Very nice and clean rooms, very centrally located and quiet. Parking garage in the immediate vicinity. Easy self-check-in and helpful staff if you have any questions. All in all highly recommended.

A hotel that meets expectations. Booked December 30th. After 15 minutes we were at the door. Unable to open (email with code not arrived) on the phone a very courteous boy gave us the necessary instructions. Thanks to him we checked in without difficulty. Very welcoming and functional double room.

Super cosy, charming and comfortable staycation in a strategically located spot… Very thoughtful service for a self check-in hotel as I couldn’t work the system and help arrived a mere two minutes later! Be forewarned that the alley it’s in could easily be missed but it’s what’s keeping your sleep quiet and relaxing ☺️

It was difficult to contact the staff, we didn't have local calling cards and messages were not answered. Luggage storage is not allowed, so you need to store your luggage at the station, which costs about 25 francs. With the accommodation fee, you can book a hotel that does not require self-check-in. I have a little doubt. I booked this accommodation about two months in advance (October 23). At that time, there was no indication that I needed to self-check in. After arriving, we were unable to enter at the door. The store owner said that he had sent an email to inform us of the password, but he did not receive any relevant email. His reply was that he did not know. If you need to store your luggage and arrive very late/very early, I suggest you not choose this place.

Good clean and modern room with sufficient space and facilities in a great location. The pillow and the quilt is too thin though.

Das Hotel ist bestens gelegen, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Räumlichkeiten des Restaurants sind sehr geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig und hell. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Uns wurde ein Abendessen in einem nahe gelegenen Lokal (Restaurant Taube) organisiert. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt.

Das Stern-Schnuppen-Menü war hervorragend. Super Weinempfehlung, der Bordeaux Saint-Émilion war die Wucht…brillant. Super professionelle, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung und ein Riesenlob an den Koch, er erkundigte sich persönlich am Tisch über die Zufriedenheit. Wir haben es absolut sehr genossen. Ambiente und alles war einfach perfekt!Wir können das Restaurant STERN Luzern bestens empfehlen.

Wir befanden uns in der Dependance an der Münzgasse. Die Lage und auch das Zimmer waren toll. Preis Leistung sind super. Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Ambiente ist bereits von Beginn an ein Highlight. Der Service sehr freundlich und genau so locker, wie man dies so erwartet. Das Menu Konzept interessant mit Auswahl für jeden Geschmack. Preislich zum Teil im oberen Rahmen, wenn man nicht gerade die teuren Menu Angebote wählt. Hier wäre vielleicht eine leichte Anpassung wünschenswert Qualität darf aber seinen Preis haben und auch gerechtfertigt. Suppe mit vegetarischen Hauptgang sollte aber günstiger sein, als 2 Fleischgänge.Zum genissen unbedingt Zeit zwischen den Gängen verlangen.Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.

This lovely hotel has exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed very friendly when we arrived on our bikes. The rooms are lovely and conveniently located in the old town of Lucerne. I really liked the interior design and the modern amenities. One other highlight was the tasty breakfast. For sure, I'd love to come back next time I need to stay in Lucerne overnight.

Not crazy about my tiny room and bed made for children. Reception closes at 10pm and I arrived later. Had to phone in, listen to a voicemail in German and then English. Then go to a nearby hotel and grab my key. The staff was nice and it's clean and tidy but experience was below par overall.

Sehr guter Service, aufgestelltes Team und das Essen ist ein Traum. Ideal für Leute, die Schwierigkeiten haben sich zu entscheiden. Die Vorspeise und das Dessert wird in kleinen Weckgläsern serviert, so dass man ohne Probleme auch 2 oder 3 verschiedene Vorspeisen oder Desserts bestellen kann. Das Fleisch (Rindsfilet) war von sehr guter Qualität und perfekt zubereitet.

The food was great, we enjoyed it a lot. Especially the small glasses stole my heart. Every small dish in the glass was different and tested refreshing and interesting. The service on the other hand was not very good. The are so many tables in the small restaurant that you cannot move; but there was just two waitresses serving the guests in the restaurant, in the bar and taking care of the hotel reception.So we waited to be seated, to order something to drink and to get the menu. At the neighbouring table things got mixed up; so they had to wait even longer. All in all, it’s a bit of a shame that we couldn’t enjoy the really nice food.

Im Hotel + Restaurant Stern gibt es ein feines Frühstücksbuffet zu einem sehr fairen preis. Alles ist frisch zubereitet und es gibt Getränke a Discretion dazu. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll.

