The first time, in the summer garden idyll, the food was quite passable - the dim sum held up well, but the main courses seemed to have completed a swimming course in the oil pool. On the second visit, oh dear, the kitchen seemed to have put a little more effort into it, but we were light years away from culinary fireworks. The rice? Well, let's say he could have used a little more spirit. But wait, it gets even “better”: the smell of the kitchen! Imagine a mist of eau de frye enveloped us, so intense that we quickly crossed dessert off the agenda. Back home, we all felt like we had done an honorable service at the frying basket.
