If I could give this restaurant a minus that would be it. I visited with my family had a coffee time there. The service was really poor, the waitresses were unfriendly and rude. They gave us wrong meal and no apologies were offered. Took really long time until they changed it. The fondue was not ok, other places have done it better. The worst service I ever received in a restaurant!!!
Basically a solid restaurant, with a fine aperitif menu and certain food in the evening, which is really very tasty. Other items on the menu were disappointingly bland and not really original or worth the expensive price. Accordingly, I was only 50% convinced by the food. The atmosphere again is great. The service could have been more attentive. We would have liked to order dessert and coffee again at the end, but since no one came to our table and we couldn't intercept anyone, we gave up after 30 minutes and paid.
We went for a dinner, drinks and shisha with a couple of my colleagues. A place with the feel of a family restaurant. Super friendly service, good food and perhaps surpisingly (outside of arabic world) good shisha, too. I have my dietary restrictions (voluntary, not medical, just avoiding extra carbs) and the chef made me something out of the menu to accommodate. And have to say it was super tasty. A definite repeat should the time and travel allow for it.Would have given 4.5 rating if it would have been possible due to great friendly service.
The Gasthof Alpenblick in Ferenberg is about 9 km from Bern.
The focus of this house is certainly not the rooms. Our room was basic but acceptable. We had a room with a bathroom. But there are also rooms where the toilet or shower are on the same floor. I can't judge these rooms.
In the evening, in the dark, there was no light in front of my room door. During the day this is less of a problem because of a skylight. Unfortunately, this is of little use in the dark.
The dining room is very friendly and, if I saw it correctly, relatively new.
The food (pizza and salad) was good and in sufficient quantity.
I can't complain about the breakfast either.
You got a plate with sausage/cheese, tomatoes, mozzarella, butter, a basket with bread, orange juice and the hot drink you wanted.
The inn is on a hiking route. Catering to hikers or cyclists who are going on a tour is more the focus of the house.
From there you have a beautiful view.
Rabbits and hedgehogs also say “goodnight” to each other.
Anyone looking for peace and relaxation has come to the right place. If you like it more luxurious or want to have more action without having to drive the car first, you should look for another alternative.
Every company has as good as the worst employee - and here it is the boss herself.
Yes, I didn't see the sign on the ground at the entrance to the terrace (please wait for them to be placed). But that's no reason to have your boss yell at you from behind without greeting you. It continues in a spiteful, didactic tone until she finally allows you to sit in a free seat.
Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms because I didn't see any.
Super nice staff, great location and fine food

Yesterday, five of us spontaneously went to the Gottstatterhaus at lunchtime without a reservation - we received a very friendly welcome and were given a nice table. The perch fillet “Mariage” was excellent and the service was top-notch!
Price / performance perfect - I would love to come back next time ❤️
My colleague and I's Dürüm was rolled really badly and fell apart right from the start. We could have done it even better. The flatbread was cold and wasn't “baked” but rather “raw”. In terms of taste, it wasn't seasoned well either and we had the feeling that all the ingredients were just thrown together.
The salespeople called us (everyone else too) “Habibi” the whole time, which was unnecessary… Otherwise the ambience on site was okay. According to my colleague “Like at the bazaar”.
Customer orientation is when you stand at the checkout without a wallet, your mobile phone provider lets you down and you can't pay with TWINT and a Coop shooting mat
Employee creates a hotspot for you with his own cell phone. Simply GREAT!
