Very disappointing experience!
For the exorbitant price of CHF 595 per night in a historic hotel, I thought I was offering my partner a luxurious, high-quality anniversary gift. Unfortunately, the experience was quite the opposite.
The booking process is totally inflexible and very complicated: confirmation of available places is only given 3 days before the date of stay and still has to be approved by the owners. The confirmation must then be signed by hand and returned within 3 days. Our booking request was refused three times on the grounds that the hotel was allegedly fully booked. On the day we booked, the hotel was virtually empty.
Customer service is one of the worst I've ever encountered: the staff speak neither Swiss German nor German, knowing only rudimentary English, showing no understanding or sympathy in emergencies or illness, and family unfriendly.
The value for money is the poorest and the only reason I can imagine why this hotel still exists with such managment is its unique location with the breathtaking view of Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau.
Aperol Spritz got a cheap, ready-made Aperol Sprirz from the supermarket for a lot of money. The service was bad, we had to clear the table ourselves so we could sit down there. The table had never seen a rag either. Definitely not a second time!! !!!!!
I'll eat here more often or take takeaway. The pasta and rice dishes are always good, but I would avoid the duck ingredient. The satay chicken has too little sauce and it is completely tasteless. I found my favorites here.
Service was very friendly and the food was very good...large portions that were super filling...tasted good too, the Taquessa tacos with prawns had a lot of cheese in them and were therefore a little greasy...but otherwise great👍🏻 Music was for me a little too loud...
The only fault of this restaurant is that the room is quite dark, otherwise the cuisine is superb, the starters offered are generous and the service is very pleasant and warm.
He took the tacos out of the freezer and heated them. Shame! Even though there was no one there. And there were 3 cooked. He lost a customer. To avoid.
