Manoïre in Montreux

Visited this summer for Brunch. The choice at the buffet is small but of quality. However, the best dishes quickly run out of stock or there are endless waits. The real problem, which affects the service, is the number of people accepted: long waits, delayed openings in the morning, jostling at the buffet and the impossibility of staying very long because the table is reserved for the next service. Not the best for a Sunday brunch.

We spent a most pleasant day at Mano last Sunday, an enthusiastic team whose good energy is infectious. The succulent brunch delighted our taste buds. I highly recommend this place to families, since the games area is very interesting for young and old alike. Thanks again to Mano for this very pleasant moment.

Thank you a thousand times to Mano for this delicious afternoon, my family and I had a refreshing time, the youngest is a fan of the rabbit park and the oldest is a fan of raclette. We had the opportunity to speak to the manager (very nice), good luck for this very interesting project!!! See you next year!!!

7chf for a hot beer.. not bad eh? Plate of a "double" portion of raclette (two forkfuls) for 2 people, total chf 42! First and last time.

We had a great time! Sweetness, smiles, thank you to the entire Mano team for their welcome during our absolutely delicious brunch!

Nice service but that day, we could only have a scoop of ice cream served in a cardboard bowl. Since we are in a restaurant, I had imagined a mini choice. And the ice cream served in a glass bowl. The few children's games, and the exteriors, deserve a good renovation. There is definitely potential so we are delighted to see the developments.

Beautiful site for a real brunch. Kids dogs and mountain lovers seems welcomed. I rarely had such a good brunch with on top raclette from the front farm cheese. Great moment and great people. Seemingly new owner, wishing you keep that quality as we will come back with kids and friends.

Just grandiose and original. A perfect brunch

This is one of the best brunches I have had. Great setting with beautiful views. I found it quite by accident. I was in the area for a walk and came a cross it. What a little jewel of a place. Really worth a visit.

Delighted to see this magnificent place taken over by a team of enthusiasts. The brunch is delicious, very varied with excellent products. Gratin dauphinois, tomatoes, tarts…. ham and raclette from the farm opposite. The welcome is super warm. And the situation is idyllic...

Distressing. Returning from a hike, we would have happily drunk a soda or something else, and that's when a lady kindly told us that they only have flavored water or so- saying "jamant water" sold for 5 francs a bottle, and not even a single soda or traditional drink😑... To top it all off she tells us that they will have sodas the next day😶... Then we received a carafe of "lemon flavored jamant water" with 2 slices inside and a taste that came more from the tap than from a natural source... It's really absurd to not even have a standard drink and to only serve tap water for 5 francs!! I do not recommend this restaurant where profit alone is the key word on quality, go down to Avants, you will get what you pay for.

One sunny Sunday in August, 4:45 p.m., the chef waved us off, telling us “that there is everything we need in the plains.” Around fifteen people suffered the same fate in the following minutes. A shame for a mountain refreshment bar.

Really too expensive for not much! Friendly crews, the prices are unjustified compared to what we are served. It’s a shame that people who come to do mountain sports have to pay so much.

Beautiful inn restaurant with a very nice view. We were alone, no tourists. The welcome is not warm, it feels more like a nuisance. Have rooms but don't rent them because no staff. Damage. I found some very beautiful wild lilies!

45 minutes of waiting for a drink, 2 hours for a fondue... The waiter forgot half of the dishes, the bread... When we allow ourselves to ask for a third time for bread to continue the fondue, we allow ourselves to tell ourselves that we should not get upset.... Not a move... In short, I would have given a negative rating if I could. However, the view is nice, but they have nothing to do with it ;)

Everything was delicious! The veal sausage with the double cream gratin and the mushroom crust was great! Book in advance to guarantee a place. Friendly service. Don't be in a hurry.

Excellent, but truly exclusive.

