Peking Garden in Zürich

Never again!! This lunchtime I spontaneously took something from the buffet and after no less than 10 minutes I had extreme stomach pain and diarrhea. Chernobyl food at its finest.

Typical Asian buffet. With 3.60sfr. per 100g. rather expensive fun. Unfortunately, the buffet already looks a bit dingy at 12.30 and is no longer warm. Service friendly. Selection ok.

The food is mostly good. Price/performance tip top. The service often leaves much to be desired. The toilet facility urgently needs to be replaced and kept clean better!

Picked up sweet and sour chicken at the take away. Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed that there were only 4 small pieces of vegetables. There was a lot of savings on vegetables, which I think is a shame... I was very disappointed. Because sweet and sour chicken also includes vegetables.

Food was ok, staff nice, toilets not up to standard, no soap, always an acrid smell.

In Call they say tharum have buffet and when we reach there they say no buffet. Waste of time. We were regular peking garden costumers but this worst experience

Good foods with plenty of options (buffet/ala carte), we really like the home made drink. I can eat dimsum with peanut sauce and the fried shrimp is crispy as in Asia. It was nice atmosphere too.Manuel is very friendly and helpful. I was amazed that when I came in, he guessed correctly my home country ( which most people can't tell) and spontaneously provided me gado-gado, an Indonesian specialty, as a side dish. Thanks, Manuel, it was lovely. I'll come back again. 4 years later: the place is not friendly anymore. How come a restaurant employs a rude & impolite waiter like that? She shouted at me and walked away to ignore a polite feedback. Treated like plague/annoyance instead of a normal customer. The foods I usually like has changed the taste and quality as well.

The Chinese food was very good even we received wrong order partially. But Sushi was disappointed as other reviews, not fresh and the sushi rice was very dry because we took out on Sunday...?

We ate well. The staff was friendly. It's all ok.

I once had a problem with Peking Garden web ordering, but apparently it was my mistake and I apologize to Peking Garden for the inconvenience this caused.

Take away with fair prices. Food is solidly good

Stopped for a spot of Asian food… Japanese (sushi) was decent, Chinese food ok, good portions. Very polite and helpful service.

I placed an order with Just-Eat and they did everything wrong that you could do wrong. The best thing is I was offered a voucher and it didn't work on their website, then I called at 10:25 p.m. and wanted to order something. The lady on the phone said delivery only until 10:30 p.m. when I said I still had 5 minutes, she said yes but they have to come otherwise I would have to wait a long time... It is very difficult to order by phone and I would certainly recommend you not to order there.

Bad service, totally overwhelmed staff unfortunately.

Very impolite. Toilet was only possible with 1.00 compensation, which went into the private purse. The toilet hasn't been cleaned in a while and hasn't been disinfected anyway. You don't feel like eating sushi anymore. Thank you very much, I'd rather go back to the Greek restaurant at Stauffacher.

Very good restaurant, the food is good, and the kitchen and establishment in general are very clean.

I recently had the pleasure of dining and take away at Perking Garden and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect. First and foremost, the food was incredible. Every dish we ordered was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The menu had a great selection of options and there was something for everyone. Plus, the portions were generous and left us feeling satisfied. On top of the delicious food, the service was top-notch. Staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and were happy to answer any questions we had. The atmosphere was also wonderful - the restaurant was cozy, elegant, and had a great ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone looking for best food and variety of options.

Very tasty dishes with generous portions. We were there with the family and everyone was enthusiastic about the good food and the selection. Price-performance is very good. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, the staff is friendly and helpful. “Kung Po” with chicken, fried rice and pecan nuts is highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

The crispy duck is definitely my favorite, great value for money.

In terms of transport, the Peking Garden is very conveniently located in the Zurich Wollishofen train station building. The restaurant is modernly furnished with a large take-away counter and a few tables and high tables in a separate room. We both had soup as a starter, both the gold-silver soup and the won ton soup tasted very, very good. We were also impressed by the main courses. We would order the Singapore noodles with duck and the house recommendation, the beef casiu, again at any time. The service employees were very friendly and prompt, so that there were no long waiting times despite the restaurant being full. Price-performance is absolutely okay for the really large portions.

