Restaurant 45 Grill & Health in Lac Léman (VD)

I am deeply disappointed by the humiliating experience I had this evening at the restaurant. When politely asking if I could order, the waiter replied casually: "I have something else to do, I'll come later..."

The restaurant is located inside the GRAND HOTEL SUISSE MAJESTIC, part of the Marriott chain. Wonderful!! We ate a filet (it can have 3 different sizes) you measure your hunger…but save room for dessert because they are small but delicious and beautiful…. The view from the restaurant is incredible!!!

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. The service is always attentive but not overbearing, the perfect mix. The menu has changed over the years but it has always delivered on quality and price. In the summer in particular, having a table on the terrace and watching the sun set is the winning combination. Situated opposite the station and station car park makes it a great place to catch up with people from outside of Montreux.

A magnificent view of Lake Geneva. We were at the hotel for business purposes. Our lunch was impeccable with fast, pleasant and professional service. The dishes are tasty and visually appealing. Very good address.

Sometimes eating in a hotel restaurant can be a major disappointment. NOT this one. If you visit Montreux and you enjoy fine dining this is an excellent place. The wait staff is excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable. They have a list of sauces with some of the main courses that we had never heard of. We asked for suggestions and they made what would have been a really good meal great! There is a large selection of local wines that you should try. A little pricey but this is Switzerland after all and this was not out of line.

Restaurant with an incredible view! The service is a little disappointing because the customers are passing through so not much effort in terms of reputation. Meat and accompaniments ok but nothing exceptional.

Location and the view of the restaurant are amazing, and the staff is so friendly. The food not that much, we didn't like it, we ordered salmon, shrimp and french fries. The salmon and the shrimp the taste not good and expensive, but the french fries was yummy 😋.

The starter, tartare, is very tasty. For the main course I choose 250g fillet. Unfortunately the meat is so tough that I can't eat it. We have to pour the wine ourselves, the employee doesn't do it. The ambience is great, with a view of the lake.

My husband & I went for early dinner yesterday. We asked the server Francois for recommendations, he was very friendly, he asked if we like meat or seafood, and helping us on the selections, we then ordered Spicy & Solo Rips eye Steak and the dishes were very good! Overall we enjoyed the dinner, service was excellent, foods were good, and the view of the lake was beautiful! It’s recommended!

An unforgettable experience !! We had the pleasure of coming to eat at the restaurant at 45. We were seated on the terrace with a superb view of the lake. We were taken care of by Mr François. He was exemplary. He first recommended the Malakoff and the beef tartare to share. We then, under his recommendation, picked up a bottle of red wine to go with the Chateaubriand. Gorgeous. A big congratulations also to the kitchen for preparing the dishes. Thank you so much. Everything was perfect from A to Z, a big thank you for this welcome. François really gave us a timeless moment. It is with great pleasure that we will return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic, and as part of that stay, we had both dinner and breakfast at 45 Grill & Health. Our time spent at 45 Grill & Health was a food highlight on our week-long trip to Switzerland, and it was a truly wonderful experience. For dinner, we opted to dine on the terrace, overlooking the mesmerizing Lake Geneva with the Alps in the background. As it was a warm night, we were able to enjoy the full meal outdoors, while watching the sunset, it was truly magical. François was our waiter and looked after us for the evening; his service was impeccable and he was both friendly and efficient. We had cocktails to start, which were fabulous, followed by a beautiful bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which I would highly recommend. The food at 45 Grill & Health is simply outstanding. The menu features a variety of grilled meats, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. I started with the stunning duo of steak tartare, which was beautifully seasoned. For my main course, I had a huge grilled duck breast with a variety of sides. The duck was moist and flavorful, and all the accompanying vegetables were also cooked perfectly. We also had a cheese board which was filled with amazing local cheeses, before finishing with dessert. The dessert for me was a highlight - pure chocolate indulgence! Breakfast at 45 Grill & Health was just as good. There was a huge selection of hot dishes, as well as a vast selection of continental meats, cheeses, cereals, and bakery items. A glass of bubbles and enjoying breakfast on their terrace really does make it a memorable start to the day! Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at 45 Grill & Health. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the setting was simply incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Montreux.

