Very nice South Indian restaurant in Luzern. Really good dosa and idly.

Friendly service. Unfortunately the food was nothing special.

This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in Switzerland! We drove 40mins to come here two times in two days already! They have plenty of great options in their menu. The food was always served hot and tasted authentic (just like it would have in India). I learnt that the chef is from South India. They also happily adjusted the spice levels as per our preference. It was an absolute delight to visit this restaurant. The staff are also very polite and friendly.

I was craving for Dhosa since I returned from Asia and i wasn’t disappointed. One of the best Dhosas I ever had in addition to excellent service! My friend had the chicken biryani which was also very good. Highly recommended. Living in Zurich I am already planning my next visit.

We drove from Reutlingen, Germany to this place just to have the proper and the best Indian food. No where in Germany did we get impressed with what’s considered as Indian food. What you get as Indian food here in dosa house is exactly as what you’d get in south India. This is a must visit restaurant for anyone craving authentic South Indian food.

Excellent South Indian food just a short stroll from old town. Plenty of vegetarian options. Came in for takeaway on a rainy evening. Warm hospitality on display and my order arrived quickly. The food was excellent. Haven’t had a proper dosa since the UK. Biryani was outstanding. Lots of little freebies a nice touch. Well worth a visit if you’re in Lucerne.

This place is 30 kms away from my home.. that doesn’t stop our family to drive there every weekend.. amazing prices, and very delicious authentic dosa. It’s worth the visit for sure, can only highly recommend

Great place to have South Indian cuisine in Luzern!

We ordered idlies and dosas and it was delicious! The sambhar was a bit off, but the quality of dosas and idlies made up for it 😋

Amazing Dosa and Idlis served. We tried their Ghee Roast, Cheese, Plain and Mysore Dosas plus Idli Chaat and Kachepuram Idli Very yummy, quick service, very delicious Sambhar, very nice location

Very good south indian restaurant. We tried the idli and vegetarian thali meals - tasted really good. Kudos to chef ! Staff were polite and friendly. Highly recommended !

One of the best place for south indian food in Europe

Very nice atmosphere. We really liked it. We weren't familiar with the menu, but we really enjoyed the food. The waiter didn't speak German, but was extremely friendly. Now about the ambient music in the background. I felt very at ease and magical with this broadening of cultural horizons through Indian music. Very clean and decent portions. Sauces were top. Excellent service and food. Very upscale vibe. Every thing we tried was exceptional and the quantity decent. One must try the south indian filter coffee there. We were craving for south Indian food in Switzerland and were very happy to discover this place. We were waited on by Shankar, who was very polite and accommodating. He even suggested some alternatives to our order which worked out perfectly for our family. We will definitely recommend and visit again. The food was so good, we forgot to take pictures of most of what we ate. Also, unlike most Indian restaurants, everything we ate was fantastic. Usually one dish will be good and everything else, not so much! Here we couldn't find fault with any dishes.

Limited south indian food choices....taste just okay

Dosa house viktoria is a very good alternative for Indian food here in Lucerne… The hostess was super friendly, the place has a very classy Indian decor and the food was great. Overall a very good experience, would definitely recommend the chicken kothu paratha. The veg thali was good, the vegetables were cooked in home style, very few masalas but full of flavor. The idli Chaat was something very unique, definitely worth a try.

Seems to have recently opened being a sister-restaurant to another Indian restaurant a few bus stops away. The dosas are really good, and the chai was a much needed break from a daily coffee! The time from ordering to getting served your good is a bit longer than I would typically expect but as we sat outside on a very pleasant day, this wasn't an issue.

A little expensive, the food was nice enough but nothing special. Service only so-so. Perhaps we should have booked somewhere with a more conventional Indian menu. A bit disappointing.

Overall a 4.5! PROS: 1) The kesar was good 2) The dosas had a lot of flavor 3) The masala idli packed a punch 4) The dahi vada was like traditional and it was made well 5) Uttapam was also good 6) Staff was very nice! CONS: 1) There wasn’t enough masala portion in the masala dosa 2) The pineapple Kesari did not taste like pineapple it tasted like ghee (and coffee according to one person?) 3) There were people sitting next to us that were on a meeting for a long time and talking quite loudly. 4) they did not have one of the most popular dishes- rava dosa

Best south Indian restaurant in all ways.

We are here twice during our stay in Lucerne and the food was really good, we tried the chilly cheese dosa, chicken curry, malabar paratha and chicken vepudu and everything tasted delicious and well made.

Loved the food here. It’s so authentic and fresh! The place is very clean and the vibe of the restaurant is on point. Service was a bit slow rest everything was good.

We were in Luzerne for three days and ended up going to dosa house for dinner two nights in a row! We highly recommend it.

Great menu . Chicken biriyani rice and chicken cooked separately to the extent the chicken thigh fillets were of lesser temperature to the rest of the rice . Fresh Malabar parottas and the mini thalis were great .

