Order placed online at 9:15 p.m., delivery time stated as 45 minutes. At 10 p.m. the message came that delivery was canceled. Without reasons. That's not possible, make the customer wait first and then cancel after 45 minutes... edit @Owner: Thanks for your answer. The situation is somehow strange, other restaurants were able to continue delivering without any problems. Be that as it may; It would have been nice if you had still sought contact in this case and justified the cancellation as you have done here. There remains a pale aftertaste, but I have now increased the rating to 3 stars in order to reward your efforts to clarify the matter.

Hidden behind the MPark at Dreispitz Areal, thus Thai food restaurant is an excellent choice if your are looking for a quite place to enjoy and satisfy your Asian food hunger.

A very cozy restaurant where warm light and calm music immediately welcome you. The service knows what it is doing and is not above fulfilling the customers' wishes (I tested it specifically). Last but not least, I have to mention that the food tastes and looks wonderful! The really crispy and not a bit dry duck does what it promises and the rice is mild yet tasty. Even the sauce is served separately depending on the dish, which ensures the best consistency. All in all, a place where you can relax and enjoy a special evening. Thank you to the entire Thai Square team!

Great place for dinner. They have plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian options. Unlike many Asian place, these guys don't ask you for spice levels when ordering food. We ordered Thai Fried rice with Tofu, Thai Green Curry and jasmine rice. The service was super fast, reasonable price for the menu.

The staff is top! Unfortunately, tips are not given directly to the corresponding waiters but are divided irregularly without receipt. There is a reason for the constantly changing staff. Agreements that are not kept, it Only gives “free request if someone has died or you book a doctor’s appointment 2 weeks in advance”. It's a shame that you treat people like that. If you say something “uncomfortable” you will be removed from the roster and wages will be paid later than contractually agreed. But the food is good. They are trying to build a franchise here, but there is a lack of hygiene control management (HACCP) and there are no cleaning staff; instead, service staff are required to clean the toilets and windows during their shift. There is a lot of takeaway and you are often understaffed, so that guests who want to eat in the restaurant often have to wait, which is unfortunately very unsatisfactory for guests and service. It's better to expand than to get a restaurant up and running properly. A pity.

The ambience and restaurant setup is really nice. The food is good but not that great. We had better Thai food from another restaurant the day before, so we could easily relate. It is nice but I would say the price-performance ratio needs to be improved.

Beautiful garden, very nice service - the food like in every generic Thai chain in Basel, boring, inauthentic, underseasoned, the same 10 dishes as in every Boo, LeBua or whatever they're called. One can only hope that they all get better at some point or disappear.

Nice little garden shaded with trees invites you to linger. Food is good and freshly prepared and the staff is committed and quick. Only the proximity to the main road reduces the enjoyment somewhat.

We are regulars at this restaurant. We always eat spring rolls and Pad King. Until now the rice was included in the Pad King, now you have to pay 3 Chf extra, even though Thai Square increased the prices at the beginning of the year. These prices are too high. The food is good, but nothing special.

Me and my colleague complained about the food because it was very inedible. had disgusting taste. Food was not taken back but was compensated with a 10% reduction. I have never experienced something like that. Our team was also a good customer at this restaurant (15% price reduction for long-term guests). A shame in every respect. Even after I sent an email to the Thai Square Gundeli restaurant: no response!

the food and service are actually good. but you get warm food on a cold plate... 10 minutes later everything is cold. We mention it every time and they always say “the boss” is responsible for it. Hello boss, like everyone else, you would like a plate warmer then we would have fun from start to finish!

Went as a couple to Time Square Clarastrasse. The young waiter and the girl were very friendly, but there were only two of them, which made the waiting time a bit too long! Food: Papaya salad very tasteless, no coriander, no spiciness and fish sauce too little. Satay portion OK, but also totally bland, peanut sauce was too thin. Duck had no taste and the rice served with it was more cold than warm. Friedrice with prawns is also totally bland. The price is OK. But hey guys: This has nothing to do with Thai food, you really have to find new kitchen staff. The typical Thai chilies also belong on the tables. In short, we won't be coming back, the food at Boo or Clara or even Mr Wong is much better.

