Personally, I don't know why this site's rating is 4.3. For me it's 4.9, for sure! I received extremely good service, the "menu of the day" is excellent and at fair prices (considering we are in Zermatt), the place is beautiful and well located. The person who helped me spoke Portuguese, English, French, Italian and a little German, fantastic! Good wines and beers too. Anyway, I liked everything; I almost didn't go because of the rating here, but I went and I definitely didn't regret it!

Room was spacious and cozy. Near to train station. Staff was helpful and friendly. Have balcony that overlook mountains scenery.

VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF.

We waited 1 hour 40 minutes for the food. The staff is aware of the long waiting times. The staff was inexperienced and unprofessional. Example: When the wine dripped while pouring, it was cleaned with a finger. Communication in English and German is only possible with difficulty. French went well. The two young people were at least very hard working and very friendly, which cannot be said about the restaurant management. She seemed to be monitoring the goings-on in the restaurant from the bar. This gave us an uncomfortable feeling. The meat was soaked and floating in the Cafe de Paris. The top quality of the meat was only moderately highlighted. The salad and the wine foam soup were good. Fries could be better, hands down. Anyone with a larger build will want to stretch after the visit, as our seats were cramped and the table was quite small. Conclusion: Price-performance ratio not given and we forego another visit to the Ross stable.

Sunstar Hotel Zermatt Visited on 18/9/2019 Room over looking the mountain. Great court yard, spacious dining area, and good variety of breakfast items.

Very good snow in middle of March,coming down from 3883m is unique experience.

We had an awful experience with pressure to order, food we had to send back and they just made the whole thing stressful

Sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereit, Einrichtung Sportbar Charakter, aber Essen sehr gut. Portugiesisches Speisen. Auch Stockfisch.

Sweet shop and best bread in Zermatt, always freshly prepared in the morning. Nice employees and a cool boss. Highly recommended.

Nasty Bombardino at crazy prices and then in a plastic cup!

The pizzas are not expensive but they are really bad!