Very nicely located mountain restaurant. You have a great view from the beer garden and the food is good too. Price-performance as usual in Switzerland. Unfortunately the waiter didn't feel like doing his job at all that afternoon. We sat for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to appear, unfortunately in vain. When we went into the restaurant and didn't meet anyone, we at least took a food and drinks menu with us, which was immediately greeted with a shout. All in all, our stop with two 0.3l shandy and two quiches cost almost 50 euros and took over 2 hours 😕

Everything is homemade like nowhere else, a real restaurant, the likes of which you don't find in town! Superb view, magnificent environment, and what's more, we are very well received by people who do this for their vocation. My favorite high altitude spot! without hesitation!

Everything is great and superb. A very beautiful place to come and eat with a sublime view. The specialties are delicious and the welcome is very kind. Apres la montée depuis Allières, pause déjeuner au restaurant. Excellent accueil et bonne nourriture. C'est un lieu de passage au col de Jaman mais cela vaut la peine de s'arrêter à l'auberge

Que vous veniez de Montreux à pieds ou à vélo, la halte est bien méritée! La terrasse est calme, sans musique sauf le son des cloches des vaches, et offre une très belle vue. Le personnel accueillant propose des plats très agréables dont il faudrait se laisser tenter.

Après une route sinueuse, nous arrivons dans un petit coin de paradis. Cela fait plusieurs année que j'organise des week-end pour la peur du vide et à chaque fois nous sommes "déçu" en bien. Accueil chaleureux, le personnel aux petits oignons, repas du terroir et même des glaces bio-vegan délicieuses. Ici on prend le temps de vivre...

J'ai passé 2 jours au restaurant du Manoire dans le cadre d’un cours d’acrophobie.L'accueil était fantastique, les propriétaires sont chaleureux et la nourriture excellente. Je conseille en particulier la croûte aux champignons, délicieuse.

Great place, ideally located in the passes. Perfect for taking a break with friends or on a motorbike, with a superb view. The staff is pleasant. No major parking problem, there is parking on site. The only downside is the price, which is still quite high in Switzerland unfortunately.

Nous sommes allez manger au Manoïre. Cadre superbe sous la dent de Jaman. Personnel sympathique, restaurant typique de montagne. La nourriture y est très bonne. Les prix par contre... 31 fr pour une planchettes avec 4 bout de fromage, 6 rondelles de salami et 5 tranche de jambon mmmmh. Ce ne sont pas les 2 cornichons et oignon au milieu qui justifie un tel prix. Nous pensions qu'au moins nous pouvions garder la planchette... que neni. Pour le reste le lapin ainsi que les croûtes au fromage ont bien passé, idem pour les desserts. C'est vraiment la planchette qui nous est restée en travers de la gorge. Ce restaurant gagne à être connu. Mais ce n'est pas pour les petits budgets.

I ordered a fresh goat's cheese at the Manoire with a little salad (1 handful). The side bread never arrived This for 16.-- the sommelier was friendly but he forgot everything. Maybe too many people. If we come back we'll have a picnic

You should update your opening hours. We checked before coming, it said open until 8:00 p.m. The staff closed the door in our faces at 4:10 p.m. Thank you for the welcoming !

La nourriture est très bonne et l'endroit est superbe. Nous sommes arrivés à midi et avons été bien accueillis. Au vu du temps qui était frais, nous avons demandé à pouvoir changer de table et aller à l'intérieur. La patronne a tout de suite fait le nécessaire de manière très sympathique. Après notre promenade, nous sommes retournés pour y prendre un dessert, toujours aussi excellent, toutefois, il est vrai que le service était un peu lent. Quoiqu'il en soit, nous en gardons un bon souvenir.

Wir haben viermal nach dem Menü gefragt. . . . keine Reaktion. Sie liefen entweder mit einem Körbchen Brot oder einer Pfeffermühle hinein oder hinaus. . . - Warum nicht die andere Hand benutzen, um das Menü zu bringen? ? Wir wurden total ignoriert - haben so etwas noch nie erlebt. Wir sind gerade mit einem großen Gelächter nach 25 Minuten abgereist. Können Sie sich vorstellen, wenn wir etwas bestellt hätten? . . . . Es wäre dunkel gewesen, bevor wir hätten gehen können!

