Sunday brunch. Insignificant buffet apart from the starters (and then again). Hot side constantly empty, we wonder if there was anyone in the kitchen. A wine merchant supposed to sell his wines who has not moved from behind his stand. Sir, if you want to sell your products, perhaps it would be wise to come and offer your products to the customers present. I'll stop there but there is still room for debate. Travel 90 km for that and I'll skip my turn for the next brunch!

Butter croissants - or any other pastry - very dry. Gives the impression that it would be dry pieces (that's true!) from the day before... I would like to point out that it is recurring and not just once (which can happen, I conceive). So I no longer have a croissant with my coffee in the morning. Too bad 😞

Great Location. Nevertheless make sure you ask details about the room you are about to rent. My window was looking head to head into two windows of tge neighbouring building. You could not see the sky. Just the wall and the ground (2garbadge bins and the airco unit). Mostly in the second half of the day I always had a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The otger two rooms nextdoor were in renovations with constructors drilling the hard surfaces from 8:10 AM. No kettle or tea/coffee in the room, fyi. The restaurant was fine.basic. The location itself made it all. I would not choose this accomodation again. Best of luck!

The Chasseron restaurant is at the Yverdon counter We went to eat mushroom crusts A small one for 19 fr and a large one for 29 fr. 2 small slices of bread with very little mushrooms that seemed to come out of a can with sauce that seemed to be industrial Tasteless and way too expensive On the other hand, the other tables seemed to like what he was eating. Service Ok Personal OK At the Yverdon counter everything seemed good except the mushroom crusts Eat a fondue you will not be disappointed

I worked in that restaurant and the owner had us working 10 hours a day, he told me that the contract said 8 hours but it would be 10 and then he would pay me in cash for the rest. He never paid me, he also fed us sausages and pasta and then deducted 300 francs from our salary for that miserable meal. They take advantage of foreign workers whom they exploit and treat badly, taking advantage of the need. He had a poster in the kitchen saying “the chef is a dictator” and that's how he behaved. If something went wrong he would throw things from the kitchen at you and scream like a madman. I learned French swear words in that kitchen. Very good place, well revitalized compared to a certain era. Excellent menu with products for all tastes. Friendly service. Warm atmosphere with bistro character for those who like it. You will have to come back to enjoy the terrace at midday. So a great time around a good dish!

Special mention for the magnificent welcome, a table prepared with taste... the humor of the owner and his kindness, the staff who took great care of us, the delicious, careful and well-served cuisine! And all this with the gourmet passport! Thank you very much, we will be happy to come back!