François made our experience amazing! It was our first time here at 45. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and he was very helpful so I could have an enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend the artichoke goat cheese au gratin and my husband loved the whiskey butter sauce! He helped my husband pick out a local bottle of wine for us to enjoy as well. As we ate he was very attentive and also answered questions about the area. I don’t think our evening would have been the same without him as our waiter! Thank you François and 45 for an allergy friendly menu!

Delicious food. Very fresh, friendly staff and an overall great service. The morning buffet was plentiful and a lot of choice and the evening dinner menu was very enjoyable. Steaks done the way you like so if you are a fan of blue, I would recommend!

I really loved eating in this magnificent setting, once blessed with refined and tasty cuisine. Unfortunately it's in the past. Today I ate fish accompanied by a sort of tabbouleh and a vegetable garden. All three were frankly tasteless and of the quality of a supermarket restaurant that I won't name. I am perfectly aware of the crisis in our country that the hotel and catering industry is going through in terms of personnel... But here, the drop in quality is not acceptable in my eyes. I very much hope That this situation will change and that the cuisine of the Majestic will regain its former quality.

Went there briefly for a great lunch. The weather cooperated and you could sit on the terrace. The view is awesome! A dream. The service staff is also very professional and courteous. The prices are also really fair for the location. The food was irresistible and a joy to eat. I look forward to eating in your house again soon.

In a restaurant of this quality, it seems to me that a glass of champagne accompanied by an appetizer would be the least nice touch to start a meal. Attention..! Don't stand still

The food - I would give it 5 stars, really. It is decently cooked. But for what it really is, I find it reeeally overpriced. For a dinner with wine we paid almost as much as in a michelin star restaurant. It was good, but not THAT good. The service is lovely. If you don't care about money then it's a great place.

The food was extraordinary, we had a Beef filet with artichoke heart with goat cheese gratin and a red tuna steak with spinach and cream. The service was really kind and fast, the food quality was convincing and a delight. For desert we had a chocolate dome with leaf gold. Have a look at the pictures yourself! We are staying at the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic for three weeks and will be dining here again for sure. Thanks to the staff and looking forward to seeing you next time 😊

Quite expensive but good food and the best part is the view.

We went on a recommendation during our vacation and the truth is that both the food and the place were spectacular. We ordered the house burger and French-style meat, the meat was super tender and juicy and the burger was huge and very delicious too. We encouraged ourselves with a couple of desserts that, although they were not very big, were worth repeating. Highly recommended

A wonderful view! It is quite pricey, but worth it for the quality and the environment. Good tartare and particularly nice salads. Beware - the location on Google Maps currently is misleading - it is in the Grand Hotel Suisse opposite the train station.

Very good service! Beautiful terrace!!

You can see the lovely terrace from the lakeside. Then you seek the entrance and you can't find it... It's because you have to get in through the back, opposite the train station. There's an escalator going up on the left looking at it from the lake. We had a nice meal, many dishes were gluten free for my wife who is coeliac. A bit pricey, but there aren't many terraces like that in Montreux.

Pretty views and very good service. Food was decent but menu was confusing and overall expensive for what you get even by Swiss standards (been in Switzerland for 10 days now).

Very good lunch on a magnificent terrace overlooking the lake.

The view is very pretty and so is the setting. The dishes are good but very simple for the prices charged. The concept of tailor-made dishes (choosing the main dish, the accompaniments, etc.) is not very attractive on the plate which seems less gourmet than a more traditional plate. We haven't really bought into the concept and the prices are rising very quickly. We preferred the previous cards (maybe more than 3 years old). No cocktails at lunchtime according to the waiter, although I seem to have seen a spritz at another table. A little mixed... The coffee is served without a small biscuit, which is a bit surprising for this type of establishment. And the aperitif without anything to snack on. The experience is then a little disappointing even if the salad was good and the fish too.

We ate there last winter for their "La Chasse" menu, it was a marvel, as a former cook I was very pleasantly surprised, the setting is chic, perhaps a little too much, but the Prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants where the quality is well below. A fine wine list is also offered. I recommend 100%.

The card is young and will suit most. The meal itself is a treat and it takes place in a magnificent setting. It's hard not to be amazed by the lake and its mountains. The servers take great care throughout the meal which is very pleasant! In summary, it's a very good table! :-)

Food is okay but service is pretty bad. Waiter refused to double check whether the dish was allergen free (celiac). Montreux palace has much better options and service.

