Tradition obliges and we were in Stein am Rhein at Easter and at the Rheinfels restaurant for lunch. You can't tell from the outside of the house how much tradition there is in it. You eat fish and it's usually crispy and very good. When it's nice there is a nice terrace by the river. Be sure to try the Truttiker Pinot Blanc. I had the Frito Misto, very nicely done. Yesterday after strolling through the city, we decided to treat ourselves to coffee and cake and came across a great coffee shop with a chic decor and a generous selection. I ordered a bagel and carrot cake. A warm, fresh, prepared salmon bagel with leaf lettuce and topped with a fine French sauce. I can recommend it to anyone who likes to enjoy something light. Nous avons mangé un cordon bleu et des filets de perches, c’était excellent. Les portions étaient très correctes. Le personnel était très sympathique mais a commis pas mal d’erreurs. L’idée des pâtes au mètre est très bonne, dommage du prix (27.- par personnes). C’est cela qui nous a retenu. L’atmosphère du restaurant est assez froide.

Sehr schönes Restaurant im Hotel Chlosterhof. Sehr nette, freundliche Bedienung. Ausgezeichnetes Essen, schöne Präsentation und zum Abschluss ein herrliches Dessert. Auf jeden Fall ein Ort zum geniessen.
