Pleasant atmosphere, after a day of work, eating a delicious meal in such a friendly setting feels good. I will come back for sure

The dishes were OK (teriyaaki chicken, ramen, salmon sushi) but the friendliness was not there.

I am afraid the food we had in the evening (6pm) was lukewarm instead of hot (rice and curry sauce for the pork do nori), which is a pity. Use the microwave if you need to heat up fast! Service adequate rather than good.

After 20 minutes of waiting after the official opening time (11:20 a.m.), a saleswoman and her colleague ultimately decide not to open until noon under the pretext “that they have not yet unpacked the products” . They finally allow me entry, only to end up complaining loudly among themselves about my presence.

The sushi is good, but the service is terrible. I had to wait until 11.20 (official opening 11am), as the staff were obviously late. Without a word of apology. When I allowed myself to enter at 11.20 (I couldn't wait any longer, they only wanted to open at noon), I had the right to say "but that's not true!!!" as the only reaction to the situation.

The staff is super friendly, I had a tonkotsu ramen but I found the broth terribly bland... I have eaten so much better ramen... I admit to being a little disappointed

Very good address. Just a shame to indicate a schedule that is not respected. Closing time announced at 2:00 p.m., kitchen closed a quarter of an hour before. Damage!

Nice terrace but still quite busy, nice service. Sushi as a starter, the rice a little cold and hard, but very good wasabi and ginger. Then very good ramen, all accompanied by a draft asahi ^^

It was ok. Tried the Wakame salad, edamame, and tan tan ramen. They also have some donburry, but for rainy/snowy season ramen is preferred. If you are looking fit some rice/Asian food, this is ok and the price is affordable. They also got some wine, sake.

The ramen was good, but not exceptional. The noodles are industrial and the eggs are not marinated enough, they lack flavor. But it was still good.

Having returned from Japan, where we enjoyed exceptional ramen, I allow myself an objective observation on our experience. The shio broth, although unpretentious, suffers from its insufficient temperature when tasting. Honorable mention, however, for the half marinated egg, although let down by its freshness which struggles to go well with the lukewarm broth. The noodles, thin like freeze-dried ones, lack that al dente texture so much hoped for in a bowl of authentic ramen. The broth, although based on a chicken stock foundation, seems simplified, perhaps too European-style, neglecting the characteristic umami flavors. Opting for roast beef, no major surprises, although the quality and tenderness of the meat are light years away from those tasted in Japan. That said, no direct criticism to make against him.

The food was not fresh at all…the chicken kaarage was reheated and the curry was not traditional at all !!!

Good ramen, tasty non-alcoholic cocktail. Also full (partly with locals) on a rainy Saturday, and rightly so.

I went to SushiZen with my two young daughters and the waitress was very accomodating, letting us sit in the most quiet room they have, and they were fast to serve us the restaurant delicious food. Their sushi was fresh and nicéy presented and they Ramen soup was very tasty and filling. Considering the service and the quality of food, I would say they are quite cheap compared to similar place in Lausanne. Plus they are open on Sunday 😀

I recommend 200% the Ramen are excellent, so far they are the best I have eaten in Lausanne

Good food, nice atmosphere and very fair prices. The staff however is incredibly skilled at making you feel unwelcome. Every time you order something they give you the impression that you’re bothering them.

The waiter forgot to bring us part of our order. In addition, starter served at the same time as the main course.

No Sushi!!! We call to make reservations and when we arrive, no more sushi to eat. No information about this when calling! Disappointing! I must admit that the person who accompanied us to the service was very professional and knew how to alleviate this disappointment!

Wonderful Ramen experience. Egg marinated and cooked perfectly (it’s the detail that says a lot when it comes to Ramen). Fast and friendly service, superb decor. I recommend the lychee drink and the lemon and honey tea, a treat. And the mochi a la carte are incredible. To redo quickly

Very good food, too bad the containers are not suitable for delivery via delivery apps. Delivery is relatively expensive but the food does not always arrive intact due to cardboard containers and cups not suitable for delivery despite the delivery people doing everything possible to deliver correctly.

Excellent Ramen and the pot stickers were awesome. Well worth looking up for. Had a pleasant evening on the street tables having dinner and watching ppl go by. Will be back!!

I love the wall with all the masks. The sushi is good and not too expensive. I've had better ones elsewhere but it was a different price.

Very tasty noodle soup with an intense broth. My wife and parents had enjoyed our lunch there. We ordered ramen with spicy miso broth and shoyu ramen and extra chashu as a garnish. We were full and everything was delicious. They also have interesting sushi as a take-away menu in the refrigerated section. Ambience is simply uncomplicated. Service was friendly and quick. English is passable and very easy to understand. We are happy to recommend the store.

Being a regular at this restaurant, I am never disappointed, the service is always pleasant and the decoration never boring. The ramen remains among the best in the city of Lausanne. The prices remain fair and the portions are generous. I highly recommend it for all Japanese food lovers!

I have eaten at that restaurant or got their veggie ramen delivered countless times, more than I can recall, likely 30 times a year since their opening. I also used to pick their sushis to go on a regular basis. I love noodles in general and that is by far my favorite ramen place in Lausanne. I consider Sushizen as my usual “canteen” place in Lausanne, a place I can conveniently get some comfort food from: quickly seated (never waited more than 15 minutes), quickly served, quickly eaten. Their veggie ramen is good and their ramen noodles are cooked to perfection. Broth and sides are not that exceptional, but do the job, definitely. The veggies are always fresh and that is why I always choose that ramen over other options. I actually prefer this place compared to Umamido, which I think is overrated and requires much more patience (waiting times!). Here at Sushizen, everything is kept simple and at quite fair prices (based on Swiss standards, of course).

