Restaurant Mr.Tenzin. Momos, Sushi & More in Basel

Very large selection of different dishes and the price/performance is right. The food is good, especially momos and sushi are recommended. Unfortunately it was a bit hectic on Sunday evening as they had a lot of online orders.

Really nice service and great Asian food with some fair prices. They give also discount. Really relaxing atmosphere.

Just ordered sushi home Edamame were still ice cold and also smeared with sesame oil (completely inappropriate). We then warmed the edamame, but it didn't work, it wasn't tasty. You couldn't bite through the kingfish, it was so hard (100% not fresh) The sushis with salmon and avocado etc were good. Which is a big negative point: way too much packaging, too much ginger/wasabi, a real shame! Instead of 1-2 large boxes, everything came separately. Also 5 sweet and sour sauces… (since when do you need them for sushi?!)

More than 1.5 hours delivery time! - Never again

Since I ordered the food via delivery service, I can't say anything about the ambience and service, but the sushi I ordered was great

Ordered dinner today (delivery): - ATTENTION: 1h40min waiting time!! Delivered by employee. No tracking via order apps possible. Restaurant can be reached by phone. - Food kept good and warm.

Good Asian restaurant with a varied offering. For Swiss standards, the price range is fair for the location in the center and not overpriced. I ate the Pad Thai and it wasn't bad, but the service was pleasant and made an effort to serve me alone at 5 p.m. Thank you

DO NOT ORDER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - FRAUD I ordered at around 8:00 p.m. I called after 9pm - I was told it was on the way. Now I'm standing in the kitchen at 10 p.m., having spent CHF 36.- and scraping together my dinner from the fridge. FOOD WAS NEVER DELIVERED.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with this delivery service. To start, they were a whopping hour late, leaving me hanging with no way to reach them. The complete absence of any communication or feedback was maddening. But the real kicker was when the food finally arrived. It was like a cruel joke – nothing even remotely resembled what was showcased in the pictures. The sashimi, in particular, was conspicuously absent, and the quality was abysmal. This was undeniably one of the worst food ordering experiences I've ever had. My sincere advice to anyone considering this place: Spare yourself the disappointment and steer clear of their services!

If you order on just eat, there's a good chance it won't come! Disgusting. Lost money!

Good and fresh food especially the sauces, service is okay, ambiente is nice and in a calm area. Dessert was not ordered, but was a delicious add-on at the end. Prices are okay, definitely a place for a quick and easy dinner.

Very good location and zen atmosphere in the restaurant. The waiter was very nice and helped us out with the menu. The food was very tasty and nicely presented, both sushi and momos. Do not hesite to give it a try !

The restaurant ambience is more in line with a typical Swiss meal, but nevertheless very cozy with a Tibetan touch! momos, sushi etc homemade! Top! Prices are also correspondingly good! team super warm, thank you very much! 🙏

Authentic Tibetian momos. I have been craving them for years and finally have the option of gorging on them. :) Highly recommend the classic and if you feel a little adventurous then the Pfannen momos which are served with stir fry veggies and drizzled with teriyaki sauce. Simply amazing.

The quality of the food was great, it's a shame about the catastrophic service and the waiting time. To eat a Thai curry we had to wait more than 40 minutes...that's a lot!!

Everything was very good and the portions were generous. The vegetables were still wonderfully crunchy, the chicken as it should be.

Ordered from Ubereats. Waited 1 hour 40 minutes. The sushi wasn't fresh at all. Avocado sushis were already brown. The main thing is 20 sticks and everything individually in plastic containers... unfortunately I can't give a positive rating and will forego further orders.

The food was delicious and the delivery was on time. However, I am very disappointed that there were two (2) pieces of bone in the minced meat filling of the momos - see photo, I shared the meal with my mother and she had a toothache from biting on it... It's a shame, I won't be ordering from here again .

Popular Power Papaya salad also very, very splendid! 😊 The food (on site) was sooooo delicious that I unfortunately only got the idea to take photos (too) late, sorry! 😅

Food was delicious and totally affordable, the place is lovely in a very central area in Klein Basel, many buses and trams could get you there and you could even walk 5 minutes from the city center. I’ll definite would go back!

First, I must disclose that I am not entirely objective. I have known the owner from Aarau for some time and appreciate him very much. I was very excited about the restaurant in Basel and was very happy with everything. The food, especially the momos, are great and you can't find this excellent quality and selection anywhere else in Basel. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. The momos are a good size and the dough has a pleasant texture. The spicy peanut sauce is not very spicy but packs a punch. You would prefer to have the last bit... (there were second helpings). The team is very attentive and the seating is very comfortable. There were 8 of us and in addition to momos, we also ordered sushi, curries and wok dishes. Everyone thought the food was great and the prices were on the reasonable end for Basel (6 cheese momos with vegetables CHF 17, that's one meal). The lighting conditions in the restaurant could be a little brighter. The menu is very extensive, if you have the choice you will be spoiled for choice; a luxury problem. Mr. Tenzin Basel is definitely worth a visit and a good addition to the local gastronomy.
