An incredibly good and friendly restaurant. The food was great and the wines were a sensation. The ambience is clear and simple, so that you can fully concentrate on the aromas that are served in the plate and glass. Perfect for discovering new things, especially when it comes to wines.

Tastes very good and something new. The food came quickly, but unfortunately the venison schnitzel was very tough for 2 out of 5 people, which can happen. I will definitely come by again.

La Fourchette... The food and drinks here are prepared to a high standard and served quickly. The dishes are finely balanced and taste great to me. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is difficult to beat in Basel. I would love to come back to your restaurant if I have the opportunity.

A culinary highlight in the city of Basel. The food is seasonal and local and perfectly combined and seasoned. Great natural wines and top service. All of this at a very fair price. It was a pleasure!

Excellent menu with small but consistently thoughtful, light and very harmonious and precisely executed, French-inspired dishes which, get by without any concealing frills and are conjured up by a one-woman show from a tiny kitchen. The wide selection of open natural wines fit the concept very well and are complemented by warm and honest hospitable service. One of the best restaurant experiences in a long time and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity you get.

Great respect for the achievements of Laetitia and Valentin, who run this restaurant all by themselves. The Persian beef ragout with rhubarb was a revelation, dandelion tempura a novelty.

Lovely restaurant with high quality creations and ingredients. The new menu (new owners) is based on small dishes that you can share -or not! They also have the tasting menu option including all dishes on the menu for a very interesting price. You should be quite hungry for that one, though! The place is lovely and they also offer their own preserves to bring home.

French-influenced bistro cuisine - you can't get it anywhere else in Basel!

It was perfect as always. Best, fresh ingredients and delicious dishes made with passion. Great wine suggestions as well. I would go there again for any dinner occasion.

For me, La Fourchette is the first address for French food. Rather expensive in terms of price range. Given the quality of the food and raw ingredients, the beautiful presentation and the general attention to detail, it is again very affordable. The staff is also very friendly. Or to put it another way: I've probably never had a real Croque Monsieur until I ate the one from la Fourchette. Even the bread is homemade. The homemade kombucha is also no comparison to the competition.

Went there with 2 friends for Sunday brunch. The place is nice and cozy. However, the food and drinks was not as expected. The coffee was very watery and tasteless. Foodwise, we found it extremely overpriced for the amount and quality. The dishes are very small and highly priced. The order was mixed up and we ended up getting different things than what we ordered, but the second time we just ate it to not complain more. Some of the things we ordered didn't even come. We payed 50CHF per person. We will not come back.

Descubrimos que el restaurante ofrece cenas para llevar durante el encierro y decidimos probar Karlfreitag; nos alegramos mucho de haberlo hecho :) Compartimos el ragú de cordero, que era fantástico, y el knodel con remolacha de espinacas, que también estaba muy sabroso. El personal fue muy educado y agregó un toque muy cálido con el Ostereier "sorpresa" que pusieron en nuestra bolsa para llevar. Los precios eran más que honestos para la calidad de la comida. Esperamos volver para una comida adecuada, hasta entonces, ¡seguro que volveremos a ordenar para que lo recojan!

Met my sister here for dinner, exciting atmosphere but no waiting. Lots of different food choices to select out of the menu, amazing. Affordable menu prices, would definitely visit here once again. My brother was around so we came here for supper, superb food And atmosphere. The waiters here were essentially professional and obviously like their work.

La Fourchette ist eine erholsame Oase. Die liebevoll gekochten Speisen aus saisonalen und regionalen Bio-Produkten schmecken wunderbar und die Inszenierung des Essens gleicht einem Schlaraffenland. Bei meinem letzten Besuch war ein Bild von Toni Ungerer Inspirationsquelle für das Menus. Phantastisch!

They should be shamed to serve you such meals. And it pretends to be a french Restaurant. For sure in France they will laugh, and this Place will not long survive. And for such price! First and Last time i eat there. And the bonus is that the owner who knows that it was my birthday (my patner made the reservation and told her) talked to every of my guests, but not me. Strange! And the waiter brought my dessert with a candle to my guest and not me, more than Strange. Never felt wellcome. Everything is wrong in this place. Don‘t waste your money for such a disaster! Never felt so Bad in a Restaurant as here. Never, Never absolutly Never again!

