The best food that we had in Switzerland was here! I had the sole and my husband had the steak. The crepes were divine. We were able to sit by the window and watch the sunset.

One of the nicest restaurants we visited in the kingdom overlooking the river. We got shrimp pasta salads and lamb chops, a bottle of wine. we paid 480 Swiss francs. It is gourmet category, and the prices are bitten but it is worth a meal there.

I felt very comfortable in the pleasant and well-kept ambience of the brasserie, even as a single guest. The Gérant, as well as the waiters, were very attentive and courteous. The recommended courses, starter, main course and dessert were excellent and the wine was also very suitable. The Chariot de Dessert is a feast for the eyes... A very nice evening!

90th birthday We celebrated our mother and grandmother's 90th birthday at Les Trois Rois. After the aperitif in the beautiful lobby of the hotel, where she was personally greeted and congratulated by Mr. Clarinval, we were able to enjoy a wonderful menu in the brasserie. But not only were the food and wine excellent, but also the very courteous and friendly service from everyone, especially Mr. Kal Kleber, left nothing to be desired. My mother even received a beautifully written birthday card with a birthday cake and a candle, signed by everyone. She was very happy about it and was able to fully enjoy her birthday party. We were invited by friends to the Brasserie Les Trois Rois. The service and operation are top notch 👍🏼 This Saturday evening the brasserie was fully booked to the last seat. Accordingly, the noise level was relatively high. We missed the greeting from the kitchen, but you are given the starter (beef tartare) to try - very much appreciated 😉 At this point we asked for more spiciness and cognac, which we couldn't taste while eating. For the main course we ordered monkfish and cordon bleue with truffle. The fish was sensational, we wouldn't order the cordon bleue again (for CHF 70, the price-performance ratio wasn't right). The wine recommendation and the dessert selection were top ✅ We were able to spend a very nice evening with friends at Tois Rois. Many thanks to the Chef de Service & Staff. Gladly again 👋

It was a great pleasure to eat in the brasserie. We chose the four course menu, which was very well prepared. From the service to the quality of the food, everything was perfect. Unfortunately, a star has to be deducted because the first course only arrived about 30-35 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately there was no greeting from the kitchen, as is usual. Maybe something has changed there. All in all, it was an interesting culinary experience, as you can easily see from the pictures. We definitely recommend the brasserie and would be happy to come back. We would like to thank you very much for the competent and detailed advice regarding the food and the accompanying wine or recommendation.

As part of an overnight stay Breakfast was a disaster: ham dried on the edge, sausage selection poor. Salmon was not refilled; after 10 minutes and repeated requests, 10 rolls of salmon arrived. The cheese selection, however, was excellent.

Lovely place, very tasty food and super delicate plates, we had to wait maybe a little too long for the main course but it was worth it.

The food is very good, fine, tasty. Nice location, stylish and expensive. Unfortunately the service is pretty disastrous. We had to wait 40 minutes after the main course and were ignored until we lost our desire for dessert. During the main course we were asked if we wanted more bread, we said yes please, but the bread stopped coming. It was also not possible to transfer the bill to the bar, even though the bar employees did it immediately. All in all, it's tasty here, but absolutely not worth the money. In Basel there are better traditional restaurants with comparable cuisine and better service.

My clients visit this restaurant, I have been there several times. The reception, the Valet Parking service are always exceptional. I will be back.

Service was so bad it could have been a comedy. 45 minutes wait for table, served the wrong food, admitted that they on purpose served us a particularly small piece of cake for the full price, lost items in cloakroom.

Magnificent setting, typical brasserie service combining elegance and relaxation. The dishes are delicious and the wine list leaves you speechless; the selection of champagne is particularly careful. The only downside: why serve New Zealand lamb or non-European beef, or why farmed char? In Switzerland and in the middle of Europe, there would however be plenty to find interesting sources.

The meal was excellent The atmosphere is old, a bit shabby (candlesticks or old furniture) and the interior decorator has smoked something, or who is hanging a cute blue picture on a dark green wall. There is also old dark furniture in the bar, but the light wood wine cabinet drawers don't fit there. I expect more for the first house in Basel with a corresponding price

It is such a lovely experience to have tea time at Les Trois Rois. For sure, it ain't cheap, but staff is very attentive, you enjoy comfy chairs with a view over the Rhine and there is enough delicious food and unlimited tea to fill your belly. Go for it if you haven't done it yet!

The pre-set lunch menu is also a great value, offering a taste of the restaurant's signature dishes at a more affordable price point.

I was Yesterday around 17 pm there and we waited to drink something. The first person say to us that we can wait until a table is free . After 10 -15 minutes , another person came and say that if we want , we can share a table with another persons and is not freeplace table after. We waited for nothing there ! You can have lot of stars but if they don t know how to comport with clients , is bad for them because they lose clients like that !!! This was very rude !!!