Passez votre chemin sauf si vous etes prêt à attendre 45 min pour commander, 30 minutes encore pour etre servis... Et encore vous n'aurez pas droit à un "bonjour"...

Nous revenions tranquillement de notre marché lorsque nous avons remarqué un mégot au plein milieu de la nature. Par acquis de conscience, nous le ramassons afin de le jeter dans la première poubelle présente. Celle-ci était en faite le containaire du restaurant, le patron nous ayant vu jeter un mégot (environ 0.5g) est sorti de son restaurant furieux et à tout de suite commencer à nous insulter, en disant que c était sa poubelle et que nous n'avions pas le droit d'y jeter des déchets. Nous avons essayé de lui expliquer que notre geste n était en aucun cas de lui remplir ces tendres et chères poubelles mais que nous avions voulu faire une bonne action en ramassant un mégot qui n était pas à nous ! Il n a rien voulu savoir et à continuer à être injurieux et en expliquant que la taxe au sac est chère... Ensuite c est aussi au tour de sa femme de sortir de leur restaurant tout en nous insultant..Enfin bref, nous ne sommes pas du genre à rédiger des commentaires, mais des comportements tels que ces personnes ont eu ne sont pas du tout acceptable, d autant plus qu ils sont censés êtres des commerçants et non des personnes aigris cherchant à tous prix à occuper leurs journées ennuyantse. Je n ai jamais été autant insulté pour une bonne action ! Et à voir le restes des commentaires, ce n est pas la première fois ! Dommage qu un charmant restaurant comme celui-ci soit pollué par des personnes autant impolies !À savoir que ces personnes reçoivent des touristes, merci pour l image de la Suisse qu ils transmettent !

Repas d'alpage typique (croûte au fromage, assiette de viande séchée, tarte abricot du Valais, etc...)Produits régionaux de grande qualité.Et un accueil vraiment chaleureux par une dame charmante et très attentionnée.La vue sur les montagnes environnantes est aussi superbe.

Le cadre est magnifique, la buvette a du charme... mais les prix sont élevés, le service désorganisé et la patronne ne semble plus où donner de la tête (elle quitte notre table alors que nous n'avons pas fini notre commande, engeule ses employés sous notre nez, etc.) Dommage car il y a vraiment de quoi faire bien en un lieu pareil !

Accustomed to alpine chalets, this one benefits from one of the most beautiful views of the Dent de Jaman and Vaudois pre-Alps that I know. Jaman's cheese fondue is in my top 3 so far. Very friendly staff, also for little ones.

Quelle horrible expérience ! Après une longue montée jusqu'au col de Jaman, vous êtes accueilli comme de la m.. par un serveur antipathique et arrogant, il faut ensuite attendre 15 minutes pour qu'on daigne vous donner la carte, 20 minutes supplémentaires pour pouvoir passer commande et... attendre encore plus d'une demi heure (!!) sans même avoir pu obtenir les boissons commandées, si vous tentez de vous renseigner auprès du personnel sur l'état de votre commande, on se fout littéralement de votre gueule en vous disant que si vous n'êtes pas content, c'est la même chose. Ils étaient pourtant trois au service, pour une douzaine de tables! On est partis avant même d'être servis, dégoûtés. Comment, dans un endroit aussi idyllique, peut-on négliger à ce point la qualité du service?