An absolute culinary delight for those who love South Indian food which is a rare speciality specially in Europe. The location was delightfully decorated and the menu was extensive and is sure to suit every pallet! The service was outstanding special word of thanks for Bharat who made our visit not only enjoyable by also memorable!

I loved the food, and more than the food I loved the hospitality. Being a Tamilan it felt like a home away from home. The wait staff did a splendid job and their hospitality was just the way it was back at home. I'd like to give a special mention to Janardhana, her prompt availability and eagerness to make the guests feel comfortable was very pleasing. Along with her crew, she took very good care of me and my guests, they were all praises for my recommendation. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who's looking for authentic South Indian food and a very hospitable environment. Good place and food is all so very good

Dosa House is like an oasis in the middle of a desert. We were searching for any restaurant which serves authentic Indian food and to our luck they served us excellent South Indian lip smacking delicacies. Quality of masala dosas' was better than what you get in South India. My fav was masala Dosa with chicken curry. Outstanding indeed!

Finally got to have authentic South Indian food. The food was delicious! Good portions & fairly priced. If anyone wants a real taste of South Indian food, this is the perfect place. The best South Indian food I have had in Switzerland. Will surely go back !

Loved this place.. Food was amazing.. we had ordered Medu wada, Masala Dosa, Cheesy Uttapam and Bowl of Rasam. Wada was hot and crispy.. masala dosa and uttapam had very authentic taste… The owner/manager was very friendly and gave us many tips/suggestions about Lucerne tourist spots..

Good south indian restaurant in Lucerne. Did not actually expect the quality but was surprised with the taste. Tries Mysore Bonda, Mysore Masala Dosa and Poori Bhaji. Everything was good. The service can be faster. Reserve a table, else you may have to wait.

Super chef with super team serving traditional south Indian food.. We offered three types of dosa and all of them tasted good.. Defitely come back again..

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday we were a group of 9 reached early around 5:30 pm we didnt have a reservation but they were kind enough to accommodate us even though theywere booked. Very friendly service and to top it all off food was really really good we ordered the almost 70% of the dosa menu and would rate all of the dosas a 10/10 idlis were also good too.

Not visiting again! Seemed like we were unwelcome in a rather empty restaurant. Moreover, they had the nerve to lie by telling us they cannot seat us at a table we requested because there was a reservation in 20 minutes, when no one of that group size turned up for the rest of the evening. In general, the staff was courteous, but the food was average at best. Reeks of a wasted opportunity!

Could have been so much more. The chutney portions for a place that's name includes dosa is laughable and definitely could use a revamping of the consistency in the thickness of chutney. The dosa had a hint of sweetness don't know what that's all about. Definitely not an Andhra style dosa, probably leans towards the Chennai style dosa. It's not inedible per SE but Left me dissatisfied. The less we talk about the definition of biryani the better. Would I visit it again probably not. But good staff and atmosphere.

Very good food, not too spicy but not too mild either. The staff was very polite, often asked about your welfare and appeared professional. Overall very good. Hahaha S. is so stupid, you can't find me anyway.

Great place for Indian food in Lucerne. Wide variety of South Indian dishes

Secret spot in Lucerne! The smell of different spices and incense sticks give that wonderful place something special. The 20 minute walk from the train station is totally worth it and i tell you why in particular: The Mango Lassi for the safe, the Madras Mule for the spicy. We loved the Medu Wada, lentil croquettes! It is a MUST to eat the Dosa - of course our choice was wisely: Vegetable Masala Dosa and Paneer Masala Dosa! Authentic food and service in this restaurant 😊

First impression, very hygienic and clean. The food was very good and of high quality. But to our impression, we have the feeling that the orange sauce in the picture below was partially expired or something like that, because it didn't taste good at all. The rest is OK. We also wanted to take some food home with us and it was packaged very elegantly and in a very environmentally friendly way. A visit there would definitely be worth it. I would give it a 7/10.

I totally loved this place, nostalgic for Indian food.

Probably one of the great South Indian restaurant in Europe, not just Switzerland. We tried Thali, Dosas, Wada and Samosa. Everything single food item was prepared so well.

Got suggested this restaurant for South Indian cuisine when I visited the restaurant 'Kanchi', which was mostly serving north Indian cuisine. Both restaurants are run by the same management and serve the best Indian food in Lucerne. With excellent service, we got served the most delicious South Indian cuisine, which is usually hard to find in Swiss. Everything we ordered was great. Personal favourites were the chicken and lamb dishes and the Briyani, of course. The food and the friendly atmosphere sure felt like a trip back to India. Highly recommend!

Specializing in South Indian food, especially dosas. I got a potato one, a cheese one and a lentil croquette with spinach. There was a lack of quantity and seasoning in the filling of the dosas

Frankly, bit of a disappointment. I went with lot of expectations; Dosa was just about good. The other dishes ordered Poori and Kothu Parota were just ok. Rating it 3 star just because Dosa was crispy and it would be a tad unfair to rate lower in one visit.
