Great place by the lake with a large terrace for sunny days. Warm welcome, excellent cuisine, impeccable service.

We ordered a salad, but there was a green insect moving inside the salad. We told the waitress and she just took the dish and she was rude and arrogant, she didn't apologize and she didn't say anything. The waitress told another waiter about this problem, he also didn't didn't pay attention, we just wanted the waiters to apologize or say sorry. When we paid the bill we told them that we expected at least an apology but the reaction of the same waitress shocked us even more, she was still arrogant and humiliating, she said that it was normal, that it was a fresh salad and she left angry without saying anything, she took an attitude, she was literally angrier than us for no reason. We found that unacceptable. Then the prices were very expensive, it didn't deserve that price and the toilets were very dirty, we don't advise anyone to go to this restaurant. It's just a scam, we feel disappointed and angry.

We had a salad consisting of asparagus, fried egg and toasted bread. Where to start, lots of chews, a small fried egg, raw asparagus cut into 6 and three hazelnuts for a sum of 22chf and a slice of stale bread. Dessert: a slightly hard chocolate brioche for 9chf €33 for a meal because tap water in a carafe is €6. Tourist trap beware. Yes, the waiter didn't want to catch a cold on the terrace so he told us to order all at once because I don't want to get sick. Frankly there are better and cheaper elsewhere. Run away quickly.

The terrible service and expensive prices are not worth the visit even though the food was decent. They charge 4chf for a tiny carafe of tap water, not to mention double that for any actual drinks! On top of that, the servers refused to honor a discount we have which would have given us a free pizza if we ordered 2. They were argumentative about it and arrogant to boot. Absolutely ridiculous treatment of customers and completely spoiled the afternoon.

Cold pizza 🍕 Ordered asparagus salad and received nut salad with three asparagus tips. The salad was not charged for after the complaint, but an extra pizza was added to the bill instead.

Unfortunately, the pizza was cold right from the start, the asparagus salad consisted of lamb's lettuce with just 3 pieces of asparagus. After complaining, the salad was not charged, but an additional pizza was included on the bill. There were 6 of us and very disappointed.

Excellent! San Daniel ham very good and cut perfectly. Wonderful Búfala. Simply perfect pasta and pizas.

Food was fresh and very tasty. We asked the server for vegetarian options and he suggested the Minestrone Soup, Semi e Ceci Pizza, and Tortelloni Fatti in Casa Alla. Must try and also don't forget to sign up for loyalty program if you plan to visit again!

Unfortunately, my visit to Molino didn't convince me for the second time and I won't be coming back. The food would be okay (rather expensive), but the service still has a lot of room for improvement. Despite the half-empty interior (the terrace is also unoccupied), the people serving are careless, forget the drinks they ordered and, after asking, wordlessly slam the bottles onto the table. There is no question as to whether the food tastes good and the service generally seems uncaring and dismissive. I would therefore not recommend the restaurant to anyone who expects appropriate service and a great restaurant experience for the rather high prices. I'd rather eat the pizza than take away somewhere by the lake...

Nice modern interior in this restaurant close to the lake side. This restaurant is part of a chain and we have eaten at their other restaurants in geneva. In this restaurant the pizza's came fast but as we were ordering 2 pizza's to share we did not get the service level as usual. The saleds we ordered as starters came only after the pizza s were on the table. The first margarita pizza was very thin, had very little mozzarella on the dough and really was not satisfying us. Accordingly, we ordered another one pizza, which was of a much better quality. We asked for tap water in addition to ordering wine and beer. To our surprise we were billed chf 4 for the water, without the waiter indicating that we would not be getting tap water. Only afterwards we were told by another waiter that they serve filtered water, or sparking water that is charged at chf 4 per small bottle. We were not pleased by this surprise charge. Overall nice and modern restaurant, the food is of good quality, but the service we received, and transparency of the charges, was not up to standards. Given the prices they charge, we expected a better experience.

I just paid eight francs for 1 liter of water carafe. For my part it was a little too exaggerated.

20 minutes for two coffees (not to mention the waiter who simply forgot about us because he was too busy flirting with the two girls behind us) and almost as long to be able to pay. Having to wait for the waiter to be kind enough to stop talking about his life and cash us in... Ugh. Luckily the coffee was good.

Since the upgrade of their restaurants nationwide, it has been always enjoyable to dine at a Molino. Varied clientele, families, couples etc. seem to enjoy the Italian food and drinks on offer. Desserts are always excellent.

The waiters here very fraudy and they keep fishing you with the things you didn’t even order! Never come back again

Badly known pizza (It was NOT roasted, the mushrooms were completely raw) We ordered the starters and it came with the pizza.

Exceptional and friendly welcome. Very wide opening hours. Very attentive service. Very successful recent renovation. Delicious dishes. The prices reflect this magnificent service and quality, so it should come as no surprise.

