams. Scented to perfection. Small downside for the smoothies which are a little too liquid and therefore sometimes bland depending on the flavor chosen (eg vanilla). Ice/milk quantity ratio to be reviewed.

Great gelato! Waiting time is a little long though, having to wait in line in the heat just for a gelato is why it doesn't get full stars. But the product and staff was great!
