Thank you to Manuela and Jürgen for your incredible hospitality, food, and advice. We were a large group and they were extremely accommodating to all. The food was unbelievable! The Sachertorte and Schnitzel will live in my memory forever. We unfortunately had to leave in a rush due to road closure concerns, so never got to thank you properly for your flexibility and generosity as hosts. We will definitely be back and recommend this place very highly. To top off an amazing stay, the location is perfect for any outdoor activities and the village is undeniably charming. Highly recommend. edit: I would also like to add that the hosts were well-informed about the local conditions and kept us up to-date. They truly looked out for us - our group and other groups we saw on the mountains may have had unpleasant experiences had they not been so informed. We were incredibly lucky to have such attentive hosts.

Came in expecting the food to taste like cement, but was proven completely wrong. Food was amazing and the best kebab i have had in Switzerland. The guy serving us was also very cute

Unfortunately, the quality doesn't justify the price here. 44 CHF for 2x hot chocolate and 2 crepes is a lot, but unfortunately the taste doesn't blow your mind either. Service goes like this, we had to wait about 25 minutes until everything was there.

Nice hotel in Château d'œx, we were a group of 20 people staying there for the weekend. We were made very welcome, the evening meal tailor-made for us as well as the breakfast were excellent. The rooms are simple but clean and in good condition. The only downside may be: we no longer have access to common spaces from 11:00 p.m. Good value for money and professionalism

We like to eat lunch here. The buffet is sufficient and tasty. Something for everyone. The fried eggs in tamarind sauce are particularly recommended. The service team is very nice and friendly. We like to come eat here ;)

Take your legs at your neck!!! Note: May however be correct in two cases: 1. If positive for covid: because you do not have to endure the taste and in any case you are already sick before having eaten it so the difference is no longer there. 2. If you're drunk and this is your last option but then you really have to be on the brink. Make some pasta instead.

Food, the pizzas are very good, the Paella was a little overcooked but tasty. as there were not many people there. During our visit, the person at the Service was stressed, which is not obvious, I understand. Despite this, we still had a good time, thank you to her.

I'm happy to take a 10-minute detour for such a good kebab. The portions are large, the price is right. The waiting times are short and the service is always friendly. You can also enjoy the extra coffee on the house even more.

Either there is coriander in the Dürüm or you have rinsed it with soapy water. Unbitable

Lousy service!!!! the waitress told us that the starter was chosen by the kitchen… Ahaha I laughed and finally we had the choice between two starters… starter arrived 3 onion rings in the basket and a mini mixed salad! For the main course and the dessert it was good! But really lousy service, I asked for a cold peach tea, she brought a lemon, ordered water, she never brought us back… Anyway, move on.

Rösti more than disappointing... No flavor, small quantity... someone who doesn't know how to cook would have done much better...

We spent one night at this campsite. To begin with we “got the wrong entry” the boss (very unpleasant) corrected us, telling us that she didn’t understand that everyone makes a mistake every time. In fact, on the door where she wants us to enter, there is no indication of entry. Especially since both doors lead to the same place at the reception and restaurant. Fortunately, it was not her who did the recording for us but a gentleman who was very friendly, he explained everything to us, it was quite clear. As for the hygiene of the shower areas, there is unfortunately none, in the women's showers, hair everywhere on the walls as well as on the drain outlets... and in the men's showers the hygiene was deplorable as well as the smells of rising sewers 😕 Unfortunately, I do not recommend this campsite if you stop at Gruyère.
