Interesting setting and history, not too complicated to park, quiet terrace. Very friendly welcome and service. The menu is simple, a bit of everything, including regional specialties. On the other hand, the Parisian entrecôte, for the price, I would have preferred a filet (but I knew more or less what to expect) The mushroom or cheese crust caught my eye, as did the butcher's trio, with the atrials to taste.

Very nice place, super pleasant environment, good food... Too bad the staff (on a sunny Sunday afternoon...) are arrogant and unpleasant. Asking that your table is not covered with food leftovers from previous customers should not invite inappropriate remarks from the waiter!

Without doubt the best spot in the countryside and a stone's throw from the city, a change of scenery guaranteed! Everything is perfect, they do everything just right and without pretension. The quality of the products, all coming from respectful cultivation and breeding in the region, provide a simple but devilishly effective and delicious cuisine. Last but not least, an ultra pleasant, relaxed service and much better than in most restaurants. Address not to be missed!

Restaurant in the middle of nature with a magnificent terrace naturally shaded by magnificent trees. Large play areas for children. The food is local and it's cooked very well. The choice is great. The beer fondue is a real killer. The absynthe chicken salad is amazing. The service is perfect, efficient and friendly. The wine list is composed of a large and relevant quantity of wines from the region.

We came with my husband and our children almost 30 years ago. At the time it was just a small, simple refreshment bar. And Sunday 2 weeks ago, I came back with my daughter, her children, and my son. We ate mushroom crusts, and chicken wings with vegetables from the garden. It was sooo good!! 👌❤️ We came back the following Sunday, we had the sausage to roast, it was very very good ❤️👌 The secret, the cooked products are of very good quality ❤️👌😊 Maybe see you next Sunday ❤️👌😊

Good products, good meal. The setting is pleasant for families with children, small play area and games and books available inside.

Family atmosphere and very friendly and the staff is impeccably friendly. The cheese fondue has become my favorite and the chocolate fondant is so good! The meal was exquisite, it was delicious!!! All in a heavenly setting, I highly recommend.

The Children's Chalet is poorly named: serving children well is not really the priority in this hostel. After an average meal (overcooked pasta / tomato sauce instead of tomatoes and a few pieces of ham) our grandsons were delighted to receive their dessert: a scoop of ice cream... They had to wait almost 30 minutes. I think that adult customers who take the time to come and eat on the beautiful shaded terrace of this inn are not in a big hurry and would certainly not mind serving children according to a different logic. The playground, in full sun, is not really a help to pass the time. As for us, we ate a decent dish of the day, nothing more. But I saw beautiful salads passing by on neighboring tables.

An excellent historic place in Lausanne, you can find a very good lime beer brewed by the Brasserie du Jorat according to an original recipe and with local ingredients.

The service has become execrable. The big waiter (boss?) is authoritarian and not at all accommodating. He is the one who chooses your table, even if there are empty seats around. No server offers the daily special. It's becoming a prison cafeteria.

Chalet atmosphere, the interior is quite small so a reservation is recommended on weekends, it's a bit noisy with the service bar in the room but it adds to the action. The prices are quite high though.

Magnificent place with children, friendly atmosphere, impeccable service, attentive and a choice of menus for everyone, I highly recommend.

Local cuisine, excellent! It's been several years since I last ate boutefas. Local production, perfect.

The setting is truly magnificent, with parking nearby. If it's really full there are still plenty of places upstream, not even a 2-minute walk away. It's right in the middle of nature and very relaxing as a place. Friendly and present staff. Food wise it was a bit mixed. The wine wasn't incredible, nor the chasselat, nor the partridge's eye. The assembly was correct. The spinach “velouté” was really very bland and liquid, it looked like a spinach infusion and not a velouté. In the main course the vegetables were delicious, really. Cooking mastered for each vegetable and there were 4 different kinds. Well seasoned it was a treat. The potatoes were medium cooked and medium seasoned. The meat was taken from local produce with boutfa and roasting sausage. Nothing exceptional, but it was good nothing more. We left on an excellent note since the artisanal ice creams are killer. Accompanied by a delicious coffee! So it's difficult to judge, because at 9.- the spinach infusion and 30.- the roasting sausage and its 4 slices of vegetable it's a bit expensive, we're not going to lie. But in the end we had a great time in a very nice setting so I think that's the main thing.

We wanted to stop there just to have something to drink. We were put back in place by a waiter who told us that it was “excluded to deal with customers between the two brunch services” (Like “No, but do you know where you are?”). It really doesn't make you want to discover this place for the next occasion, especially when you take a quick look at the recent reviews. Keep it up and at some point you will be happy again that people are bothering your staff.

Le Chalet des Enfants is a magnificent place to spend a relaxing moment surrounded by nature. The quality of the products offered is undeniable, even if the prices can be quite high. The rural setting is absolutely sublime and contributes greatly to the experience. The only downside is that the service can sometimes be a little slow due to a lack of staff, but this should not spoil the overall experience. Overall, the Chalet des Enfants is an excellent choice for a quality meal in an enchanting setting.

A good restaurant for la chasse (game). For vegetarians the mushroom dishes were an indulgence. Dessert crème brûlée was not very good. Friendly staff. English ok. Tables were a bit too close to each other.

The years go by and they don't look the same! Victim of your success? One evening meal with friends on the terrace, where unfortunately the sparrows targeted us with their needs. So, moving inside next to the bar where they prepare drinks etc, and without any precaution to try to be a little discreet, place not really friendly and knowing that there are other rooms it's all the more annoying. Aside from the cheese crusts, it couldn't be more basic, even in the depths of a lost mountain pasture they do better..... The Vaudois tasting menu leaves no memory except the price.....30 .- a slice of end of fa, a small atrials and 10 cm of Severy roasting sausage, a tablespoon of warm ratatouille, frankly it doesn't do it, so surprised by the contents that we didn't even think about asking for the potatoes that they had forgotten to serve. Too bad all that, we come often, and regret that your card is really more attractive, except the prices. As for the service, nothing special and at the end, no apology or explanation as to the potatoes never being served. Very disappointed, we won't be coming back, Perhaps one day when..... the comments no longer match ours and word of mouth is positive, we will test again.