Res. company for 10 people, table was forgotten. We stood around in the entrance and in front of the brass for 3/4 hours, then led into a basement room past the kitchen(s). There was sparse light in the room, but we were given lots of candles. The room has a beautiful exposed brick ceiling. The brunch dishes were good, but everything that should have been warm wasn't. Justification the distance from the kitchen has just been a long way. After further warm food has been prepared in the nearby k. When it was moved, the food was only slightly warmer. Although the guests got 1 voucher. f. received 2 champagne cups as an excuse, I didn't find this brunch to be Trois Rois-like.

Everything was just perfect - the food, the wine, the staff and the view!!! The joue de veau was very tasty and served in a great portion. We will definitely come back. :)

Not your typical casual French Brasserie, this is an elegant Restaurant with high end food and excellent, a bit formal, service. Book by the window if possible, make sure you pass by the old style classy Bar of the Hotel first, it's beautiful!!!

After our stay at the Basel Autumn Fair, we wanted to enjoy a coffee with a view and chose this restaurant. That was a very successful decision. Many thanks to the staff who were in front of the hotel, the lady who welcomed us, accompanied us to a seat and to the service staff. Everyone was very, very friendly. An absolute gorgeous and mind blowing destination and probably it’s needless to say while you notice it being a part of a famous and historic 5-star hotel as well as having 3 Michelin stars rated. Very welcoming and friendly staffs. Scrumptious food options with nice variety. Nice and gorgeous interior. In the heart of the city, just by the river Rhine. Also, we will say decently affordable even after considering the star rated! Highly recommended 👍🏼

Sunday brunch. I was told on the phone that there was a buffet. There wasn't. Service slow, not very attentive with limited knowledge of German. The selection of dishes is rather modest considering the price. Rather disappointing compared to the normal offerings and service in the brasserie.

Wonderful food in a very pleasant atmosphere. We were lucky enough to enjoy a great evening with friends on a beautiful summer evening with a view of the Rhine with the window open. Classic brasserie menu, with prices in the upper segment. However, the price/performance ratio is right. The only thing that could be adjusted down a bit is the wine list. Unfortunately, there are almost no red wines under 140 and the fact that a chocolate block is sold for a good 150 francs (purchase around 30 francs) is unfortunately over the limit. Otherwise, it's really a top address in Basel and we'd love to come back!

We went to the brasserie for Sunday brunch because we were given brunch for our wedding. Unfortunately, the buffet was no longer available and the selection was greatly reduced. For us personally, the selection was too little (e.g. only one egg dish, only citrus fruits, little cheese...) for the high price level. The service was good, but didn't mention when I declined the champagne that an alternative was possible. By chance, another waitress pointed out the alternative to me. It would be appropriate to mention the alternative on the brunch menu. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right for us and we would not recommend the brunch (as it is now). This situation is also disappointing for the friend who gave us the brunch, as he had paid the full price for the "large" brunch that was not yet "a la carte" and, knowing about the quality and selection (of the previous buffet), gave us this wanted to give an experience.

Delightful. A good way to express how succulent the food was would be to tell you this : as the first dish had just been served and been described to us by the waitress, my friends and I resumed our discussion. I took the first bite, and instantly lost track of what the conversation was about. As a matter of fact, the three of us did, and the exchange that superseded it was something like: ".... Oh wow!" "I was about to say the same thing". As for the service, it was impeccable: ever present at the right time, professional yet friendly, that made the diner a truly enjoyable experience.

Wonderful selection and perfect service. I appreciate their accommodating my only English speaking ability. Hint: arrive early or late or make reservation for window seating. The caviar service is well done. The lamb was prepared perfectly. But the risotto is something you want to try here.

There are different reasons why you might want to visit this upscale restaurant: you could come for the view of the Rhine River, for the French brasserie food or the service. You wouldn't be disappointed in any case. Great place for a romantic dinner. The dress code is business casual. Prices for main dishes are in the 50-60 CHF range. The restaurant is smoke- and cellphone free.

Splendid setting on the banks of the Rhine and succulent dishes. It goes without saying that the reputation of the establishment precedes it and that one ends up there not by chance. Impeccable service, more relaxed atmosphere than at Cheval Blanc. In short, a very nice Basel address! Highly recommend the brunch (reserve several weeks or even months in advance for special dates). Some will complain about the somewhat expensive price (145 euros for the Champagner Brunch), but that is the price of an exceptional experience.

A must-have for lovers of elegance and finesse. Special mention for the cigar lounge at the end of the afternoon, a charming, classic and very popular place. Perfect service.

Excellent cuisine on the banks of the Rhine. A chic brasserie, of course, in a luxury Basel location but the atmosphere remains relaxed with attentive service. A delicious lobster bisque and a roasted apple that is well worth the crepes suzettes if you can't find your partner for this dessert.

