Speck Genuss AG in Zug

As a young "Bebbi" I visited Cham on Lake Zug every year and enjoyed Zug cherry cake. It was hard for something to get stuck 🤗 and unfortunately it was only after more than 30 years that I tried to have a Zug cherry cake delivered from you by post to Basel for the first time. WOUW, even though I thought it would fail in the mail, I received the cake in perfect condition. I kept trying a slice from the region, but no one can really match your excellent cake... ehhh "a match" 😋 Great and a big thank you for offering this service with shipping. Lovely again!

Nice restaurant, unfortunately impersonal

Black Forest cake was fine. The cake had a thin, crispy sponge cake base that I had never seen before. I didn't think the combination was bad, but the floor was too dry for my friend. Lots of original confectionery, for example, to give away. Production in the basement, can be partially viewed. Minus 1⭐️: Service or the lady at the counter wasn't really in a good mood.

Very good choice of lunch menu. Perfect salad buffet. Don't forget to try a Speckli.

I would prefer not to give a star at all. The service was very unfriendly and condescending. I will avoid the store in the future.

What a great experience!! Loved seeing how traditional Swiss bakery and chocolat craftspersonship is made!! The coffee is super cute! While having a delicious coffee and a typical Kirschtorte one can what how their delicious art pieces are made!!! If you come by foot or car make sure to not follow google maps since it will take you to the private parking lots. There are also vegan and vegetarian food options! The café is accessible from the entrace to the second floor and the bathrooms downstairs :)

A place of pilgrimage not only for lovers of Zug cherry cake. The glass bakery, the café and, above all, the baked goods invite you to visit. We gladly accepted the offer and tried the cherry cake and the cherry cream cake and were thrilled. Friendly, well-trained staff behind the counter and in the bakery.

The location is cozy and it's a great thing that you can look into the production. However, the milk in the latte macchiato is made from UHT. Because the drink is dispensed by the machine at the push of a button. I think it's a shame, at a price of CHF 6.- That's where barita pride goes. The rolls are extremely small and everything is overpriced! You shouldn't take the brunch anyway, as it's really bland. It's a shame, because the products would otherwise be very good. Unfortunately it's a rip-off...

very poor customer service Dear bacon team We are over on Wednesday January 18th, 2023 13:15 been with you. There was a back and forth with the waitress. At first I wanted to order something at the counter, then the saleswoman said that the order can only be made at the table. She saw that we were there with our 16 month old daughter. Nobody cared whether we had already received a children's chair or whether the order had already been made. We are very disappointed that a well-known bakery like Speck has not trained its employees better. It's just a shame as bacon fans that the employee is not satisfied because of incompetence, that we still have to consider whether it's worth spending money with you if the service doesn't correspond to the prices you charge. If the employees are not happy then you are in the wrong job.

Highly priced for a bakery/café in an industrial area and self-service; too high?

Modern production, top products and friendly people

Having breakfast while checking the production of the famous Zuger Kirschtorte is wonderful!! Perfect also for lunch, coffee or buying bread and pastry

We had a very nice lunch. The lunch menu sounded delicious and was very well arranged. The special season menus were also very fine. The service was super friendly and committed in a way I have rarely experienced in a restaurant. Good environment for eating outside. Again and again!

Dear Speck team We had a great team event with you and learned a lot of new things during the combined tour of Zuger Kirschtorte & Kirschstängeli. Your two apprentices Lia and her colleague led the tour competently and sympathetically. Thank you for that!

The new insider tip from the city of Zug. The look into the confectionery is definitely a highlight. I really enjoyed the tour "How does the cherry get into the Stängeli", it was very exciting and I'm looking forward to the next visit to the café with more delicious delicacies.

Great location with fine specialties. One of my favorite places in Zug.

If you don't just want to drink a quick coffee and eat something sweet (which you can of course), but also want to follow the production process from a front seat: it doesn't get any better than this!