Definitively is bigger than it looks from outside. We took two different kind of ramen, one with soy soupe with pork (wish there was more and there should be more) as well as the vegetarian soupe with vegetables. There were quite good, not the best, a bit generic but still good. I'd recommend if you're close to the station and want ramen otherwise I feel there are better options in Lausanne. But nothing to complain, one can also have sushi and curries so if you're going as a group there something for everyone!

Good welcome, efficient service and good, fairly authentic Japanese dishes. We tasted ramen and donburi, it was good, and almost like in Japan!

I had a veggie aven quickly served , tasted delicious. The restaurant is week decorated; though the Samouraï toilets could a bit cleaner

The breaded chicken wasn't even crunchy it was mushy and the rice was overcooked and the egg tasted weird

Always a good place to come and eat for lunch or dinner! We had a pork tonkotsu ramen (with spicy oil) and a vegetarian curry, great 😀 and the team is always nice.

Bigger than it looks on the outside, friendly and super quick service, comes at the cost of the food, though. I received my order during lunch rush within 10 minutes (if not 5), great for a quick bite! But My Tantamen was bland and the base/paste was clumpy at the bottom of the bowl. Meat was cold whereas the noodles were hot. It wasn't really creamy either like I know of Tantamen. The onsen egg was absolutely perfect though. Overall, I'd give them another chance and order something else the next time.

It’s a shame to come to a “sushi” restaurant at 8 p.m. on a Saturday only to have them tell us that there are only 3 sushi left and that they won’t make any more. We should think about changing the name of the restaurant...

Delicious food and good service - easy for a weeknight

Nice sushi bar but it's a shame that you first have to choose your own sushi wrapped in a plastic box and then take it to the kitchen to prepare the dish... A bit cheap in terms of service otherwise the food is great!

Best tonkatsu ramen in Lausanne

Very good service and excellent dishes, very friendly waitresses. On the other hand, charging 8.- for a bottle of so-called Henniez when it is a bottle of tap water (without label) and 5.50 for a 50cl bottle (also without label) is NOT CORRECT , even more so when you consume dishes for 4 people, coffee and dessert...

Super fast and friendly service! The pork spicy Miso Ramen was delicious and very flavourful. It could have been even more spicy, but you can add chilli and pepper as you wish. The dish is not super big, but ok in size. We would come again.

Beware of false advertising! On Uber Eats, they display 1 purchased = 1 free, this indication follows you throughout the menu. See the photos. By clicking on the offer, no additional details. But when you order they call you to tell you it's only on the beef noodles. I offered to make a commercial gesture by offering me an additional box of sushi out of the 2 ordered (= compromise proposal), but ultimately I received nothing more. Congratulations on your incredible customer service and dishonest marketing!! And I would like to add a compliment to your response, which proves that you are in no way questioning yourself and that you will continue to mislead customers! Brief. You are not good people. A little disappointed with my meal at Sushi Zen. The ramen and sushi were good but nothing more. I don't think I'll go back. On the other hand, very good server.

Ordered as delivery few months back. The ramen and gyoza were quite good ! It was easy to warm up the ramen back at home and taste was great. We ordered all types of gyoza (meat, vegetarian, shrimp), they arrived OK but the travel didn’t help to keep their freshness. Should be best to eat over there. Will definitely order Ramen again at home next time.

I haven't tried the sushi yet because the tonkotsu ramen is so good, why eat anything else!!!

Ramen just ok, not very interesting and different enough from an instant soup. And the sushi were also just ok, which is strange because when you order sushi delivery, Sushi Zen are generally great. And rather poor choice of Sake.

The food is good but the packaging for delivery is horrible. Twice the paper bag is broken because the packaging inside is wet and the paper is too thin...

The food was excellent but the service given by the waiters leaves a lot to be desired, the nonchalant, couldn't give a dam attitude was less than appreciated by our table of four. Pull up your socks or change the waiting staff.

Bad takeaway experience, 50 minutes of delivery in addition to the initially estimated delivery time, the food therefore took a hit. Tel number inactive after 2 p.m. so I was unable to contact them to ask about the status of the delivery. Otherwise, the food would surely have been good there, but eating it about an hour and a half later is not fun. Order number 0B864

I analyze the restaurant comments and we have a blatant deli of a string of false comments and BS responses from the owner who says anything and everything to justify himself. So my rating here does not represent the quality of the establishment but its dishonesty!

4.5 stars. The ramen is very delicious, although it is not the best ramen I have ever eaten. The service is EXCELLENT, they made me feel welcome and were very attentive at all times. Nice place and I loved trying the mochi. To drink I ordered a cold green tea with honey which was delicious. I would go again, recommending ☺️☀️

Authentic Japanese food, by Japanese chefs. We had excellent Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen and Katsucurry. They have a great selection of hot teas. The Yuzu Green Sencha was excellent! They serve looseleaf teas here—no cheap, environmentally unfriendly teabags! Everything is fresh and delicious. The staff are also very nice.