Disappointing In anticipation of celebrating my birthday, we booked a table in the brasserie. The unforgettable culinary experiences in the Cheval Blanc made us curious to get to know the rooms and especially the cuisine of the brasserie. We really liked the redesign, the great art and, above all, the ambience that evening. But that was it. Now just to summarize: Oysters Great Champagne Excellent but way too expensive Pasta with fresh truffles (white): pasta cooked through, cream sauce watery and no taste. Truffles were already sliced ​​on in the kitchen and stuck to the warmed edge of the plate. (Why not plan freshly next to the guest) The truffle in the bell jar shown at the beginning was not used.!? ……38 .- Lobster soup: lukewarm, the layer of small pieces of lobster cut into small pieces was ice cold. …….28.- Langoustine Grilled with Risotto: 3 except for the tail, peeled crustaceans lukewarm Intestines not removed (the intestines pulled out of the animal when eating) Risotto cooked lukewarm and salted. The whole thing for 68.-!!!! Finally, dessert for 2 people It was super tasty and freshly prepared in front of us But proud 68.- The whole stay was disappointing with no respect for the really great and fresh goods. The implementation in the kitchen is simply embarrassing for a house like this and probably takes too long for the food to arrive because the food I was accompanying (menu) also arrived warm or even cold. And unfortunately also far too expensive I would deduct 5 from the 15 GaultMillau points 378.- francs for 2 people (although my main course was already deducted 68.-) for 2 people (1 menu and 1x free choice of the menu with a cheap rose wine which costs 20.50 at the Coop and is sold here for 65.-. You should think through the concept for a moment Or ask your colleague what you can improve no thank you

Yesterday the two of us went to the Brasserie Trois Rois for Christmas dinner. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time - service, food, wine pairing, atmosphere and price/performance! We both had the 4-course menu and then went to the cigar lounge.

An incredibly classy atmosphere. The great restoration has - which is rare - preserved the old substance and thus the ambience. You can still order food at the bar at 10 p.m. Beer by the glass! Fireplace! Quality all around excellent, service soigné. 86 CHF for 2 large beers and a beef steak tartare isn't cheap, of course, but if you're a connoisseur who wants to do yourself a special favor later in the evening after a long day at work (with well-paid overtime), this is the right place for you.

We couldn't book the Cheval Blanc even weeks before we left the for Switzerland, so we go for the next best: The Brasserie Les Trois Rois. And it was insane! The food was just out of this world and the service was impeccable. Yes, it's pricy, but compared to some of the so-called Michelin star restaurants in SF, this is so much better. It is truly a French culinary experience every bite, from beginning to the end. The beef tartar was just amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant, and hope to get a seat at the Cheval Blanc in my future visits.

Recently we celebrated my mom‘s birthday at the restaurant Brasserie Les Trois Rois who as usually did their best ensuring great experience! We got a personal greeting and a wonderful window table! As we were a group of 8, I was asked to inform regarding the menu choice in advance which I found a bit surprising at first (as I might change my mind) however when we arrived we were provided menu choice and the friendly personnel member explained that he would prefer to allow us to choose again which we greatly appreciated as we did indeed change our mind for certain dishes. Towards end of the dinner, my mom got a Birthday cake and a card signed by all members- so touching!! The restaurant is elegant and kids friendly - we enjoyed our visit (as usually) and coming back again soon!

Outrageously expensive, pretentious restaurant. The menu is undoubtedly high scale, as is the staff's livery and the silverware, but the dishes do not justify in any way the price tag. Besides, at that level of price, the service should have been pristine, which is far from the case: misplacing the starters and entrees around the table, dropping a plate are not tolerable at that supposed level of quality. Finally, the desserts are largely sub-par. Not for gastronomes, not even for foodies, just fit for local or visiting aristocracy wanting to see and be seen.

Die Brasserie des Trois Rois ist ein idealer Ort, um die Welt um sich herum einmal für 2 Stunden zu vergessen.Bei traumhaftem Blick auf den Rhein und sein Treiben wird man von sehr distinguiertem, aber niemals aufgesetzt wirkendem Personal extrem aufmerksam und höflich verwöhnt. Die Hummerbisque ist in ihrer Konsistenz und ihrem Geschmack ein Gedicht, die überaus grosse Portion Tartar perfekt auf Wunsch zubereitet und die Rotweinsauce zum Rinderfilet meiner Begleitung hinreissend. Dass die Chefin am Ende noch persönlich an den Tisch kommt und dem Geburtstagskind zusammen mit dem Oberkellner ein „Happy Birthday“ singt, kam so unerwartet wie rührend und liess unser montägliches Mittagessen zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden.

Die Küche ist unglaublich gut! Ganz fein alles zusammengestellt und abgeschmeckt, wie man es sonst so gut wie nie - wo auch immer! - antrifft!

The most beautiful place in Switzerland and you feel at home you don't want to leave

We had a bit dissapointing experience with them. We booked a table monthes ago for an important event. Because of the change of corona regulation, their situation went unclear, so we contacted them repeatedly. Finally after two days they reached us, and explained their situation. We wanted to take our time to consider, weather it is possible to reduce the participants number or so. But the restaurant tried to convince us to decide in two days to sell the table to other group. We understand, they might have difficult time because of Covid-19, but it dissapoints us against the expectation for a good rated restaurant.