I ordered the sort of bruschettas....you have to have an iron jaw because they are hard, to be cut with a saw! and so small that it looked like an aperitif! 16CHF!!! La Marguerite costs 20CHF, but it only deserves 5CHF for the way it was made.... It's the shame of the Italian pizzeria! and finally, the paid carafe of water... a shame! Never again! Don't be fooled by a place like this, there are many restaurants that are much friendlier, better and reasonably priced.

I have known this chain for a long time which should be Italian, but which only has the people who prepare the pizzas, perhaps the chefs, the raw materials such as mozzarella, ham etc. as Italian. (I presume 😅… at the time EVERYTHING was Italian with a lot of branding). What struck me??? Italian exploitation, products and everything but without an Italian logo: I explain; at the time the sign of this chain (13 in all of Switzerland 🇨🇭) was branded and printed complete with the Italian flag 🇮🇹, including the uniforms of every single staff person. Now nothing exists anymore. Italian is sold but it is not Italy (the waiter comes with a super French accent including the manager). Non-Italian climate (if I eat Chinese I want to be served by Chinese not by others). A carafe of water 4chf perhaps from the tap 😅 learn if I pay I want the bottle open in front of me not from the tap (e.g. that those who manage restaurants understand NOTHING). Change which is better

Friendly and very professional reception, fast turnaround to prepare a table for 8 at busy times for the restaurant, super friendly and attentive waiter (Grazie Maurizio) who was also very happy to entertain a bunch of very hungry kids!

We were there 2 days ago for dinner with friends, very central place, very well managed and very good Italian-style food. It's a shame that the management of the toilets was also Italian and left a lot to be desired... dirty with several things broken and not recently, and given that it was the beginning of the evening it means that they didn't really bother to clean the whole place. day. Excellent pizza. Value for money quite normal for Switzerland.

The food is good but much too expensive for a pizza or a pasta dish. The prices are poorly indicated and I find it scandalous not to warn your customers that your CARAFES OF WATER are 4 FRS!!! I was surprised at the bill and despite the lack of information from the waiter the carafe was still billed!!! I won't go back there again and I wouldn't recommend it.

Pasta à la Carbona, not great, espresso at 4.80frs......carafe of still water at 4frs, frankly life is expensive but still it's exaggerated

My most expensive Pizza of my life, certainly, it was good, but CHF 33.- the Pizza....and the cheapest wine at dl CHF 6.90...so a luxury Pizzeria where I will no longer put the feet. Little choice of Pizza and exorbitant prices. We can clearly see the sought-after clientele in the Montreux region.

We went here for lunch after a visit to the famous markets. Friendly and Italian service, quality food (even if the portion is a little small) and a pleasant environment. We took some tagliolini with truffles and a slice of panettone. Prices high but in line with Switzerland. Good, approved.

Regarding the pizzas, they were very good. Regarding our welcome in the restaurant, very bad experience! My 4 year old son cut himself with the water glass that broke in his hands, he cut his thumb very deeply!! The indulgence and lack of compensation from the room manager left me speechless! He didn't even ask me if my son was okay, the commercial gesture was ridiculous since my son couldn't even finish his pizza due to the broken glass!! From a weakened glass!! When paying not even a goodbye while my son cut himself with a drink from your establishment! Too bad the food is good while the tact and kindness for your customers is unacceptable and ridiculous!

We more than enjoyed our beautiful evening at Molino, the pizzas are really excellent! The atmosphere, the setting and the smiles of the servers are simply great! The small downside remains the price of the pizzas (on average CHF 33), although we must admit they are really delicious. We feel the slightest flavors in the mouth and we see that the products used are of very good quality. Don’t hesitate to taste their homemade spicy oil, it’s killer 🤤 To give an idea, we paid CHF 95 for two people for 2 glasses of Prosecco, 2 pizzas and a small dessert. We will return with great pleasure to Molino 😊

Always a pleasure to come and eat at Molino in Montreux, particularly since the renovations carried out. The wood-fired pizza is delicious, and a special mention for the impeccable service provided by Sandro.

Very nice Italian restaurant. Pizza was as good or better than in Italy frankly. Server Sandro was excellent! All the staff were playful with my 16 month old and very helpful and kind. Excellent service and excellent food.

NOT AT ALL SATISFIED. 530 fr for 6 people and 2 children [children's pizza] without wine. The final? We left from there and after an hour everyone went to McDonald's. To save pizza and very kind waitress. The rest is a tourist restaurant. Nothing else.

Decent food, albeit on the pricey side. You pay for the pasta and pizza bases separately. Toppings and fixings are extra. Nice location for outdoor dining.

