Lovely place when the weather is nice, good terrace in the sun and very extensive menu

What an outstanding piece of earth. We felt very comfortable all around, and we would particularly like to highlight a very charming employee at the bar named Michelle. We celebrated a birthday and Michelle looked after us very courteously. Thank you Michelle! We can highly recommend the Hotel Julen and would be happy to come back!

This was the far best stay we ever had in our lives, and trust me we've stayed in well-know 5 star hotels all around the world. Let me start with the exceptional staff, from their greeting till end our journey they were so helpful, caring and attentive. I've never experienced a service this wonderful and felt care towards their customers. Not to mention they helped us with all our reservations, picked us up from the train station. Rooms are exceptional, beds are comfy and appealing to the eye. Before visiting, we weren't sure if the hotel design was what we were looking for, after entering our room, we realized that it has its own aura captivating the visitor. Something I can't really explain but need to be experienced. Might be considered as a small gesture but the bourbon in the room was exceptional and we had a glass or two every day after skiing. Made us relax even more and enjoy our time. Breakfast was fantastic, I was looking towards it everyday. My favorite was the avocado egg dish. Yet again, the staff was wonderful. Spa can get crowded but everyone is respectful and makes the experience smooth. Two sauna options with a stream room and an amazing hot tub looking at Matterhorn. Go as early as you can to see the mountain :) Location is fairly easy and in the middle of the city, you can walk to ski lifts and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. Being above everything else makes it a bit more special with an unforgettable view and calm good night sleep. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully Omnia will be our yearly stop. We had to book at Matthiol last minute as our other hotel had to cancel due to inclement weather conditions. From our first call to them to check if they had availability to our departure, they were extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. Even though we booked the day of and had train delays due to weather, they still easily arranged for transport from the train station. Lucas and Laura have both been fabulous, as have all staff. We also mentioned as an aside when we were checking in that it was our honeymoon to share that we were even more grateful that they had availability last minute, and they quickly arranged beautiful towel swans and rose petals in our room the second day. The extra touches here are what make this place great. It’s impeccably clean, the breakfast is fantastic, and the fondue huts are super fun. I cannot recommend Matthiol Hotel enough!!!

Everyone from the restaurant/bar staff to Norbertto were first class humans and were always there to help with a smile on their faces. We felt they were our freinds before our stay was over. Would definately recomment Hotel Zermama......and we'll stay there again!

Charming “ski in” restaurant located a short walk from the Furi gondola stop. Terrific, welcoming staff with a great relaxed vibe. The French onion soup is delicious. As are the locally sourced meats & cheese.

We came here for the chef's 5 course tasting menu and loved every moment. When I made a reservation I noted that we had a birthday in the group and they made sure he felt special the whole time! This included having a happy birthday hand down card on the table, singing him happy birthday, and an extra little birthday treat at the end. We loved it! One server (I forgot his name) started the meal with us and was very kind and professional. Fabi then continued with us through until dessert, a special birthday treat, and topping off the meal with some schnapps and an espresso. The food was wonderful and the experience with Fabi was incredible! We had a great time laughing with her, asking questions about the dishes, and learning more about Zermatt for skiing, food, and some of the history of the homes/buildings here. We will absolutely come back when we return to Zermatt and hope she is still here! We highly recommend the 5 course tasting menu! Thank you to Fabi, the server that began eith us, and the whole Potato team!

Lovely staff. Food was amazing.

Only reachable by skis or boards, the location is outstanding. We sat outside with a direct view of the Matterhorn. The rosti was especially great.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to detail from the servers. I sat for approximately an hour, completely ignored while the servers were hopping around the restaurant. Granted, they were exceptionally busy since there were two servers managing approximately 100 people, but still outrageous. Please get more staff if you’re going to take on this many tables.

Very nice hotel with charm. Good cuisine and especially strong ginger punch. Very nice interior design and great view over Zermatt. Located right on the slopes and hiking trail. Rather upper price range. Clean 🚻 facility.

Great service and cozy feeling. Decor across facility immerses you into the Swiss Alps. Love their breakfast and service of team member Silvana. Greatly recommend. We stayed in a room with a partial view of the Matterhorn. Be sure to use their shuttle service from the train station.
