Great place, we want to be one of the regulars. Very human restaurant.

Extremely rude and disrespectful staff. My partner was unwell, when we tried to cancel a booking we were insulted by a male member of staff who then hung up on us. We have eaten here before but we will never return.

A Lausanne institution! Excellent cuisine, respectful and very friendly service. They know their dishes, their products and how to make you have a great time. THANK YOU !

There’s a man who works here who is shockingly rude. I made a reservation for 7:30pm, though I sadly became quite ill during the day. The restaurant opens at 7pm, so I was unable to telephone until then. There is no online booking system and they do not answer the phone out of hours. When I did them the courtesy of telephoning at 7pm (despite being unwell!) I was told that I was “disrespectful” before he hung up on me. If lost revenue from a booking for two is such an issue, this restaurant ought to invest in an online booking system. There’s no excuse for treating customers like this. I have eaten here before but I’ll never return, and I recommend others avoid it too. There are many other places to enjoy good Swiss food.

This restaurant is located below Lausanne Cathedral in a very beautiful setting. Warm welcome and service. A beautiful varied bistro menu for all tastes and seasonal specialties. The free-range egg was perfect as a starter. For the main course, we shared a double steak with béarnaise sauce, fries and seasonal vegetables. Suckling pig with homemade puree for one of the guests. Succulent dishes, we notice the quality and the “Homemade”. Nice wine list also A must-see address in Lausanne!

We had an excellent evening. Pleasant and friendly service, excellent cuisine, the Nordic plate remains a safe bet, personally I really enjoyed the sweetbreads with black garlic: I recommend!

My best restaurant in Switzerland so far! Marrow bones, exquisite truffle petals, whole sole with magnificent white butter sauce. Even the vegetable side dish was amazing, each vegetable had a very strong flavor, cooked to perfection. And the service was very pleasant. Well done

I find the food excellent, everything is fresh and homemade. The dishes are delicious, the atmosphere is warm and the service is very professional. The only detail that I found a bit of a shame is that they wanted to do a second service, so we had "only" 2 hours ahead of us to enjoy our meal, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and it is true that if we enjoy a good bottle and you want to have a starter, main course, cheese and dessert, it's a little stressful and when I'm in a restaurant with a good bottle I like to take my time without looking at the time

The restaurant is really with a restaurant part and a bar part. I only judge the bar part. Good atmosphere to start a weekend evening. It's small but the atmosphere is good.

Very nice bar! On the other hand, it's a shame that they hire anyone to guard the entrance to the bar given that they allowed themselves to be physically violent towards my boyfriend who only asked to enter this bar...

One of our favorite places in Lausanne. The food is always excellent, the welcome and service are top notch and the wine list is full of great discoveries.

What a beautiful evening! of course a lot of people and a little noisy, but everything else perfect. Namely 150 francs per person with a hearty meal, and wines and... and...., but it's worth it. With a lot of added charm and ideally placed for the rest of the evening, Mention to the team all more than up to the mark, we didn't notice that it was full.

An address not to be missed. Never disappointed. A safe value for an affordable budget. The staff at the top too😀

Excellent experience, top service and the food is one of the best options in Lausanne. We had la chasse as it is a must this season, but also the daily menu recommendations were excellent! Very carefully cooked food, tasty recipes, quality raw materials, attention to detail and very polite service!

Everything was absolutely delicious! Absolutely essential address for hunting in particular. Fast, precise and friendly service. The only downside is the coffee water (admittedly filtered) at CHF 7.50. However, that won’t stop us from coming back!

I have been visiting Old Lausanne regularly for over 20 years now. I told myself that it was time for me to share my experience with Internet users. This establishment has always been able to delight me in all aspects of the restaurant: the food, the service and the general atmosphere. The food is of impeccable quality and consistency, the products are fresh and mainly from the region. The staff is warm, helpful and attentive. The general atmosphere is conducive to a dinner/dinner with friends or family in the bistro side but also for a romantic or professional dinner in the restaurant section. In short, it’s much more than a cuisine that will keep you up at night, it’s the entire Vieux-Lausanne restaurant that will charm you. I wish everyone a good appetite and HEALTH!

I grew up in Lausanne. It's been over 30 years and this is the first time I've set foot in this establishment. Very nice setting, excellent service, brazier but chic atmosphere. Very good from all angles.

Bar “La Giraffe”: Very good atmosphere, legendary place. However, come early in the evening because given that it is small, you quickly find yourself cramped. It still remains a must-see bar in Lausanne, and a place where once you're 30 you don't look old :). I recommend

There were 3 of us who came to eat the game. However, my mother did not have a big appetite, so we asked if it was possible to share a dish. We were told no. Then we asked if it was possible for her to take a starter only, we were once again told no. We then had to take 3 dishes and force ourselves to finish our plates, being sensitive to food waste. We then finished the meal with stomach pains. It's a shame because your cooking is very good and having this feeling at the end of a meal is not pleasant and ruined our entire experience with you. You are the only restaurant I know that requires its customers to have one dish each. I don't know if I would come back.

Very pleasant place, classy and rustic at the same time. The meat was good (venison), the accompaniments a little less (chestnuts too sweet, cabbage too salty and boiled), but a good meal overall! We will come back

Excellent cuisine. There were 4 of us, different menus, everyone enjoyed it. The server was a little overwhelmed. He made a mistake when ordering a starter, brought the plates from the next table before realizing the mistake. In short, nothing serious though.

Magnificent meal last night, marinated herring followed by a Parisian steak. The impeccable service and the boss always available with wise advice. A table not to be missed in Lausanne. While passing through the Fête de la Cité, we allowed ourselves a stop at Old Lausanne. The verdict is unchanged ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This restaurant was a nice discovery. The food was very nice, and the table service very professional.

Absolutely recommend it! Our dinner was so delicious and we enjoyed an exquisite wine while relaxing in their terrace surrounded by sun and green vines. The service was nice and even offered us a blanket when the night became chilly. It’s at walking distance from downtown so you can promenade in the streets or visit the bars nearby after dinner. Enjoyed it all!