Despite a big Terrasse they don’t care that 80% of the population are non smokers and allow the 20% of smokers to terrorize the 80% who want to live a healthy live and enjoy food without being exposed to 2nd hand smoking-

If you take a San Daniele, pay attention to the ham!!! Not to mention the answer I was given by the waiter that no, he didn't want to make my pizza all over again, but simply wanted to replace that spoiled ham with something else! For what it costs at least they should have apologized! Never again

The Italian dishes served are always a treat for the taste buds, however the service would benefit from being a little more refined. Nice setting by the lake.

The restaurant is very well located by the lake, unfortunately this is almost one of the only positive points I can give. The service was quite long (more than 2 hours at the table for main course and dessert) the salads are really meager for the price!! The pasta is too al dente, and the rest of the dishes are not worth the prices set. I will not go back and I do not recommend.

I ordered for my child pasta and ordered my food after 20 mins my child’s food came after mine even after multiple reminders for his food and it was penne pasta in white souse nothing extra ordinary

Mr. Director, we ate well in your restaurant. The pizzas are delicious and the tiramisu too. However, how can you hire employees like the tall skinny brown-haired man who welcomed us and the long-haired brunette waitress. Not smiling and bad reception. Plus he speaks badly to the waiters. We have read the same comments several times but you had to remove them because they were negative because we no longer see them on the sites. My husband left reviews and we don't see them. It’s a shame for the image of your restaurant which is very nice.

This place should be rated way higher because it’s DELICIOUS! We came in by chance and really enjoyed the great food and kind service. I highly recommend it for anyone and especially families with kids.

Not sure where to start, but our service was very slow(with almost an empty restaurant) one of the people from our table got a wrong dish and was waiting for the replacement a lot afterwards, while we were all eating our mediocre food(mediocre quality at best, this is not high quality Italian cuisine). Afterwards logically, we asked to delete that specific dish or give us some form of a discount for their poor service and mixup, to which the manager was very rude. He repeatedly stated that it was our mistake with bad communications and he didn’t like the way we approached him(he came to our table) and how we were talking to him(we addressed him in calm demeanor at first and obviously were a little upset after he denied the fact that we had poor service and they mixed up the food). After he argued with us for couple minutes, he walked away and then came back and decided to give us a small discount without any apology for his outlandish behavior or the poor service they “provided”. I would advise not to come or order from this place unless you want to have a slow service and a rude manager.

We spent two evenings at the Molino Montreux. The food was excellent, especially the very friendly and attentive service. Really highly recommended, especially the terrace at sunset.

The food is good and high quality,there for a bit expensive . However the service wasn’t just friendly. We felt very judged by the first waiter we had. We were four people and ordered one half bottle of red Wine . He criticised that quite a few times and after we had made it perfectly clear that we wanted a half a bottle he proceeded to give us less . In general he wasn’t that polite and nice to us . Later on we had another waiter who provided a really good service and was really funny . I recommend the restaurant because of its food ,but the service could be better .

In short, brilliant!🤗 We had the Tavolata! The first record with wonderful ones Antipasti, a delight for the eyes and the palate!👍 Everything was served very friendly and humorous! Simply brilliant all around!🌝 Likewise the pizzas and the dolci! It was an all-round successful evening, cozy and fine! Thank you!🤗 Keep it up, we'll be back!🙋

The food was tasteless and the pasta was not cooked. We ordered pasta carbonara, bolognese and margarita. The simplest thing in the world

We opted for the chef recommendation for summer menu, ordered a salad and pasta. Salad came with some croutons but were mixed with some paste that tasted horrible and croutons were soggy. We tried but barely had much. The pasta was just with some bell peppers and pasta was undercooked, pasta was hard and clumpy. It was the worse food I ever had. Seriously why are you still even operating!

The meal was good. We ordered pizzas. Unfortunately, too high a price for pizzas and the service leaves something to be desired. Servers should be more attentive to customers and less intrusive in wanting to impose their wine choices. In addition, if the restaurant wants to impose a high standard, it should already include the same type of glasses when setting up and the menus should be more explicit regarding prices.

Bad food quality and bad service we went to the toilet and they served our food while we were there therefore our food was cold. There is no presentation on plates no efforts made to make you feel like you are eating something good. I ordered buschete with meat I only had fat and no meat…

It's definitely a great place to visit, the service is fast and attentive, the food is extremely delicious, I ordered the tuna margheritta pizza and it was very nice, it was a wonderful meal with its thin dough, quality ingredients and spicy olive oil that came with it. Prices are reasonable compared to Switzerland. I definitely recommend a place to visit.

It’s amazing restaurant. It’s located in front of lake. The service was very good. The waiter named Sandro served us and his service was very good. And the foods are unexpectedly delicious. I’m living in Italy. And the quality of the foods at this restaurant is as good as in Italy.