Wir hatten den Quinoasalat und die Apfel-Sellerie Suppe als Stern-Schnuppe, sowie das Rindstartar und Cordon Bleu als Hauptspeise. Und als Abschluss das warme Schoggichüchli. Alles war ausgezeichnet! Sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service war top!! Jederzeit wieder ;)

Romantisches Restaurant in der Altstadt von Luzern. Man sollte unbedingt die Tagesempfehlung probieren, die sind immer sehr lecker.

Sehr schöne Lokalität, ausgezeichneter Service und super Essen. Das Konzept mit den Stern-Schnuppen (frei kombinierbare gefüllte Weckgläser) ist top. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Innerschweizer STERN-Hacktätschli nach Original Rezept!

Wir waren für ein gemütliches Abendessen im Stern. Die Atmosphäre war angenehm, wenn auch etwas touristisch und eng. Leider wurden wir von der durchaus freundlichen Bedienung immer wieder vergessen und übersehen, so dass die Freude je länger der Abend, desto mehr getrübt worden ist. Die Tische links und rechts wurden schneller bedient. Das Restaurant war gut besetzt aber keineswegs überfüllt. Essen und Getränke waren gut und können mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfohlen werden.

I have been here several times before. The service was good for the most part but the waiter was a bit tired. Some of my favorite dishes are no longer available. I was not very pleased to find out that the coffee wasn't organic. The chicken was a little dry. Overall, this place is just all right. I could come back.

I picked this place for my only dinner in Lucerne based on good reviews on Tripadvisor. I loved it. They offer cozy and relaxing atmosphere, with friendly staff. They have local wines (red and white), and sort of dishes that local probably eat (not like cheese fondue), using local ingredients (like deer or lamb meat). They also offers appetizers as "shots" (in shot glass), which is interesting. I enjoyed the dinner.

Gemütliches Restaurant am Rande der Altstadt. Hervorragendes schweizerisches Essen, alles frisch aus Qualitätszutaten traditionell und raffiniert zubereitet. Leckerer Wein dazu und zuvorkommende sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir sind begeistert.

Restaurant specializes in small "shooting star" appetizers and desserts, a fun way to try things without overdoing it! Located in the Stern Hotel, it was a little difficult to find the entrance - we walked right by, but GPS came to the rescue. Small place, so reservations a must. I started with a little jar of smoked trout mousse, followed by salmon trout served with lots of vegetables, all delicious. Partner had the daily lamb special, which was "lamb two ways". They brought out a lamb ragout with my appetizer, and the roasted lamb with my fish, both dishes very good. Our dessert choices were a little jar of tiramisu and a plum sorbet. Only complaint was that the banquet seating was the most uncomfortable I have ever been in a restaurant - flat wood plank, no curve at the front, and our seating in front of window offered no back support. Pillows helped a bit.

After the amuse-bouche, we started our dinner with two of the "Shooting Stars" - Mousse of smoked Swiss trout and Swiss sausage salad. A great start, clearly the "Shooting Stars" show off the chef's creativity, much to our good fortune. We didn't order from the standard menu, but opted for that night's specials - Deer Schnitzel and Deer Ragout, each served with spaetzle and red cabbage. These were a home run, especially when paired with a glass of the recommended Syrah. We finished up with Sour Cream and Lingonberry ice cream, a great finish to a really good dinner. The restaurant is relatively small and it was a full house on a Thursday night, so booking ahead is recommended. Lastly, STERN has an excellent wait staff - a big thank you to Robin for making our anniversary dinner special.

Das Essen war super lecker und die Bedienung toll. Nur leider ist der Gastraum nicht sehr gross und dadurch die Tische sehr nah nebeneinander, nichts für ein persönliches Gespräch. Auch der Lärmpegel ist wirklich hoch, ausser wenn viele grad am essin sind;–)

Beautiful ambiance. I had venison. Very good. The one thing that bothered me is that we selected a Swiss Piñot noir It was a bit too fruity so the waiter suggested another similar Pinot noir. We selected it. What he failed to tell us was that the price was significantly higher.

We almost missed the entrance to this amazing restaurant (we entered from the backside of the street). Good thing we were determined to get in. We LOVED the food. Started with a couple 'stars' of corn chowder and beef tartar. My husband had the veal for his main, but the true star of the meal was the 2 course lamb dish. Both courses were heaven on a plate. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you are in Lucern!! You will not be disappointed.

Ich wollte nur sagen ich kenne das Hotel nicht aber dass Restaurant wirklich genial sehr zu vorkommendes Personal super freundlich geht auf die wünsche bei der speisewahl ein. Dass Essen einfach genial. Hatte noch nie so wundervoll und das muss ich so sagen gegessen es ist ein Traum. Und dass sage ich nicht nur so,habe schon öfters sehr gut on Luzern gegessen aber dass hier ist wirklich ein Traum die Geschmacksknospen im Mund explodieren bei einer Tomatensuppe mit Fenchel usw.....ein Traum alles was wir hier gegessen haben ist ohne zusagen ein Traum....Besonders ein Lob an die Bedinung Caro super nett freundlich zuforkommend...danke komme sicher wieder

Very small cosy space. Our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Every tin guys was quite tasty We had three appetizer jars: corn soup, tomatoes, and trout mousse, then salmon and lamb for the mains. Great value for the high quality. We would definitely go back.