Very nice restaurant. Magnificent setting. The dishes are of high quality, no complaints about that. The price is in relation to this quality and the frame. The service, however, needs to be reviewed. When you leave 500.- for 4, 1 of the 4 ate 2 side dishes so we can consider having consumed for 3, you expect good service. We were thanked in a somewhat crude manner. Especially since the establishment's bar was open. Miss, it would have been professional and cordial to invite us to go to the bar to clear the table. Rather than looking at you and your colleagues behind the glass and taking your courage to tell us “you are the last ones, we want to close”. The manner is fundamental! Please gentlemen manage them. Take professionals when you dare to apply high level prices!

Always a pleasure to dine in this restaurant located in the Suisse Majestic hotel. The place is beautiful and warm. We had a table close to the bay windows which made the place more pleasant with the sunset. The staff is very friendly and the dishes are very good. I opted for the beef Parisienne, it was very tender. We will definitely return.

I used to be a regular customer and came at least once a month to taste their steak tartare which was excellent. They used to serve us fresh bread with homemade butter and tasty olive oil as a starter no matter what you took and the service was always great and pleasant. Unfortunately, I stopped going there as I saw month after month that the service and the quality was getting worse and worse as time went by. I went there again yesterday and I was even more disappointed in seeing they increased their prices drastically and changed their menu for the worse. Now most dishes cost around 50-60 francs and you don't have a regular dish and end up having to order meat, salad, french fries separately. They forgot to bring me butter and have to ask 3 times and I found the staff arrogant and unfriendly. Furthermore, the dish presentation is horrible now and you don't even dare to show it on social media. The view is the only thing that remains pleasant and beautiful today....

Food is okay, the service and location are excellent. We stay at the hotel at least once a year and love it, having breakfast in the same room. Therefore, we were looking forward to eating here. Alas the steak was a bit overcooked and chewy after asking for rare. The Tuna steak seemed small but my wife seemed to enjoy it. We did see a couple next to us have the salad which looked good, so that may be a good option. The service was friendly, the views unbeatable and the atmosphere lovely. Overall, there are probably better valued options in Montreux. An alternative might be to grab an apero on the terrace to enjoy the view.

First discovery of this restaurant during the tasting of our wedding menu. Given that we were able to taste several dishes each time (cold starter, hot starter, main meal and dessert), we were able to get a good idea of ​​this restaurant and the dishes served. There were 6 of us tasting the food and none of us had ever eaten at 45 Grill & Health. All the dishes tasted were more excellent than the others (see photos), we even had difficulty finishing because we wanted to finish everything because it was delicious. We loved this culinary experience, the wines (Swiss Majestic selections) were excellent too. We just had a slight fear that the menu would not be as exquisite for 170 guests (instead of 6). We were worried for nothing, because all the guests loved the menu... thank you for this success!

A perfect smiling service, all your employees are smiling and top-notch, the kitchen is perfect, too bad the service employees inform you that you have to eat quickly because the kitchen closes at 2 p.m. a bit disappointing but that's a marvel for your establishment

Bad experience this Sunday. The service is average for this type of establishment. Was it a bad day? As for the food, nothing exceptional. Indeed, few flavors, exaggerated value for money!! The accompanying puree costs 10chf.... I will not come back!! Totally disappointed. It's hard to say that the reviews a few months ago were positive, which is no longer the case now. The F&B manager must reconsider these points.

Poor mannerism and horrendous customer service. The main issue is with the manager who refused to give us his name, but his middle name/fake name is Gwenldone. He refused to seat us at the area we previously reserved and specified on the porch and insisted that we didn’t show up early enough for a table on the porch, although there were 3 vacant tables available without anyone occupying them and we showed up 30 minutes early. He insisted that he was right and acted in the most childish and arrogant of ways, completely disrespecting us with degrading behaviour. He said and I quote, “I make decision where you’re seated” and that it’s not up to us. We suspect that he was racially discriminating against us because of our visible religious attire and ethnic background. He was pleasant to everyone else except us, despite us being extremely calm and courteous. Please stay away from this establishment at all costs and spare yourselves money and peace of mind elsewhere. It’s not worth it.
