UNBEATABLE! Highly recommended for families, but the best thing is that it is a quiet hotel.
My stay at this mountain hotel was exceptional. We booked a duplex and were assigned the 13th floor for my birthday, with spectacular views. Although the restaurant was full, they offered us dinner in the bar with live music. The breakfast was complete and delicious, and the atmosphere, despite being familiar, was calm and cared for. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique experience in a mountain setting.
Microaggression: racism
The globe is now half owned by a Thai company and we are in 2024.
But discrimination against women and Asians is still there.
Today, March 23, 2024, around 4:00 p.m., I went to look at the Serax and Marni plate collection with my baby, who was almost asleep in my arms.
There was a woman between 45 and 60 years old with blonde hair who was sorting plates. She glanced at us but said nothing. After a second she greeted an older white gentleman directly in Swiss German.
I'm Asian, but I can still speak French and German. If she doesn't serve me or speak to me because she thinks I can't speak her language or don't have enough money, we can say it's racism and ageism.
If Globus wants to justify this situation as "that saleswoman did not have that intention," this company needs to learn such a word: microaggression
Today I bought a KUKUI collection on this floor, but I was never spoken to or served.
For the honor of other employees: The people who work at delicatessa are always friendly.
A lot of red flags from the very beginning, but we were hungry and ignored them. The whole place stinks with old burned fat (just look at the wents on the ceiling, how dirty they are), menu has cusine around the world and the whole place looks like it needs some major renovation.
The food wasn’t good (I had some not fresh salad, my gf got the worst bruschetta innher life), but what will surprize you are the proces.
One of the worst restaurant we’ve recently visited in CH.
Well, yesterday we ate on a large scale, unfortunately it wasn't freshly prepared from pasta to lasagne, there was no mention of the chemical desserts, sorry, there are much better things I have to explain with a heavy heart. The cook is lazy.
I reserved a table for two at 6:30 p.m.! We waited 28 minutes to place an order. Nobody paid any attention to us during this time and we were simply forgotten. So we left the restaurant without consuming anything. I am very disappointed with the service from the staff. The restaurant had hardly any guests at that time! I will not recommend Ristorante Verdi and it was my last visit!
The location is great since it is right in the heart of Bern and around many good restaurants. Unfortunately even after this place has been renovated, we encountered many problem even when having the deluxe room. Lots of noise all throughout the night from some machines inside the hotel. The maids speak incredibly loud in the morning right outside the doors. The stomping from other rooms can be heard. The worst was the wc door, which has a glass and contributes to loosing all privacy during using the wc. The beds were uncomfortable. Overall first impression is way better than what it actually is. After mentioning this to the receptionist, there was not much interest in letting us walk out of there feeling better other than thank you for your feedback. Not sure if they took it seriously. The restaurant looks quite good
We stayed there as a family for one night. Absolutely recommended for a little break. Very friendly and competent staff, very good food, modern and comfortable furnishings and rooms. We'd love to come back!
Eaten rice from the wok with vegetables for 18.95 Fr. Hello. Not even really warm. And without meat for such a high price. Why? Cheeky...😤 Fries are good for that. The salad is also good. I don't want to complain, but I never eat rice there anymore. Sorry, that's a rip-off. Otherwise everything's good.