Delicious food served by enthusiastic and proud owners. Try the daily grab n' go offer... You weigh your food and that's what you pay, it's value and quality. Normally included chicken, veggies and rice, with different flavors (i.e. marsala, kung pao, sweet n' sour, etc).

The service couldn't speak German. Food and price tip top. Unfortunately there was no demand for drinks, we had to keep calling, the same thing with dessert was a shame.

Ordered a green curry with rice for take away yesterday. 16.50 francs. At home the food turned out to be inedible. Thick porridge that was thickened with maizena powder and the taste was only sugar and a little spicy, far removed from green Thai curry. The optics were on the level of a can of “cat food”! No thanks!

Absolute catastrophe. Food inedible. Incompetent service, didn't speak a word of German. Once and never again.

Good food at fair prices. The amount of raw onions in some of the sauces is a bit extreme though.

It was really a bad experience eating there. With the starter it started with the chicken skewers still being frozen inside, we gave them back and got a new portion, they smelled and were really disgusting. The noodles for the main courses were dripping with fat. The service was always friendly. The disappointment was really big, we gave back all the plates and paid 150 CHF. Except for the fact that we spent time together as a family, it was a complete failure. It's a real shame

Tom kha Gai is maybe not their speciality. You shouldn't go for Thai food here, it's not the best. The soup had tomato in it, quite strange never had it in Thailand. The chicken was also looking and tasting overcooked. I tried also Pad Thai and it's not their best with sweet and sour sauce 🙈 go for Chinese should be better👍🏻

Great food, quick, friendly service, relatively quick home delivery about 40 minutes. In Wollishofen, we take the occasional language barrier with humor. Always happy to come back.

Unfortunately a lot of new staff, probably new management. It used to be very nice, but today from my point of view it's just a normal Chinese with modest quality food and modest service. There is something much more recommendable nearby.

The container should not be included in buffet prices unless it is explicitly stated so. Peking Garden charges for the container with a lid, even though the saleswoman assured that they don't do that. When I then insisted on weighing the empty container, it quickly became clear that this was not true. So you make a little extra sales every time.

Very fine menus at a fair price. I always enjoy coming back to the Peking Wollishofen. Some of the staff don't speak German, but they are very friendly.

I've ordered from times from this Restaurant, always a different standard. Consistency is there problem. From microwaved szechuan pepper beef, and cold rice, to an excellent meal served in the restaurant in Wollishoffen. After slipping and hurting my back. on the the way back from the toilet as they had started cleaning before all the guests were finished. It's unacceptable I was offered no assistance. I would never order anything ever again from this wannabe Chinese restaurant serving onion rings.

Anyone who wants to use the toilet here pays one franc! Is there a worse money-making scheme?!? Underground, especially since there are no toilets at Wollishofen train station.

The outdated concept of lots of choice and meat, questionable freshness (due to the large selection of dishes) and endless amounts of plastic packaging didn't work for me. Edible, but enjoyment, quality and healthy cuisine looks different. Good luck.

I had high expectations for the sushi and was disappointed with the service and quality. The place nevertheless remains nice.

The food was very good and looked great too. But the service left a lot to be desired. When I asked if I could get the food within half an hour, the answer was: ask him! So I should go to the boss who was serving and ask him!!!😏

The food seemed to me to be originally Chinese. It's also normal when it has a really good chef. The service was friendly and gave you very good advice. Even when the iced coffee dessert we wanted was no longer available, this great team managed to organize a very close alternative! So a big thank you to the service and the very fine ice coffee with a difference that tasted really great with expresso and the chosen ice cream.

First things first: food was great! Plus fair prices! But none of this would be worth anything without good service, which is also the case here! Very, very nice staff, extremely helpful and accommodating! I can only recommend it!

