We went to eat at this charming little restaurant on a rainy evening. As a starter, we had a platter of local cheeses and cold meats which were delicious (not counting the homemade pepper jam). We ordered a gorgonzola risotto, a shank and beef cheeks. Everything was super good and cooked to perfection! The tiramisù was exquisite, although personally I prefer it with more coffee. We received excellent service from the hosts who own this place. To top it off, we were treated to a little attention from the owner, a limoncello. To recommend!!

For the first time in this lovely place in the company of friends and partner.. what can I say.. very satisfied and happy with the location, fireplace lit, perfect temperature for dining and quiet room, very clean and tidy.. delicious, delicate food with perfect pairings, we took the menu complete with meat and fish, all exceptional... friendly, non-intrusive but attentive staff and a kind chef who at the end of the service was careful to say hello and ask if everything was okay. I found the price to be very fair for the service and the food, which was delicious and well prepared. Highly recommended.. we will be back.

Always very kind staff. Small menu with very fresh dishes, excellent quality, local products and even homemade bread. A little greeting from the kitchen is never missing (amuse bouche) Strong point the Cordon Bleu!

Outside ... great, inside great, we wouldn't have gone in without Googlemaps. After we also rejected the tourist table, everything was fine, friendly service and excellent, refined Ticino food.

I’ve been there since the new opening another 7-8 times and every experience has been straordinary! From the service to the exceptional food. Prices are very fair and the portions are very generous. The atmosphere is a typical cosy grotto, it’s very welcoming and nice. Service is outstanding, staff is very nice and helpfull, they also suggest very good dishes and wine! As mentioned before, i higly reccomend this grotto! Well done Grotto Lauro!😊
