I have been coming for ice cream for many years and practically from spring to the end of summer, almost every week we take a kilo to take away. The ice cream is the best in the Locarno area, in my opinion, so there's nothing to say. Today however, while I was getting my ice cream to take home, taking the Kilo, I was told that due to "company policy" you can choose 4 flavours. I find this absolutely ridiculous, they don't claim to have 25 flavors all by the teaspoon, but instead of putting 230 grams per flavour, maybe you put a little less but you can choose a few more flavours!!

Last night we were pampered by Chef Marco Badalucci with a menu that was nothing short of divine! The welcoming and refined atmosphere of the Badalucci restaurant, the professionalism of Chiara and Matteo, as always, made our anniversary magical. A stroke of luck to live in the same house as Barone. Great restaurant with delicious food and wood fired pizzas. The wine and desserts are also sensationally good. I would particularly like to emphasize the warm service. You are really pampered and the service is very efficient. Baron is a real must when in Ascona. .

INCREDIBLE experience, both in the restaurant and in the hotel!!! I have rarely eaten so well: the dishes were magnificent and delicious, the service was perfect. I slept very well, the room was quiet and comfortable. In all this perfection, the staff remains very warm and welcoming. I have nothing to complain about, and only want to go back.

We found this restaurant completely by chance and it was a pleasant surprise! The dishes on the menu looked all of fine quality and very original. It was hard to make our choice. We went for the carpaccio di capriolo, tagliatelle al cacao e cinghale, and tiramisu agli agrumi. The waitress and the cook were very kind. You can tell they put the effort into what they offer to their customers. We definitely recommend this place, either for lunch or dinner.
