Inexpensive hotel in a better location. Friendly host family.

My pizza was good, the base was very thin, which I like. My partner had a hamburger. Apparently the fries had already been pre-fried and were therefore completely dry and also lukewarm... The burger contained an ice-cold slice of tomato, which didn't help the burger's warmth, which was a shame. Unfortunately, Weidstübli is currently lacking consistency. We know it differently. The service was good and personal.

Nice little cafe located on the main street passing through the town of Lauterbrunnen. We stopped by to get a coffee/hot chocolate and a bite to eat. Coffee was hot and good! They also had some food option (both hot and cold). We also tried the ham and cheese toast and croissant which were good. Note that they don’t warm the pastries (cakes or croissants, etc). Staff were friendly and helpful. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is nice, have something while admiring the beauty of this amazing town in Switzerland! Totally worth it!

Review of the stay on December 20, 2020 We had a great experience! The breakfast was very fresh. The room is nice and big and comfortable! It was in a really nice location with great views and a welcoming atmosphere. We went to the restaurant for dinner which had very interesting and fresh food (venison burgers and wild goulash). The staff was very friendly and personable.

Beautiful place with a place, beautiful and very quiet

The blueberry cheesecake was amazing. Most and had a great blueberry taste. It looks amazing. The chicken sandwich was very crispy and flavorful. The hamburger buns were crispy and also good. Also love the French fries. They look great.

A very nice place in the mountains ⛰️ you can enjoy a warm drink next to the snow mountains, a really like that theh have a such a thing there

Perfectly located at the end of the descent and therefore ideal for a stop at the end of the ski day. Very nice staff, good drinks (not just 1 or 2 beers to choose from) and a cozy atmosphere.

Fuera de la brisa mordedora y disfrutando del cálido sol de la mañana, un café del Día de Año Nuevo nunca supo mejor.Sí, la vista es como uno esperaría para los Alpes suizos. . impresionante PERO. . .. . . pudimos ver el 'clima' bajando desde Grindelwald y luego giramos y rodamos hacia Lauterbrunnen y luego giramos una vez más y retrocedemos por el valle antes de disiparnos por completo. Well, Gimmelwald isn't what it once was despite the ooohs and aaaahs. On a normal day in summer or spring you actually need a RESERVATION to eat here, even if there are just two of you and you only want a quick sandwich at one of 10 open tables. And never mind that the service people don't even speak German. All English here. Oh, and don't get me started with the kids doing nothing but staring at their cell phones. Gimmelwald has become just an Instagram photo. Not even Walter's place gets any business because, omigod, it's up the hill a little from all the action. Rick Steves, I'm afraid you ruined this one. Better to wander around Lauterbrunnen's upper valley if you want to see how people live around here. Or get off the train to Wengen at Wengwald and wander up to Leiterhorn. And, if you really must have a restaurant, rent an e-bike and go up the Lauterbrunnen valley past Stechelhorn to the Berggasthaus Trachsellaunen for something special, especially the valley view coming back home.

Wir genossen unser kulinarisches Erlebnis so sehr, dass wir hier zweimal zu Abend gegessen haben. Das gebratene Hähnchen, Schweinebauch, hausgemachte Wurst und Karotten Ingwer Suppe waren alle wunderbar. Die hausgemachte Wurst ist eine der besten, die ich in ganz Europa gekostet habe. Die Möhren-Ingwer-Suppe ist nicht von dieser Welt großartig! Unsere vierköpfige Gruppe bestellte es beide Nächte. Das Restaurant hatte auch ein gutes Verständnis für die Anforderungen an Zöliakie und Glutenfreiheit für meinen Partner. Guter Service und zu vernünftigen Preisen, einschließlich des lokalen Weins im Glas oder der 1/2-Liter-Karaffe.

I'm just sorry that we can't give more than 5 stars!! We came to the waterfall during a weekend in March, and we were lucky to have found the kiosk open!! We tried a cappuccino and an American coffee, but the cappuccino was so good that we had an encore! The milk used is that of the local valleys, a unique taste! Trust me, as Italians we can say one of the best cappuccinos we've ever had before! Above all, you can hear and see that the kids put all their love and passion into it! A lot of attention to detail, service and products and above all there is never a shortage of chat or good advice on what to do in the area! If you are in the area, but not only, an absolutely mandatory stop! Prices absolutely in line, you can also pay a cash register and they speak both German and English! My wife and I had 2 lunches here. You order the food inside and they bring it to you either inside or out. There are only 3 tables outside so you might want to make it an early lunch. The tomato soup is a real treat served with bread for only 7 SF; The goulash soup is also very tasty. Mr. Berry who runs the restaurant is a cheerful efficient man.

Hotel well located in Lauterbrunnen, charming. The rooms are themed to the region. The balcony offers a breathtaking view. Breakfast is average The catering is great

Hotel could use a bit of an update but when you are here are you really staying in the rooms? Staff and spa was amazing. Would recommend
