Upscale restaurant, highly recommended, but not for low budget customers. Atmosphere, price-performance ratio, food and wine were excellent. Go back there.

was there with my family (incl two kids) for lunch. lovely staff, super attentive and warm. the food was outstanding! we had veal schnitzel and vegan tagliatelle with planted. a perfect experience from beginning to end. a must to try when in the area.

Took the business lunch option. My husband had the beef steak which was extremely tender and yum. The tiny appetizer (salmon with beets) was special. I also like the small sweets at the end.

Great restaurant, great ambience and delicious food. We had dinner with our child on Sunday. The food for our child came quickly and there was also something to draw. Service was nice and competent. The food was very nicely prepared and tasted great. We'd love to come back.

We had a delightful lunch at this restaurant, and we truly appreciated the attentive staff. The wine selection by the glass was outstanding; we chose Swiss Pinot Noir and German Chardonnay. The superb bread served with olive oil enhanced our dining experience. The interior of the restaurant provides an immersive and stunning setting, especially with seating under a glass roof and the captivating wall painting, adding to the overall great dining experience.

Christmas dinner with Grandmummy: Loving service (!) in a dignified restaurant with a good Christmas menu (beef fillet a bit dry, gravlax/cinnamon soup (wife: Nüssli salad)/dessert was excellent in taste and beautifully presented).

A perfect evening! We were a group of 10 people and had a large table in a corner. Very pleasant. The food was super tasty, we got several amuse bouches. Our server Gabriela was fantastic. She was extremely friendly, very professional and laughed a lot with us. We can only recommend this restaurant.

We know the guild hall well. Spontaneously the only option is often the bistro, where you probably don't need any cooks: Just lettuce as a starter. Main meal: Little selection of rather cold, simple cuisine - Chicken nuggets - Club sandwich - Tartar... With the Wiener Schnitzel...for 46,--Chf. A shattered mass of meat was hidden under the hard breading, which was tasteless and tough. Too expensive for performance and offer.

A food adventure! I loved it all. Very interesting and amazingly beautiful. If you like everything and are willing to try something new, then this is your place. Everything was incredible. I’m not a picky eater but desire excellence and they delivered. It was extraordinary! The only odd thing is that they have the ingredients to craft traditional cocktails but don’t seem to know how to make an Old Fashioned and other bar standards. I thought something might be lost in translation.

Wonderful dining experience in a historical setting, yet the restaurant didn't lose its touch on modernizing itself. From the manager to waiters/waitresses, everyone was courteous and kind. The main dishes here today are the white asparagus soup and beef fillet with potatoes. The meal ended with two pieces of sweets, which are not too sweet and on point!

This is a restaurant I visited 3 times during my 3 visits to Basel. Visited Basel 3 times. Also visited this restaurant 3 times.

If I could give 6 stars, I would gladly do so. Extra vegan menu, rich in textures and taste. There is a build-up from the appetizer to the dessert. It was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

By far the best restaurant in Basel city (for me, so far)!

Following our visit to the Kunstmuseum Basel, we were treated to a wonderful lunch here, in the Key Guild in Basel, in the middle of a piece of Basel history. We enjoyed the great ambience in the immediate vicinity of the historic tiled stove in the guild room, as well as the courteous, attentive service and especially the great food. Thank you very much for the wonderful time with you.

Vegetarian strudel as a starter tasted like it had been warmed up in the microwave, chicken breast as a main course was fried until tough, dessert Läckerli with boiled plums tasted like a thawed pre-made product. It's a shame, the shop is nice and the service is friendly.

We Gugge snake catchers played at carnival. It was very great and I would love to do it again.

We had the Valentine's Day menu with wine accompaniment. Price performance was absolutely satisfactory. As always, the service was very friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend the restaurant. At the moment there is scaffolding put up because the glass roof needs to be repaired.

It was quite a surprise that after being on the waiting list for dinner on December 25, a table remained free and we could enjoy this magnificent restaurant. A restaurant where the product and detail are respected at all times. The roasted apple soup paired with Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Kabinett trocken 2020 has been one of the most impressive dishes I have ever had, especially for using a product as modest as the apple and turning it into a delicatessen. The atmosphere of the restaurant is unique with its tiled stove and all the history that surrounds the building. Our waiter spoke Spanish and it was very nice to learn details about the history of the restaurant. A place to return, without a doubt.

The best restaurant I have visited so far. I always have something to complain about, but it was also very well seasoned. The ingredients were very nicely presented. What I've never seen before is that the chef came to every table at the very end and asked how it tasted. Simply fantastic, I'd love to come back

Service and ambience top. We had our business lunch. None of us thought the food was particularly special. E.g. You would have to look for the sauce on the nut salad and the diced ham was dry and somewhat burnt. The vegetables as a side dish tasted like nothing and were soggy. It's a shame, we were disappointed and expected something different for these prices. Unfortunately not recommended.

I was here for lunch yesterday, as I have done so many times before. But somehow it was different. The waitress was very impatient with the order. When we ordered, the wrong menu came for me, so I had to wait again for the food. When we weren't so happy to accept this, the waiter offered us coffee, which made us very happy. We both ordered an Expresso, but when we paid we were just perplexed: WE ACTUALLY HAD TO PAY FOR THIS EXPRESSO...there are no words to it... ...I will probably take my foreign guests to another restaurant in the future. A pity!

I came on a business trip and couldn't eat dinner fully. I found a Swiss restaurant among many foreign foods around me and found it here. I took out the recommended mushroom gnocchi and the staffs were very kind and warm. Food comforted me in my long and hard day. This place was really perfect.

Wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely amazing, large portions of high quality ingredients cooked to perfection. We had the pumpkin soup with lemongrass for starter and the Veal Basel style (with liver and sweetbread) and the Tenderloin steak, with Rosti, potato salad and a green salad of fresh lettuce leaves as our sides. All sauces and sides were just delicious. Service and restaurant vibes were all very enjoyable.

Great quality food! We ordered their set menu and they came with different degrees of flavor and strength. They have menu for vegetarians or pescetarians as well! I went there three times on special occasions especially with friends and families when they have their birthdays. The staff were very friendly and made sure to chat with us. Were in the key guild for the first time... The restaurant is so special, you can't even tell from the outside that it has such great rooms... The staff is always great for a bit of fun... Very helpful and accommodating... The food was very tasty and very nicely prepared... Unfortunately you could smell the toilet upstairs at the entrance before you went down the stairs... I thought it was a shame... That's why I deducted one star...

A Bistro menu unworthy of such an establishment. Incompetent service, a Chef who only greets his acquaintances and friends, a detestable atmosphere between servers. An address to avoid and a closure with a complete change of MANAGEMENT to be desired as soon as possible.
