Takayama in Lausanne

Perfect food and service. We were very well received and quickly served. The boat is incredible. Didn't really like the music.

First time here but we will definitely come back. We enjoyed our shabu Shabu which was served with many vegetable and meat and noodles. Everything was delicious. We also had shrimp tempura which was delicious. For desert I had the green tea mochi which was a great way to end a great meal. Service was fast and very friendly. We will be back to try the sushi which looked brilliant!

Very nice restaurant that I have visited several times. The staff is very welcoming, helpful, smiling and kind. The menu offers all kinds of very good Japanese dishes, excellent sushi, the starters are really good and the setting is very traditional. The quality-price ratio is really great to enjoy a good restaurant without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it for all fans of Japanese cuisine and sushi.

I took it to go and very efficient! Miso soup then nicely grilled duck, even fresh sautéed vegetables and a seaweed salad with rice on the side! She even gave me a jug of water while I waited 10 minutes at most! Tatami corner and sushi master to try next time just like the terrace!

We ate very well. Salmon-avocado tartare, sushi, gyoza, ice cream… everything was very good and the staff were friendly.

Incredibly fresh sushi and fast service. There are not a lot of selections but finding sushi this fresh in the middle of the Europe is amazing. Order the boat for two, comes with a lot extras, it is worth the price.

A good sushi restaurant that I can recommend in Lausanne. 😇 We ate a variety of sushi, sashimi, maki and tempura and were very happy with all items on the menu. ⭐️ Of course I will come back! I recommend it to everyone.

We were greeted with a small appetizer. The sushi boat menu was plentiful and tasty, the service discreet but efficient, with little waiting. Overall, an address to recommend without hesitation.

Visit yesterday for two! It's been a long time since I've had sushi this good. The fish melted like butter even for the nigiri and california. Amazing restaurant with perfect service! Restaurant without light outside, eating in the darkness. Noodle super salty. Paid 66CHF for a bill without receiving a thanks.

Great all-you-can-eat sushi menu on Thursday evenings and Sunday evenings. Proposal for a mix platter of sushi/makis/california rolls, well presented and prepared with care, very fresh products, and affordable price. I recommend !

Excellent sushi and a must-do with the super-worthy Japanese hot pot: we opted for the seafood one. At start it seemed like it wasn’t enough, but it was plenty enough in the end !

Cozy place characterized by very friendly staff. Food of exceptional quality, and a rare selection of typical dishes, such as takoyaki and kamu rosu, which I have hardly found in other Japanese restaurants. I also appreciated that they brought a bowl of rice for each, then unknowingly making my full order excessive - I'm used to eating every last morsel, but I got full sooner. I hope to come back soon!

For our lunch we had sushi, teriyaki salmon with rice, beef bowl teriyaki. Everything was great. We were full. It's a shame that the service staff don't speak English or German. A little input to the chefs: Beef or salmon in teriyaki sauce with rice should not be served on a plate but would be better served in a bowl. You then eat either with a spoon or (if the sauce wasn't too runny) with chopsticks.

The reception was very friendly including the service. The restaurant is fairly accessible also for disabled. All food was tasty and well plated and arrived in reasonable time. We will return next time in Lausanne.

Top quality sushi but we don't go there for the atmosphere

The window of the fish reserve to prepare the sushi was filthy, the tuna in the avocados and tuna was black. I refused it. The boss was yelling at the Sushi Man in front of the customers. Indigestible

I ate pretty well but I was disappointed with the wait and the service. In addition, I would have liked not to have wooden chopsticks given the price of the dishes.

The gyozas and yakisoba are very good, the gyudon too! Very reasonable prices for Ouchy, friendly and fast service.

Great food - we ordered a very tasty miso soup and gyozas . As main course we ordered chicken noodles and a beaf typical plate very good quantity and tasty. Clearly cooked in the moment.

Very friendly welcome. The pork gyoza are very good and the sushi too. However, the dishes are extremely expensive. 26.- for small 16 sushis, or 8.- for a miso soup as a starter… but hey, that’s just my opinion. I will not return due to the prices. But if you have more financial means, don’t hesitate haha.

