A stroke of luck to live in the same house as Barone. Great restaurant with delicious food and wood fired pizzas. The wine and desserts are also sensationally good. I would particularly like to emphasize the warm service. You are really pampered and the service is very efficient. Baron is a real must when in Ascona. .

Very good service and excellent food at a reasonable price

We often come here for lunch and are very satisfied every time. The food is seasonal and very fresh. There is a soup and salad in advance. The soups are always a great start, served with fresh bread and homemade butter. You can choose between 3 main courses. Meat, vegetarian or fish. The portions are manageable, not too much, but not too little either. The coffee at the end is always delicious. In summer you can sit outside very nicely. The service is warm and high-speed. The food is on the table quickly. But you don't feel like you have to rush. Perfect for business lunch. I recommend reserving a table for lunch. Definitely worth a visit!!

Bought chocolate hazelnut cake on Easter Saturday, according to the saleswoman it should be very fresh. Cut open the same evening, totally disappointing! This one was very hard and totally dry, also very expensive!!! Never again!!!

It was 8 minutes before closing time and the sales person was still so nice and sweet ! The cafe corner looked cosy: I will definitely go back to taste more (I bought pâté en croûte which was excellent)

Very good food, recommended without reservation. Special requests are also no problem. It can get crowded at lunchtime, so it's a good idea to come a little earlier.
