Old World charm and hospitality meets creative fine dining...the service was excellent (by the mother-daughter proprietor team), the view on the terrace was beautiful, and the food! Top notch. With my boyfriend, shared the carrot/mango/coco/ginger cappuccino (starter) and the boletus ravioli and chicken with summer truffles...all were delicious...for dessert, we had baked chocolate ice with some fresh fruit/basil on the side (which was just ok...not my favorite dessert). We also had a good Portuguese red wine...overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a beautiful meal.

Jedes Gericht war schön präsentiert und schmackhaft. Zusammen hatten wir eine Auswahl aus Fisch- und Fleisch Hauptgänge, auch diverse Suppen und Salate, alles tadellos. Auch die Schokolade Kreation zum Dessert war eine Kaloriensünde wert.Der Service ist freundlich und kompetent. Herausragend sind der Maitre d' aus Deutschland, der vielsprachige Livio aus Kanada, sowie Janine, die nette und effiziente Kellnerin aus dem Dorf nebenan.

This week there were five of us eating as external guests. The placemats were badly wrinkled and the service was lousy. The employee was overwhelmed. It took a long time to order drinks. When ordering food, he had to ask several times, even though my husband and I had ordered salt-crusted fish in advance. The fish was not cut up properly and I had huge equipment that should have been visible. (This wasn't the first time we've eaten the fish at Ernitage) The employee simply left everyone's ordered fries at the free table next to them. We had to create it ourselves. We also had to wait a long time until the table was cleared. We then put it together ourselves. Some of it wasn't even cleared away. When pouring the wine, the employee poured it as if it were water and the whole table had red wine stains. He didn't apologize! It wasn't our first time in the Hermitage, but it would be our last for a long time. For a 5 star hotel we expect a different service. We are not demanding guests, but we have never had such lousy service! A pity.

A superb hotel in a very beautiful location and surroundings. The room is generously sized, excellent and, above all, of high quality and beautifully furnished with a sense of detail. The view from the balcony was beautiful. This hotel is also perfect for conferences. These rooms are also large and well-equipped. And the service from the hotel management and staff was consistently as good as you could imagine. The restaurant was simply excellent, both in terms of the quality of the food and the committed and friendly staff. It was a wonderful stay.

Until yesterday it would have had 5 stars everywhere. I go there regularly for a cup of coffee and ask for 1dl more milk. So far it hasn't been a problem, today they charged me 20 centimes more. I call that cutthroat. I go regularly and support the bakery and still get punished. I will never visit this bakery again and will publish this in the press. Above all, I will inform my customers about this bakery.

Friendly staff, helpful and accommodating. Understanding and uncomplicated for special needs (intolerances) Fondue was great.

When the food truck opened in Château-d'Oex, the hamburgers were of great quality, the potatoes were on point and the service was spectacular. It was the best hamburgers and potatoes. As time went by, everything got worse. The potatoes look cooked and only taste like oil. There are never 2 portions of chicken to put in the "big American" or the staff often don't know that you can change the burger from beef to chicken. At the trailer near Gruyères, we tried it once, we placed the order, we waited in the car, when we went to see if it was ready, the employee told us that there was no chicken for our hamburgers, 20 minutes of waiting for it to come without hamburgers. Unfortunately we gave up going to the burger station. Because it was always a disappointment. I give it 2 stars just because at first they were very good, at this point it doesn't even deserve one star.

A good wine bar 🍷 that gets busy.

Everything was wonderful! Food portions were perfect (we ordered the smaller versions) and the food itself was delicious. Service was also very friendly. It is definitely worth a visit!