Disfrutamos de una deliciosa comida casera de estilo francés. El chef explicó los platos en francés y la camarera fue muy amable. Disfrutamos de una sopa de crema de manzana y apio, salat de queso de cabra caliente con naranja, pommegranade y zanahorias y para el plato principal disfrutamos hackbraten, que es un pastel de carne de res y cerdo cocinado y servido con puré de papas y estaba delicioso!

Optisch sieht das Essen Perfekt aus aber auch im Geschmack ein richtiger Gaumenschmaus! Bedienung sehhhr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Küche sprengt ganz klar die Gastro-Szene in Basel! Nirgends gibt es so gutes Essen in BIO dynamischer Form inkl. Wein! Empfehlung für alle Feinschmecker. Meine lieben Veganer bitte schon beim reservieren Bescheid sagen!

Delicious dinner and very nice cozy atmosphere. The menu only had a few options but what they prepared for us was outstanding!

L‘endroit est magnifique et la décoration superbe. Nous voulions boire un café á 18.00 et avons demandé si cela était possible. Réponse positive, mais après 25 minutes, une des serveuses est venue débarrasser notre table sans un mot ... alors que juste 2 autres tables étaient occupées ... c‘est malhonnête. En plus le cappuccino ( à 5,50) n’était pas du tout bon.

Das la fourchette ist eine kleine und gemütliche Beiz in einer weniger bürgerlichen Umgebung. Das verleiht ihr einen Charme den sie sonst wohl nicht hätte. Es gibt kaum ein Dutzend Tische, so dass sich schnell eine vertraute Atmosphäre bildet. Die Küche ist auf frische Zutaten und ehrliche Zubereitung gerichtet - nicht ein raffiniertes Gourmet Niveau, aber nie eine Enttäuschung. Die Kürbiscreme war die Empfehlung wert, die und hierher gebracht hat.

Was das Team von La Fourchette macht, ist einfach lecker. Diese kleine Lokal ist eines meiner Lieblinge. Es wird alles frisch und mit viel Leidenschaft gekocht.

Das Fourchette an der Klybeckstrasse im Kleinbasel ist seit seiner Eröffnung Ende 2014 ein kulinarischer Traum. Hier kann man erleben, wie es sich anfühlen muss, eine französische Grossmutter zu haben, die gerne ihre traditionellen Gerichte variiert und Gaumen verzaubern kann. Empfehlenswert sind Fenchel/Zitronensalat, Vol au Vent (Pastetli), Poulet, Tarte au citron und andere Süssigkeiten. Die Weinkarte enthält spannende Überraschungen. Die Küche ist saisonal und raffiniert, die Einrichtung ist handverlesen und Personal und Gäste gut gelaunt. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Wir waren am Flughafen Basel Mulhouse, um einen GAst asu Grossbritannien abzu holen. Wir waren früh dran und wollten einen Kaffe konsumieren. Das Angebot und die auswahl im La Fourchette Suisse ist sehr klein und und haben stolze Preise. Die Qualität der konsumierten Waren ist im hinteren Mittelfeld. Die Dame hinter dem Buffet versteht zwar etwas Deutsch, jedoch an einem internationalen Flughafen im Grenzgebiet mit vielen Deutsch - Sprechenden Gästen nicht gut, da Missverständnisse vorprogrammiert sind.

Très bon restaurant qui sert des plats très raffinés, très bien présentés. Les plats proposés ne sont pas nombreux, ce qui est un excellent indice de qualité. Les desserts sont à tomber. J'y retournerai souvent, d'autant plus que les prix sont très corrects au vu de la qualité.Bravo à toute l'équipe qui se démène pour que tout soit parfait !

Ich war schon zweimal am wunderbaren Brunch. Die Auswahl ist fantastisch, die Produkte frisch und lokal, das Ambiente originell und schön. Auch Abends war ich schon mehrmals im La Fourchette und fand das Essen immer sehr gut und kreativ zubereitet. Die Mitarbeiterinnen vom Service wirken manchmal etwas verträumt, aber es passt zum Gesamtbild: irgendwie ist es mitten in Basel eine andere Welt...

