A catastrophic and unfriendly welcome from the waitress, who refused to serve us a coffee on the terrace and for no reason…… She tells us that at that time (12:45 p.m.), we also have to have lunch…..and that the 2 tables next to each other were at the café…. First of all, we understand your disappointment with our credit card payment policy for amounts less than 20 francs. This policy is intended to cover the high commission fees associated with credit card transactions for small amounts, in this case 4.-- for a coffee shop. However, we offered to charge 20.-- to your credit card and return 16.--. This information is displayed on our front door. How do you make up such lies??? - At no time did your waitress agree to serve us “despite the crowds” on your terrace where only 2 tables were occupied….. - And above all at no time was I aggressive or arrogant….. it’s against my principles because I am respectful. But there, reading your response, you clearly do not accept having made a mistake and I find that more than regrettable….. Your message is a complete lie and is unacceptable. Own up to your mistakes or keep a low profile, and correct your behavior!

Apart from the oysters, the fish sauce and the setting, everything was disappointing. After receiving liver instead of the filet mignon ordered and an overcooked steak instead of rare, we can only note that everything is bland and unappealing (including the truffle risotto and the chicken). Evening costing more than 600 francs for 5 (1 bottle of wine), the price does not guarantee quality, that's a certainty.

I know these are hard times but what’s with the attitude ? Had to wait 20 min to get a beer after asking 3 times. Only to be asked to leave !!

Während unserem Ausflug nach Rapperswil waren wir auch im Cafe Steiner. Wir waren mit unserem Besuch sehr zufrieden: die Bedienung war freundlich, Kaffee & Kuchen lecker und auch das Wiener Würsten mit Brötchen schmeckte unserem Sohn sehr gut. Das alles zu einem mehr als fairen Preis, was will man mehr?!?

always the same problem with loyalty cards on which 1 stamp per person per meal is clearly noted. But there were 6 of us, so 6 buffers. The boss refused to put 6 stamps on my card and after insisting gave us 6 cards with 1 stamp. So, cards in the trash because we won't be going back.