We loved it here. It was welcoming and relaxed. The Swiss wine was unexpectedly wonderful. We enjoyed the “star” appetizers, the gazpacho and the corn soup were great. Also, best salad of our trip and tomato soup. On to the chicken, moist and stuffed with an herb cheese that was really good, the Wiener schnitzel, and the beef encroute that was cooked perfectly. Then, the warm chocolate cake and the sour cream ice cream to finish. We highly recommend, lovely ambience and best dinner so far in Lucerne. Well done!

Given that Luzern doesn't boast too many Swiss restaurants, the Stern is an option but nothing special. We waited more than half an hour for our main dish, and when we enquired the waiter answered: "I am waiting as well!", meaning, I guess, that the kitchen was not coming forward with the food. But not quite the answer one would expect. The steak tartare was served without asking whether I wanted it spicy or not, and it WAS spicy.

We stopped for lunch in Lucerne on our way back from Italy in this lovely restaurant.We enjoyed the terrasse, had mushrooms noodles with cream. (I missed the cream in southern Italy). The mushroom were nice, fresh, crisp, the cream very tasty and the noodles perfect. (could have used a bit more seasoning, but better less salt then too much)I like the modern, well executed touch to traditional dishes.Started with a nice crisp cucumber/lettuce salad, good dressing.Very friendly staff.

We were 2 couples visiting Lucerne for the first time and chose Stern because of their TripAdvisor reviews. It was a great experience. The staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent; we had the Swiss meat pattis, the lamb and the salmon, several starters and the chocolate cake. The prices were very reasonable. Probably our best meal in Lucerne.

Sehr flotter und höflicher Dienst. Ich finde, dass das ganze Lokal Personal dort einen guten Job gemacht hat. Mein Mann und ich sind völlig positiv überrascht. Wir beide werden auf jeden Fall zurückkehren. Das Lokal ist wahrhaftig überaus stilvoll möbliert. Keine billige Deko, stattdessen es war farblich vieles stark lieblich auf einander abgestimmt. Ich meinerseits kann sagen, bis jetzt hat uns noch nix frustriert! Das Lokal war jedes Mal eine Erfolg in meinem Mund. Bravo.

Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, Personal ist auch sehr nett und der Empfangsbereich sowie das Restaurant verbindet Historie und Moderne. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Wäre schön gewesen, wenn sie hier die Moderne und Historie verbinden würde. Parkhaus liegt keine 2min entfernt.

Preis Leistung stimmt nicht in diesem Restaurant. Für kleine Portionen zahlt man in diesem Restaurant zu viel.Service ist in Ordnung und man fühlt sich wohl, dafür die 2 Punkte. Von der Bestellung bis zum Essen vergeht definitiv zu viel Zeit. Auch die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist nicht top. Wenn Essen im Restaurant ein Erlebnis sein soll, dann definitiv nicht in diesem Restaurant.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Tartar e8n Gedicht. Die Bedienung nicht nur freundlich sondern auch unterhaltsam. Der Preis angemessen. Sicher wieder mein Ziel wenn ich in Luzern bin.

Hôtel très bien placé et très accueillant avec des chambres confortables pour un tarif convenable. Bon petit déjeuner. Principal défaut, la décoration minime dans notre chambre du bâtiment principal, qui manquait de charme. La chambre, située dans la dépendance, d'une autre personne qui voyageait avec nous, était beaucoup plus charmante.

Not sure what we wanted so we went with close and Trip Advisor. Not disappointed. Really enjoyed the Star appetizers and my wife absolutely loved the tomato selection. Meal choices are few but good. I had the Breast of Chicken and my wife had Meat Patty. Both tasted as good as they looked. Robin, our waiter, was attentive and informative when we had a question. Would definitely return if stay allowed. Be aware it was a $100.00 plus meal with beer and wine but worth it and prices are high.

We only had one night in Lucern and LOVED our experience at this beautiful little hotel. The rooms were spotless, the bedding was very comfortable and the fan and open window created the perfect sleeping environment, even in the heat. The service was outstanding on all accounts. We decided to eat at the hotel after a very long day and the food was absolutely amazing. If I am ever lucky enough to come back to this city, I will definitely make my reservation here. Thank you to all involved for making our short stay so enjoyable!