Ich kam mit einem Freund zum Mittagessen. Überraschung: In heutigem "Chic" und modernem Design strahlt dieser Ort den Charme vergangener Zeiten aus, das Echte, nicht "alt gemacht". Stellen Sie das Mittagsmenü ein, sehen und fühlen und schmecken Sie echte "hausgemachte Speisen". Sehr schön.

Frisches und sehr leckeres Essen in einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre. Ein kreativer Brunch (nicht 08/15) mit ausgezeichneter Käse Auswahl, warmen Speisen, knusprigem Brot und selbstgemachten Kuchen. Die Liebe zum Detail ist im ganzen Lokal spürbar. Einfach wundervoll. Die kompetente und freundliche Bedienung ist die Krönung. Phantastisch und der Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt.

Ich war mit einem Freund zum Mittagessen hier. Sie haben normalerweise 2 3-Gang-Menüs zur Auswahl - eines mit Fleisch / Fisch und ein reines Vegi. Die Gerichte sind einfach, aber mit einem gewissen Twist, und der Geschmack ist aufgrund der hohen Qualität der Zutaten rein und intensiv. Alle Backwaren sind hausgemacht und sehr zu empfehlen!Der Ort ist gut für Mittag- und Abendessen sowie für ein Kaffee-Meeting zwischendurch. Dort ist Kaffee außergewöhnlich und stammt von einem kleinen Kaffeehersteller in Basel, der direkt mit den Kaffeebauern zusammenarbeitet.Das Interieur hat einen sehr schönen französischen Retro-Charme und das Personal gibt Ihnen das Gefühl, sehr willkommen zu sein.

Wunderschönes kleines Restaurant. Vom Cremant bis zum Dessert eine wunderbare Erfahrung. (Es gibt übrigens immer ein vegetarisches Gericht. Unseres war exzwllent.)

Dieses Restaurant war reizend. Schickes, aber gemütliches Interieur. Freundlicher Kellner. Begrenzte Auswahl an Essen, aber oh, so lecker! Tolles vegetarisches Essen und auch ein wunderbares Fleischgericht. Nicht teuer für Basel. Total zu empfehlen!

Das La Fourchette bietet regionales, ausgewähltes, sorgfältig und lecker zubereitetes Essen in einem wunderschön eingerichtetem Lokal mit viel Ambiente. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Es lohnt sich und wir werden den Besuch definitiv wiederholen :)

Sehr, sehr guter Brunch an jeden ersten Sonntag im Monat. Superauswahl an Schweizer und französischen Hart- und Weichkäsen. Viele verschiedene Brotsorten und Süssgebäck. Service tadellos und sehr freundlich.

Wir wollten an einem schönen Sonntagmorgen spontan einen Kaffee trinken und etwas Kleines essen. Draussen gab es noch einen leeren Tisch auf dem ein Zettel lag. Dort stand auf englisch, dass man drinnen bestellen müsse. Drinnen wurde mir ausführlich erklärt, dass es eigentlich keinen Kaffee gäbe sondern man sich gerade zwischen 2 Runden befinde. Wenn man auf der Webseite schaut, weiss man worum es geht. Nicht aber als normaler Gast. Man kann am Sonntag nur brunchen, muss reservieren und sich an die Zeiten für die Runden halten - das habe ich verstanden. Schliesslich bekamen wir netterweise doch Kaffee und Laugengipfel. Eigentlich hätte ich es selber nach draussen tragen müssen. Angesichts der Türe wurde mir dann doch geholfen.Fazit: sehr nett, aber anstrengend. Nichts für Spontane am Sonntag.

Super feiner Sonntagsbrunch mit regionalen Produkten und einem leicht orientialischem Touch (Kichererbsensalat, Hummus...)! Die Quiche war bombenmässig! Kommen gerne wieder. Der Preis beinhaltet ein Glas Prosecco, Orangensaft, Wasser und ein Warmgetränk. Schön wäre es wenn im Preis von 45.- noch ein zweites Warmgetränk dabei wäre. Wir hätten gerne zum Kuchen noch ein Espresso getrunken! Ansonsten gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden!

