I want to change the money because I just want to pay for a parking (you need coins to pay for a parking on the street) but they treat me like a thief! For your information I just take this money out ATM!
What appears to be an inconspicuous and perhaps even rather unkempt restaurant by Swiss standards is, according to Google reviews, a culinary miracle.
In fact, the visit was worth it. We came in, were served immediately and decided on the recommended "special". A few minutes later we had our “sandwich” in our hands. Card payment as well as the option to pay via Twint were possible, but unfortunately it was not possible to eat on site as it was exclusively a takeaway.
The meat was tasty, especially the pork belly pieces were good (even if it sounds unappetizing). (8/10) The bread is also very airy and stable, not too present. (8/10) I was missing a good hot sauce, Sriratcha is unfortunately a bit lacking in innovation and not really hot. (6/10)
All in all, a very tasty sandwich. I can't say whether it's really 5 stars, we didn't try enough.
Conclusion: Definitely worth a visit, ideal for a date or a short stop. But nothing earth-shattering. (7/10)
Every time I'm in Escholzmatt, a visit to the friendly bakery is a must. And every time I am pleasantly surprised with seasonal baked goods at absolutely fair prices :)
At Geissmatt you can enjoy a brilliant 4-course menu consisting of tuna tartare, spaghetti, steak and dessert. The atmosphere is very homely, the service is friendly and attentive. The menu costs CHF 69 per person, reservation is recommended. Really nice.
Unique culinary experience in a family atmosphere.
Attention: Google Maps does not know that you are not allowed to drive on the road coming from the south.
Every time our expectations are exceeded: Stefan always conjures up culinary delights. The beef tartare is the best around - and I've had the pleasure of enjoying quite a few! And Bea is very attentive, warm and knows the best wines! Highly Recommended! We'd love to come back regularly! A real insider tip!