Good sushi at wolollishofen station. It's a good place for a quick dinner. The restaurant is the same as sushi zurich and you can choose to order Chinese,Japanese or both

This has been our favorite Asian restaurant for almost 2 years, we have ordered online and eaten at the table maybe for a total of 30-40 times. Food has always been great but unfortunately something changed in the last weeks. Maybe different cook, I am not not sure, but for the last couple of meals the quality has gone dramatically down. Last delivery right a few minutes ago, did not even finish the dish. I am very disappointed!

Cozy place, good food, friendly service. There are also various vegetarian options that taste very good. The restaurant is usually not particularly full, which is why I find the atmosphere to be very pleasant.

DANGER! Don't order pork ribs unless you want fried meat that claims to be pork. Addendum to the owner's answer: The fact that you don't even know your own prices - ribs 7.50 francs - says a lot about the exchange of information. And it's not true that I was informed in advance. I only really noticed when the plate was at the table. In my opinion it is not fair to the customer. Because IN MY opinion there is disinformation on the menu. The miniature images are too small on the real menu - therefore unusable. And in my opinion they are not sufficient as a declaration. Normally I'm not a picky customer and don't complain about bad food. But the whole affair feels like a scam, so I will avoid Peking Garden in the future. The hospitality is top! The introductory conversations with the host couple in particular make you forget the "crazy madness" that has been going on for two years. You go home very satisfied after a good meal. Goal achieved!

I consider the correct declaration of dishes to be ubiquitous in Switzerland. Unfortunately, it seems that "pork ribs" only serves fried meat to the guest.

Friday evening, empty tables. It's not like you can order a lot of smaller dishes - there are some ready-made menus. Not separate meat, vegetables, rice, etc. The food was colder than warm anyway. The staff is nice.

So. The staff is very friendly and if you order the typical dishes like szechuan and kung po, it's fine. Unfortunately I found the Tom yam gung was more like "Sol Janka" (Russian soup) Why: 1. no galanga used 2. zucchini in it 3. Cut garlic instead of Thai basil 4. lemon or vinegar, Was there a 2nd time now. I ordered Szechuan. Was disappointed again. All you can taste is garlic and soy sauce. In addition, the portion was small. No Sichuan pepper tasted and no 5 spices either. Sorry. The service is nice, but I don't go there anymore

Wrong delivery for the 2nd time... Today I ordered satay with beef and noodles and they delivered Szechuan (?)... They also had 25min. Tardiness

Waited forever. Restaurant almost empty, at noon at 12. We waited 45 minutes for two orders. Not recommended if you want to leave work at lunchtime.

Friendly staff. Peking soup and wonton were good. Unfortunately there is no beef cansiu or satay duck. The beef tasted like fish (old oil?), the satay sauce didn't taste like peanuts and the duck still had the skin on it, which you could barely bite into... We're disappointed

Wir bestellen schon seit Jahren beim Peking Garden in Wollishofen und waren mit jeder Essenslieferung mehr als zufrieden. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Lieferung erfolgt immer in der genannten Zeit und das ganze Team ist sehr freundlich, lustig und zuvorkommend. Wir werden auch die kommenden Jahren dem Peking Garden treu bleiben :)

Gutes, sauberes durchgehend geöffnetes Restaurant, mit einer schönen und sonnigen Terrasse bis in den späten Abend. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig. Am Mittag stehen das Mittagsbuffet oder der normale a la Card Service zur Verfügung. Am Nachmittag gibt es alles sogar Kaffe, frisch zubereitete vegane Smoothies, Glace, Coupe oder verschiedene Aperogetränke. Speziell fanden wir die Vietnamesischen Gerichte. Es sind sehr frische und leichte Speisen. Auch die Sushikarte ist sehr überzeugend. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne Familie H

Wir haben für Hauslieferung bestellt. Alles gut verpackt und das Essen war zu Hause noch warm. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, sehr nett und hilfsbereit am Telefon beim Hauslieferung bestellen.