Rien que la lecture de la carte et les prix excessifs qui s'en dégagent laissent apparaître que la beauté de l'endroit et son panorama en font un "atrappe-touriste" ou piège à pigeons. A notre arrivée, vers 16 h. (après près de 2 h. de marche), nous prenons place sur la terrasse où très rapidement on entend les plaintes de gauche et de droite sur le service. Nos voisins nous mettent en garde sur le fait qu'ils attendent à boire depuis près de 30 minutes. Effectivement, nous ne serons pas déçu par la qualité déplorable de l'accueil et la lenteur et désorganisation totale au niveau du service. On nous demande de patienter pour passer commande (1 bière et un Coca !!) car il y a des tables à débarasser. Deux dames à une table voisine sont en colère car elles attendent un dessert depuis près de 45'. Bref, un endroit où l'accueil est une vraie catastrophe, les prix excessifs et les plats (à voir passer) guère attirants. Un conseil, allez faire un saut au Col de Jaman, cela en vaut la peine, mais prenez votre pic-nic et vous serez très heureux.

Lamentable, incompetent and arrogant service, after more than 30 minutes of waiting for you to be served a drink (!!!), the waiter (bald gentleman with a polo shirt) still allows himself to send you away when you ask if your order has been forgotten! With 3 servers for 12 tables they can't keep up. Flee this place, which is very expensive for very average food

la monté du col est sinueuse mais très belle. Le Panorama sur le lac Léman et les montagnes est fantastique et inoubliable. L’accueil au Manoire est très chaleureux et sincère. La carte est simple mais on voudrait goûter toutes les spécialités du chef étoilé, mes saucisses de veau au gratin crème double était à tombé, j’ai goûté la polenta au fromage de Jaman de mon voisindélicieuse aussi mais j’étais obligée de prendre un mille-feuilles aux framboises qui était succulent. C’était une très belle journée bien gourmande. Merci

Prix exessifs, carte des desserts nulle, très chère, odeur d'amoniaque, pas de boules de glace à la crème d'alpage, juste des sucettes, à la table pas d'ampoule au plafonnier, les balais sales à côté,route dangereuse . Grosse déception

Wir machten eine schöne Wanderung zum Dent de Jaman und stießen nach einem langen Spaziergang auf dieses kleine Restaurant in der Nähe des Parkplatzes. Sie hatten eines der besten, wenn nicht das beste Fondue, das ich je hatte. Der verwendete Käse stammt aus einer benachbarten Bäckerei und ist unglaublich cremig. Hausgemachtes frisches Brot und Wurstwaren. Die Wüste verdient Erwähnung. Erstaunliche Meringen mit Mille Feuilles und mir. Total einen Besuch wert.

Die Straße war gesperrt, stellen Sie sich also unsere Überraschung vor, als wir auf dieses wundervolle Restaurant stießen, das geöffnet war! Anstelle von Brot und Obst hatten wir ein schönes Fondue-Mittagessen. Der Koch bereitete jedoch ein Kaninchengericht zu. Aufgrund seines Rufes mussten wir es bestellen. Es war nicht von dieser Welt! Das ganze Erlebnis war einer der Höhepunkte unserer ersten Reise in die Schweiz.

Simple and rustic Warm welcome and service Overcast and cloudy weather which did not allow me to enjoy the landscape, but a very good time to taste traditional and nourishing cuisine. Prices are proportional to the altitude of the place... but very reasonable. Good table to share with hiking or hunting friends but also with family.

Marvelous. Everything wonderful. After a long and exhausting excursion from the Jaman station to the Col du Jaman, we were welcomed into this family restaurant with great kindness and affection. The owner is an excellent public relations person who, among other languages, speaks Spanish. His daughter Charlotte is not far behind him. As kind as she is professional and educated, she improves her mother's Spanish and took great care of us. Very good food prepared by the father, an excellent cook. All very close and familiar. Very correct price. Simple place, but with a lot of charm. Depending on where you sit, there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. I left sad because it is not normal that I do not return to this place so beautiful and far from civilization, and I will not be as comfortable as I was here.

DEPLORABLE welcome, UNPLEASANT boss, rotten terrace furniture, LOOKING service, we just have the impression of making them ch...