@jp weingartner: Wenn Sie dem Migros Restaurant im Dreispitz 5 Sterne verleihen, la Fourchette dagegen mit Kleinlichkeiten bashen, dann ist Ihre Kritik wohl nicht wirklich ernst zu nehmen.

ich bewundere den stil, die art und weise und die lässigkeit. savoir vivre mit minimaler speise- und getränkekarte zu preosen, die sich auch schweizer studenten nicht leisten könnrn, war auch keiner anwesend! trotz dem légère kann ein einwandfreier service verlangt werden. weineinschank nicht am tisch und nicht in einem nicjt geeichten glas und einem nichtgeeichtes 1dl auf den tisch. (gesetzeswidrig in CH) beim nachbarn ein glas wein aus zwei flaschen bei 8 euro cl! frische küche wo der teller nach bestellung in 3 minuten auf dem tisch steht, da stimmt was nicht. kellner mehr mit der köchin und seinem getränk beschäftigt als mit den gästen.... Der wille ist da, aber es gibt noch viel zu tun!

Une expérience remarquable dans un lieu hors du commun, pour ce restaurant en Ville de Bâle ! Quelle agréable attention de la part de la cuisinière, de m'avoir spécialement préparé de délicieuses galettes de sarrasin à la courge et au chèvre. Tous les produits utilisés sont évidemment frais et préparés avec grand soin chaque jour (ça se sent!). Je recommande ce restaurant à toute personne qui souhaite se rendre à Bâle et vivre une expérience culinaire authentique. Un grand MERCI à toute l'équipe de "la Fourchette". Ne changez rien, c'est parfait !

What a warm n friendly place. The lunch menu is in German but the staff is very patient to translate for you. I got this tasty dish of minced meat with mashed potatoes topped with a thin layer of golden cheese. Salad on the side. Totally recommended.

Il locale è molto grazioso, il personale gentile e premuroso, piacevole l’atmosfera. A dispetto del nome del locale e del menù, scritti in francese, nessuno parla francese.Il menù è composto di pochissimi piatti. Ieri sera c’erano 3 antipasti, tra cui una zuppa, e 2 piatti principali: coniglio con carote e purè e uovo in camicia con cereali e legumi. Più numerosi i dessert.La qualità dei piatti è stata modesta, non cattiva, ma a mio avviso la cucina è un’altra cosa.Conto: 1 coniglio, 1 uovo, 1 dolce, 1 birra, acqua e 1 bicchiere di vino bianco= 75 CHF che, poiché non accettano carte di credito e noi non avevamo moneta locale, sono diventati 75 Euro, con cambio 1 a 1.

Bestes Handwerk – fein und einfach. Sympathische Gastgeberinnen in einem rundum gemütlichen Lokal mitten im Kleinbasel. Frische Zutaten, auserlesene Weine, göttliche Gebäcke. Und ein interessantes Schaufenster raus auf die Klyberckstrasse, wo (fast) immer was läuft.

Ich fühle mich wie in der Küche meiner Grossmutter. Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Gute Kuchen.

Super leckere französische Küche mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Gehe sehr gerne und regelmässig dort essen.

Das Lokal präsentiert sich leger-alternativ. Für das Mittagessen konnten wir zwischen 3 Angeboten wählen, preislich zwischen CHF 17.- und 21.50-. Das Hachis parmentier und auch die Galette sarrasin waren ausgezeichnet, beide begleitet von einem feinen Salat. Bedienung sehr nett. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Wir kommen wieder.

Great place with passionate people

Went here for breakfast and a coffee one Saturday morning after a friend recommended it. The place was busy with mostly locals and had a good not-too-hipster vibe. The staff were friendly enough, but seemed a bit stressed for seasoned pro's - the cappuccino was rushed out from what I saw and the milk was done too hot and thin - ended up more like a local schale than a good cappuccino/flat white I'd expected. No time for bad coffee so I haven't been back.

Ich war zum Zmittag da und vollauf begeistert. In meinem Freundeskreis kursierte die Meinung es handle sich um ein Brunchlokal. Dem ist nicht so. Die Karte ist klein und fein. Die Portion so dass man danach noch nicht zu voll ist um von den wunderbaren Kuchen zu versuchen.

Die Auswahl ist nicht gross aber (oder deshalb) von vorzüglicher Qualität. Das Angebot ist originell und wer was besonderes essen möchte ist hier gut bedient.