Very good Japanese in Lausanne, we tasted the Japanese fondue which is very good. Efficient service but doesn't leave you hanging after dinner.. but other than that everything is good.

The best sashimi I have eaten in Lausanne...excellent freshness, good taste and price a little high but good value for money. The decoration is a bit ordinary but at least everything is on the plate! Well done

Excessive price "we are in Switzerland... Maki ridiculous size and stingy on the quantity of fish on all the Sushis.... In short

The quality of the sushi is excellent. The downside is the service. The service time is very long (for sushi of this quality I could understand, they are not made in 5 minutes), but that's not all. A dish was forgotten and we had to recall it, part of the menu (sushi boat) was forgotten and we had to ask for the bill several times. It's a shame because once again the food is excellent and only the service tarnishes the rating.

The sushi are super fresh and delicious especially the mochi they were the highlight of my meal (I got sakura and green tea, green tea was a bit too sweet but Sakura but really delicious) the environment of the restaurant was also really nice the staff was friendly and polite even though I was waiting for quite a long time for my food (but understandable because there was only one chef) overall I was very pleased with the service and food and will definitely visit again.

Pleasant welcome. Efficient service. And above all delicious dishes! We had a lot of different dishes (sushi, miso soup, noodles, shabu-shabu fondue, gyozas and tempuras) and were won over. Keep an eye on the amount, because we would want to taste everything!

A safe bet near Ouchy, the sushi and other dishes are really tasty and the staff are friendly.

Good restaurant, the prices are affordable and the products are good, I was still expecting a little more taste... The restaurant is very well decorated. On the other hand, the staff is cold and lacks professionalism.

My wife and I have been coming to eat at Takayama for several years and have never been disappointed. Very friendly boss and employees. I have tried several sushi restaurants in Lausanne but Takayama remains the best. I recommend this restaurant.

Very nice as usual. The eel is amazing, you need to try it! As a desert, fried banana and mochi on shakura flavor it was the perfect ending. !!

🎶 Tako tako tako daisuki 🎶 Restaurant with pleasant staff, we took the "Ninja portion" of sashimi (3 scallops, 6 salmon, 6 tuna, 3 sea bream, 3 mackerel) for 23., and an assortment of maki for 16., A small jasmine tea , not in bags, tea leaves in a kettle (the waiter added extra hot water halfway through the meal), with TA KO YAKIIII TA KO YAKI!!!!! DAISUKII!!! entrance. 9.5. Ate well :) 🙏

Great discovery! We had a plate of Sashimi ninja portion and the assortment of maki with takoyakis as a starter. Very good. Sashimi a little cold. The last tempered slices were better :D! Very good service and responsive and friendly people. We had jasmine tea and we were refilled with hot water (without asking). A lovely pleasant evening :)

Restaurant discovered as part of the gourmet passport, be careful you have to pay cash if you come with the gourmet passport. Parking spaces nearby are rare, but there are some. Welcoming staff, we were quickly served. The food is tasty and the sushi excellent. Small Japanese green tea at the end to digest everything.

Sushi is really good here! 🍣 The rice is perfect here, unlike some sushi chains in Lausanne. The veggie tempura was good but a bit too expensive in my opinion: 26 CHF. Mochis were good too! Green tea & cherry blossom. Friendly service and decent timing.

The welcome is warm and the service efficient. The food was very good and the quality of the sushi was excellent. However, the prices are a little too high in my opinion even if the products are delicious. However, we will return for the sushi.

We ordered a large sushi boat, we were charged 100 Fr for Half of what was supposed to be on the boat, which was mainly maki. When I asked , he got impatient and unfriendly and only offered some weird excuses.. Not very happy

In the Takayama menu you will have a bit of everything: edaname as an appetizer, sushi as a starter then shrimp tempura, beef fillet, ice cream and mochi. Perfect balance. Plus their plum wine is excellent Only problem: drafts. Ask for one of the tables upstairs if possible!

It's quite simply the best Japanese restaurant I've ever eaten at. And what's more, they're super nice. Not to mention their prices are about the same as tasteless, soulless sushi chains.

The yakisoba contained way too many bamboo shoots and not enough chicken at all. The California rolls at 19.- are way too expensive. Too much disappointment I won't go back.