Total disappointment, I ordered a Thai red curry soup, it was very small and very expensive, and I asked for a portion of rice, they charged me for it but they didn't give it to me, apart from that they charged me 10CH more for administration costs and they don't even tell you when you place your order, they give discount, when I wanted to pay I saw a price and when I got the bill it turned out they had overcharged me, I will never go back in Order from this restaurant, what a scam.

Pad Thai tasted good. Unfortunately, the noodles were a bit cold in contrast to the rest of the dish. Duck was well done and also very well seasoned. Priced a little more expensive for the small quantity served.

Food was good as always, but this Sunday evening both service and kitchen were overwhelmed given regular full capacity. Long waiting times for drinks too. Main courses for the same table were delivered about 5-10 minutes later, one main course (duck) was lukewarm because it had probably been left too long, and the starter came with the main course. We also noticed that we were somehow served by everyone. This caused some information idleness and chaos. Have you tried working with sectors/zones? Then there won't be any sentences at the next table like "oh I thought you had already ordered." Conclusion: Food good, service friendly despite stress but still a bit overwhelmed in terms of organization. We hope for better success on our next visit. By the way, on the side: the menu says “4 summer rolls”. What is actually delivered are 2 summer rolls that have been halved.

Was there in a Sunday night. The service is too slow. Sitting in a dirty table for almost 40mins before the drinks arrived. Then the waitress wiped the table with a watery cloth and the water dripped on my legs. Then the napkins were placed directly on the wet table... The most important, we wanted to use the “lunch check” to pay, as we had used it there month ago. And we double checked with the waitress if they accepted the card before we ordered, which she said”not sure, should be fine”. As she didn’t come back and tell us no, we assumed it works. But when we tried to pay, it turned out they changed the machines and can’t accept it anymore. It’s just so not professional and inconsiderate.

Service is not professional. Took the order first after 25 minutes.Plates came Late for 1 hour. Food is delicious but service can and should be improved.

The food was very good. We particularly enjoyed the gyoza starter. The taste of the green curry is super delicious, but also very spicy. I would indicate on the menu that it is spicier and perhaps also offer a green curry that is not as spicy. The service was super friendly and the outside area was very nice. We'd love to come back ;)

I went to Thai Square for the first time yesterday and thought it was very good. We had a few starters together and I had the green curry shrimp. It had a pleasant spiciness. It was very vegetable-heavy, which I'm not exactly a fan of, but that's just the way it is in Asian cuisine. In any case, everything was very rich. The only thing I criticized a little was that you had to wait a bit long for the cold drinks. A little tip to the management. I would serve a little less sauce with the starters. There was still quite a bit of leftover when we were finished, although we enjoyed the fish cakes etc. with lots of sauce. It's better to add some more if you don't have enough. But I would like to come again. On another note: If you only have an hour for lunch, you are better off in a restaurant with a prepared lunch menu. In Thai Square you should enjoy your meal in peace.

We are not in a typical Thai restaurant because many of the dishes are much less spicy than there, the aperitifs are also mostly local (aperol, Hugo, etc.) The tastes are present and the dishes beautifully cooked. The restaurant is cozy and warm, lots of plants everywhere. Very professional and caring staff. The terrace in summer is probably very nice too. Very complicated to park.

The food is good, the duck is crispy. But unfortunately the waiters don't have it under control at all. I went there for lunch on my birthday in August. I had to wait 1 hour for food and when I asked for cutlery they forgot it and I had to go get it myself. Many people left the restaurant without even eating because the waiting times were so long. Especially at lunchtime, when many people don't have much time to go out to eat because they have to work, things should be quicker. Maybe a lunch menu instead of the whole menu would be more helpful to shorten the long waiting times for the food. The food is good but if you have to wait over an hour for rice with meat, that's a very long time. I recommend only going there in the evening.

We waited over an hour for our food and left without eating as we only have an hour lunch break. The people who came after us were served before us. This is the second time we have waited too long. It would be important that the employees are competent.
