My Döner was delicious (falafel). Staff was super friendly! They offered me free tea for the waiting time and price super fair (9 chf!).

The incredible stuffed aubergines and other vegetables showed us an extra dimension to food, which we never thought possible. Speechless. Staff were very welcoming.

I think this is a nice place for Turkish food very centrally in Basel. I prefer other similar places, but the food is nice, the service is great and the atmosphere is pleasant. Personally, I feel some of the dishes are a little on the expensive side for what they are (e.g. veal kebab meat with salad for 22.-), which is another reason why I go here only rarely.

Pınar is just wonderful, this is coming from a Turk who have tried various Turkish restaurants in Europe and felt disappointed and homesick afterwards. You'll be tasting authentic, delicious Turkish food in Pınar combining various regions of Turkey. They even serve Turkish wine which is rare outside of Turkey: well thought out! The founders and the staff are welcoming and lovely. The portions are generous and fulfilling, see the take away lahmacun-dürüm in the photos below which I've become a fan of ^^° Oh, by the way, if you haven't before, just give Turkish tea a try when you're there.
