The Blossom Alley in Luzern

Was Really excited to try this. the photos look great and when I came in the place looks very cute I ordered the bowl but unfortunately when it came out the rice was way overcooked it was mushy very soft like soup. The sauce was too salty not not a great experience, I haven’t tried the buns. What a shame.

+ Ambience very nice + Friendly service - For 2 small bao buns 20.- (we were still hungry afterwards) - Gyoza (4 pieces, 12.-) were very dry and boring - Very small tables and therefore very narrow Unfortunately I will not come again and cannot recommend the restaurant. Far too expensive and too little!

What a disappointment!!! Where should you start, the momos really can't be called momos, they are dry and filled with a substance similar to baby porridge and feel like they are wrapped in leather. The vegan gyoza are rubbery and overcooked in taste, just a little spicy so you don't think you're chewing on rubber. The taste of the bao buns was okay, but relatively dry and the 30% fried onion filling saved them in terms of taste. At least the staff was polite, but they didn't seem to be particularly proud of what they had to serve. The restaurant is great for taking Instagram pictures but not for eating there. It's just a shame and last but not least, the food is overpriced and has a small selection. Luckily there is a McDonald's right around the corner, so my little nephew didn't have to go back hungry.

Absolute little jewel in Lucerne for what I believe to be authentic dumplings and baos.

Way too expensive. Half of the dumplings were filled with fried onions to save meat. Almost 10 francs for a mini bao bun with 50% onion? Wow, I've rarely felt so ripped off.

Delicious food, friendly staff, reasonable prices and large portions, what more could you want.

Practically and conveniently right next to Lucerne train station, the two of us enjoyed an excellent Asian meal with a twist. The wakame salad comes with a fine sauce and the mayo for the Kroepoek snack is unbeatable. The dumplings are nice and juicy and the fillings of the baos are heavenly, tasty and spicy. Just to bite into! For dessert, the vanilla mochis particularly stood out. The refreshing Alley Spritz is recommended for drinking. Thanks to the great, friendly service, we felt welcome and in good hands. A big compliment and thank you!

The gyozas were watery. Industrial mochi... too expensive for what it is. And the waitress was not pleasant. As for the decoration, it remains very pretty. I don't recommend.

Blossom Alley Restaurant serves very good bao buns. It's a shame that the dumplings were very dry compared to the bao buns and the meat in the dumplings was of mediocre quality.

Very nice and cosy place, we went around 6pm but it was very quiet. The service was ok. Disappointed in the food, especially for the price, the baos tasted ok but they were not hot or fresh, the momo was quite chewy.

(+) - Ambiance - Also vegan offer (-) - The price is in no way justified. 19.- for 2 BAO BUNS is absolutely disturbing when you consider that you can eat one of them in 4 bites... - There is still room for improvement in terms of taste

I had been wanting to try out this quaint little place but i didn’t enjoy it as much as I anticipated the visit. There were three people working, service unfortunately was rather slow for the number of people they were meant to handle. Starter plates were only cleared when we requested them to remove them. This despite the fact that we sat at the bar trying to accommodate because they were full- (total seating capacity without bar is approx 15 PAX). Anyhow the edamame seemed to be the best thing. The baos were very mediocre and the momos just ok. I was disappointed because it felt like nothing was being made there and then, not sure how it works, but sure everything was warm on serving. For decor they get full marks, for space it is tight but some of us like that cosy feeling so all that is ok. Sadly not too happy coming out of there.

A MUST if you're visiting in Lucerne. I want a place like this in my city ❤️

Very nice location with great food, the fact that the toilet is outside the building or in a nearby bar is a little inconvenient.

I ate there with my girlfriend and had the dinner menu twice. We are very excited. Very tasty food and super nice service. We can only recommend it and would love to come back to eat :)

I had a chicken bowl to go. It was very tasty and, above all, inexpensive! The restaurant is quite small, but nicely decorated.

Very nice and hospitable service. Looked very good to us. Food was delicious and enough. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable, I thought I was in Vietnam 🫣, highly recommended.

I am really sorry, I was looking for this small restaurant to be a place where people could actually buy good dimsum. I went to all asian restaurants in Lucerne and so far there is only one restaurant with okayish dimsums. The Blossom Alley however made the worst. Even though the lets call him cook was nice, the dimsum were of bad taste, not steaming hot, and very doughy by taste. We ordered 4 pork and 4 vegi dimsum and got 1 vegi for free. For the dimsum we paid 20chf. Guys really, if you had ever eaten a fresh steamed dumpling you would not dare to sell this. The restaurant is small but looks nice, a bit overwhelmingly red in terms of decoration. It was actually cold inside which is why an electric heater was standing in the corner. Toilet is outside. My advice, heat up the frozen dumplings properly then it becomes warmer inside too.

Delicious food, best take away. Otherwise, I recommend reserving the seats as there aren't many.

Small, lovingly furnished restaurant. The service is excellent and takes time for every guest, you feel like you are in good hands. The portions and the price are extremely fair. All specialties are very tasty.

A small, friendly restaurant right next to Lucerne train station. Very fine dim sum (beef and vegan). Super fluffy bao buns with pork belly or teriyaki chicken. Perfect in taste (vegan filling also available). Extremely warm and cheerful service. Gladly again!

Nothing beats a cold drink and delicious food! Came here after long day of site seeing and ordered some bao’s. They have a great vegan option that just as good if not better than the meat option. Service was even better than the food! Everyone greeted us and made us feel at home. What a great experience!!

You have to try the pork belly baos. Really tasty.

Bao Bun with chicken was delicious. Bao Bun with pork and Momos with beef were also ok, but Bao Bun with chicken was amazing :) I recommend it.

Amazing food and service! We did not have reservation, but the manager was very kind and did some arrangement to fit us in. The food is spectacular, the Baos and dumplings delicious and the Bao Nutella is out of this world! Highly recommended. Small place with picturesque decoration.

The Blossom Alley The perfect place to eat, whether it's before a party or to have a casual evening. The service is very accommodating and friendly. The dumlings are very delicious and definitely recommended. I recommend every person to have been there once, you will visit The Blossom Alley again and again!

This is exactly what we need in Luzern! Tasty simple Asian food, also option for both meat and vegan! My favourite is the Bao Bun with Chicken. It would be even better if there are one or more different filling to choose from! Good location and service, very friendly staffs! Price is very good too! I ve been both lunch and dinner time with friends, both time we managed to get a table.

Food is world class and the service does a great job, prices should be higher for this dining experience. All in all it was a great evening. thank you very much

We got the menu with 2 buns and 4 dumplings and boy was it filling and delicious! Very simple menu with meat and vegan options. Can get busy at peak times. We got there at 11:30AM before the place got full! Would definitely come back.
